As a 43 year old, I remember most of these really well! Adverts were so much better in those days. There's no humour in todays adverts. Thanks for the upload!
Likewise, I'm forever dropping in quotable phrases of 80's adverts into conversation and nobody gets the references :-/ there's just no "Should've gone to SpecSavers" or "Does what it says on the tin" these days.
@@Modiford thats true adverts are different. i cannot put my finger on it but the choice of product they advertise has changed. the profiling and variety i think has changed.
Can you chaps help me with something? I'm 40 lived in Brighton until 86 at that time I remember TV ad of 2 men had a toy speed boat buzzing at a swimming pool. They were cheering like 'boys with toys' a 3rd man relaxing on a pool bed pressed button on a remote then a toy submarine torpedoed the boat and the two men were shocked and looked at each other.

Yes, you're absolutely correct. But it's not just humour but flake ads his got that sexiness without making women look like sluts. Sadly everything was once quality going downhill. Movies, TV show, music, even art.

The Kit-Kat advert could now be seen as a warning for the 'talent' shows we have now, the line says it all, “You can't Sing, you can't play, you look awful you'll go a long way”
The kids imitating 'Madness' 'Baggy Trousers' was just brilliant. I well remember that one.
Happier times, the saddest thing for me is most of the book shops in yellow pages adverts have gone . I used walk past every them Thursday on my way to original Forbidden Planet in London.
I am 59, and can recall alot of TV ads from the 1960's, as well. TV ads were actually good during the 1980's and decades before.

I am 49 and I remember coming home on my bmx from school , having fish fingers beans and chips and watching adverts then rentaghost 😆🙏🏻👻

Kelloggs advert- Gordon Kaye from Allo Allo, Rene, is serving cornflakes! Funny he was a cafe owner in Allo Allo.
I remember all these adverts from when I was a kid and I hated the bald man in the Hamlet ad he made me feel sick!
They are all quite amusing and memorable, even though they don't have all the gizmos and technology we have, these adverts seem more warm and catchy especially the jingles.
I love the Ovaltina one especially it's lovely and the song is slightly sad.

Still got some scotch vhs tapes, you can really rewind not fade away his voice is familiar anyone know who it is.

Those Heineken adverts were brilliant lol . All the beer adverts and cigar adverts were always good . Now adverts are boring and politically correct and nobody takes any notice, I know I don't.
