    Wonderful video. I sailed there from Victoria for the first time about 5 years ago. I haven't been up the east side since.

    I would say the fish are a ball of herring. I used to see them all the time as a kid when boating in Desolation Sound.

      @@duncanmuir9275 yes you’re probably right. That was also our conclusion. We asked the staff at the Ucluelet Aquarium, but they couldn’t say for sure.

    Thank you for sharing, what a beautiful region.
    I am planning on making same trip in the spring.
    That face in the cliff is amazing.

    Great video! I always bring a hummingbird feeder to the West Coast of the Island. I don't know why, but there are plenty out there. I've had four at the feeder, three or four hovering, and five or six sitting on the lifeline, all waiting their turn! Next time you're up Lucky Creek there's a steep path with ropes on the starboard side of the falls, much easier that what you did! Wow! Thanks for the video!

      @@BertVermeerSailing thanks! We had heard we might see a lot of hummingbirds out there! Good idea on the feeder. Will have to look for the rope path next time. 👍🏻

    West coast Vancouver Island looks more prehistoric than the East Island coast

    We spent a couple days in Jacques Jervis Lagoon a couple years ago and we had a similar hummingbird encounter there! He checked out everything red on our boat and then got stuck in behind the dodger for a while, but eventually figured out his escape on his own.

    Wow - what an amazing video. You have now become my favourite sailing channel. Can't wait to see more. I wanted to ask you at the 10 minute mark there is a small floating hut of some sort. Did you ever check it out?

    • @gregmollon
      @gregmollon 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is a private floathouse. There are many in Barkley Sound.

      Thanks! Enjoy your boat! We'd recommend Iverson's Designs for the dodger/enclosure. They do great work in the Seattle area.

    Everything on your boat, all the lines and equipment is in new looking condition. Do all y'all just throw stuff out when it gets dirty/scrached?

    Nice video, but you might as well get things right - it's Berkeley Sound, same as UC Berkeley. Americans just don't pronounce it correctly.
    You know the old question - if a tree falls in Berkeley Sound, does anybody hear it?
