It's an Excellent scope. I use it on a AR .458 Socom. HOWEVER, It does not have real Mil-Dots. I did all the math and you can throw away that common core BS card that comes with it. Their not real mils. Someone at UTG seems to think mils have something to do with metrics. THEY DO NOT ! Mils are true angular science though, as real mils math will spit out an answer in whatever unit you put in it as range or size. Inches, Centimeters, Meters and Yards ect.. ect...Example: Using REAL MIls, If you put in a goat that is 2 fingers high and do the math it will tell you the range in how many fingers that goat is away from you. Okay, rant over. This UTG scope's reticle @ 9x amounts to one "UTG Mil-Dot" represents 4 inches @ 100 yds, 8 " @ 200, 12" @ 300, 16" @ 400, ect... 1/2 Mil is 2" @100 yds, 1/4 Mil is 1 inch @100yds and so on. Now go have fun without that confusing F-ing card. Edit: At 4.5 power use 2x value. Example : 1 "Mil" @ 4.5 power = 8 inches at 100 yds.
Being I own this. Ty for the added info. But I think everyone knows that 110 doesn't get you true mildot however a very nice scope with many entry features
Thanks for the video. I'm considering this scope for my 10/22 as well. I found the Owner's Manual online and it says that the BDC markings on the reticles are calibrated for .223/5.56 caliber, so if I mount this on my 10/22 does that mean that I won't be able to use the BDC markings on the reticle due to the vastly different trajectory between these two calibers?
Hello Axiom You will be able to use this perfectly well on your 10/22, just use the reticle as you would in any other scope with hold over, memorize or jot down the trajectory and how it falls with the markings on the reticle. Kind Regards Opw
Hello Jose Mendez, these are stock blanks, they are to mount sights on for easy and safe use when looking through scopes in the showroom. Kind Regards OPW
Great review Shaun, this scope will be perfect for my Ultra Se
Looking good guys!
