    Got a new Y. Thinking I am getting rattling from the seatbelts. Tesla has no clips or anything from preventing the belts from flopping around so wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has come up with a solution. So far, I like the technology of the vehicle but not impressed with their build quality and component quality. Things seem to be cheap!

      One of the issues I found was the rear head rests are very loose, and a fix for it is to remove the head rest, put some sticky foam tape down the tube where the headrests slot into, put the headrests back in and this should keep it from rattling about hopefully

    I think I have a rattle in my new 2024 model Y from this same area (not the seat though). When I looked at the trim that you removed here mines seems to be a single piece that goes all the way back to the lift gate. Wonder if they changed some things in the latest model Y? Haven't had the courage to figure out how to remove that yet as I'm nervous I'll break clips etc.

    Well he damaged your car he didn't destroy it. He should have just refused to tow it 1) because he didn't have the right equipment and 2) because you were recording him. I myself do not allow people to record me while I'm working. My opinion is if you don't trust me enough that you feel the need to record me than you should just call someone you trust. He was right about the tow hook however... well he was right that it wouldn't work. Because its to one side of the car it won't pull up straight if the cars not in tow mode. Even tho neither of you knew what you were doing they should still pay for the damage or maybe the dealership should get involved since they were the ones who recommended them.

    • @modlife
      @modlife 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My insurance collected from them. You’re absolutely right that he should have refused the tow, but not because of the cameras… because he didn’t know what he was doing and wouldn’t listen to me. I clearly stressed that you shouldn’t use the battery alignment holes to pull the car.

    Liked and subscribed! Excellent mod. I am doing mine today to eliminate some minor rubbing. I know this is an older video, but I noticed you put Fox shocks on your truck. Was that a worthwhile investment? I was thinking about putting them on mine, to improve the ride.

    • @modlife
      @modlife 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! The BDS kit with Fox reservoirs shocks was by far my favorite investment. The slightly longer travel and better dampening almost eliminate body roll, and even jumping the thing a few feet off the ground, they never blew out and never bottomed out. I will say that is primarily from the reservoirs and longer travel, but the adjustments were most useful in the rear to eliminate sagging when towing a heavy load. The front adjustments honestly didn’t give the range of feel I had expected, but still got enough use to say I’d do it again before anything else.

    • @modlife
      @modlife 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All of that said, even at the softest settings, they did make the truck slightly stiffer than the Ranchos on the street, so keep that in mind - it’s always a trade off.
