I dont even know what im doing here i ride the bus, nice truck 👍
Exactly what I needed for my at4. Even the shop didn’t know about this. Thanks a lot bro!!!
Great video! Just did this mod on my ‘22 AT4. Quick, easy, and clean. Thanks for posting!
Bro, I just followed all the instructions on your video to remedy the tire rub problems on my 2021 Sierra AT4, and it was a bad ass tutorial! Worked like a charm man! Thank you so much for posting this! 🙌👌💪🏽👍🤝 💯
My cousin is a very intelligent man!
I’m going to do this on my truck tomorrow having the same issue thanks so much for doing the video!
This is a great idea that I’ll be doing to my AT4 very soon. Just got some new wheels with a zero offset and i can see exactly where the rub is happening. It’s right where that bracket is located. Thanks for posting!
Easiest most efficient and expensive way to fix it. Best video. Thanks bro.
thank you for sharing.... Will be trying this soon on my 2020 3500 At4
I just did the mud flap delete kit hoping the tire running would stop and it made it worse actually. I’m about to try this tomorrow thank you for this !!!!
which delete? I just did the RC and the front rear mud flap delete just touches the tire
This is what I need to to. Thanks for posting.
No problem!
Awesome Thank You!
Thank you bro!!
Thanks for this. Looks like I can do the same for my 2021 Silverado.
Yes - 100% the same truck
Brilliant
Very informational. I just ran into this issue this afternoon and was unsure how i was going to make it work. Thanks again.
I hope it helps. Depending on offset, you may have to change it up a little, but this is hands down the best way I’ve found to keep it looking factory!
I ended up having to trim some of the top of actual mudflap because it would still rub. I think its because the KO2 tires have more of a square edge vs the more rounded edge on other tires.
@@Kurly12 Just looked at this video and still having a little rubbing with KO2's
@@eddiekraft1197 My wheels have some offset and I occasionally get some rubbing when I’m turning and go over a bump.
Nice! I have 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 and am putting 34.3" x 11.6" tires on it. (295/70 R18). Went with a 0 offset wheel too (0.7" more poke to clear the upper confrol arm better). Just removed the front mudflaps...hopefully I won't get any rubbing. Stock suspension.
Update?
Looking to put the same tires on wheels with +10 offset. How do yours fit? Did just removing front mudflaps work?
Might have to do this on mine. Prob add some washers to the bolt tho as I only have the slightest rub right at the curve back on the passenger side. Went 33x12.5r20 on a 20x9 0 offset to be safe and still get some rub 🙄. Guess I should've gone 305/55r20. Would have been perfect.
Looks like a damn Train Wreck! Nice wiring job on the Rock Lights JFC...
Let’s see yours… but yeah, I had just wired them when it shot the video. It’s snaked through the frame now.
Just wondering how u put the shock res
Liked and subscribed! Excellent mod. I am doing mine today to eliminate some minor rubbing. I know this is an older video, but I noticed you put Fox shocks on your truck. Was that a worthwhile investment? I was thinking about putting them on mine, to improve the ride.
Thank you! The BDS kit with Fox reservoirs shocks was by far my favorite investment. The slightly longer travel and better dampening almost eliminate body roll, and even jumping the thing a few feet off the ground, they never blew out and never bottomed out. I will say that is primarily from the reservoirs and longer travel, but the adjustments were most useful in the rear to eliminate sagging when towing a heavy load. The front adjustments honestly didn’t give the range of feel I had expected, but still got enough use to say I’d do it again before anything else.
All of that said, even at the softest settings, they did make the truck slightly stiffer than the Ranchos on the street, so keep that in mind - it’s always a trade off.
Thanks for the reply.

Do the 35s clear at full compression /stuffed up in the wheel well? Thanks for this!
Yes - I sold the truck last year, but it saw 2 summers and took a few pretty large sand jumps to bottom it out, but the only issue I ever had was hitting the mud flap bracket, which is what prompted me to come up with something and make this video!
@@modlife Thank you! I am looking at picking up an AT4X so this helps a lot as 33s are ok but I prefer more clearance.
Did you remove the plastic bracket in the front behind the wheel liner? I see tie wraps
No - I drilled a hole in the lower center, and put zip ties around it and the bumper bracket to pull it in towards the front.
Is it stock height or do you have a lift to run 35s?
4" BDS Lift
Is there any issue running 4 inch lift with stock upper arm control?
Yes. I broke a control arm - my angles were good, but they aren’t very tough.
@@modlife oh that sucks. Thank you for the info so I know to get the arm control
So is your lift 4in + the factory 2in to make a total of 6in? Or is it just a 4in lift? And how are the CV angles?
Yes 6 inch total, and with the diff drop the CV angles are the same as factory
@@modlife Great thank you! With the diff drop is your clearance the same? I’ve heard some people complain that the clearance isn’t as much? Are you able to still run in auto 4WD?
Westcott designs fender liner pull back kit check it out
Good find - that looks like it would definitely work. I figured sooner or later someone would make something, but it definitely didn't exist when I had the truck!
What exactly is the purpose of the bracket you removed?
It holds the mudflap in place - nothing more.
What about running 33’s? I see there’s a lil rub.
Stock size is 33” and looks small with the lift. 35x11.5 with the right offset eliminates a lot of issues. These NRG tires are a 12.5” wide.
@@modlife I realized that after. I was trying to fit 33 x12.5 and it rubs with a 20x10 wheel.
@@geoffbadger895 I did same size with 4 in lift. Did this and still have rubbing.
@@quietrhinoasmr2597 thanks for the response. I wanted to avoid rubbing all together.
I got a 6inch on a 2020 Sierra 1500 . I’m on 35x13.50x24 I rub , will this possibly work ? Or does it only work for 12.50s?
Worth trying - I don’t know your offset though.
@@modlife darn I bought them off another seller so I’m stuck now with out knowing my offset 🤦🏻♂️😂
@@truckwithme1623 tape measure or ruler works pretty well, too.
what kind of rims and what size are they?
22x10 -18, 4Play 4p70
Brother level what size and the wheels it’s 22x 8.5 or what’s size thancks
22x10 et -18
What rims are those?
4Play 4P70
Did u put the shocks on the worry side
Shocks are mounted correctly. If you’re referring to the reservoirs, I mounted them to the back so they can be easily adjusted - the only mount point ahead of the tires doesn’t offer enough clearance to get a hand in there and would also give very little room for tire clearance at full lock (risking the tire hitting if compressed and turned in).
Thank u can u show how u did the mounted more I’m get some soon for my
@@jamielafave5026 they come with brackets for rerouting the brake and sensor lines and pretty detailed instructions. BDS stuff is top notch. I installed mine myself in about a day and a half - with help it would’ve been a 6 hour job, but it is pretty technical and requires cutting & welding the frame for the diff drop. Sadly, I sold the truck at a really nice profit last month and have moved onto building a ‘22 Tesla and waiting for the Cybertruck.
First off, I really like your mod. I plan on using this mod when I get my 34s (295/70 R18). Second though, did BDS recommend mounting the reservoir in that position? I'm curious because the instructions from Fox say to mount it in the front position.
What size lift is on your truck
4” kit plus the 2” factory at4. It’s the same as a 6” kit on a standard 1500
You hit a big enough bump while turned, you gonna get some more damage..
I’ve since sold the truck, but believe me, there was tight but adequate clearance for those tires and wheels. I can’t speak for any other setup.
Workmanship looks rough chief.
Held up for years before I sold it 🤷♂️
But hey, you’d know best… love your content. Maybe you should make a video on how you do it with your truck?
If you got spacers this wont solve your problem
That depends on your wheel offset. These are a 0 offset 10” wide wheel, which would be the equivalent of putting 15mm spacers on your stock wheels.
