Brother, you saved me a ton of frustration. Same rifle, got the same scope today, installing tomorrow. Getting to level has always been a headache. I owe you lunch.
You're most welcome. I'm glad and very happy to know that I could help you. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and the very kind words. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.👍😀
@@richardlloydusa I should say nightmarish headache being the picky sort. Right is right, anything else is wrong, and getting level crosshairs can be difficult. I modified your method in one area. My rifle stock is not dimensional the same in the area where you placed your level. One side is slightly higher than the other. I bypassed leveling the stock and used the pic rail instead. I also dismantled a level and removed the vial. The level stabilized perfectly in the rail and even fit under the optic. Second level went on the elevation turret, rotated to match bubbles and done. The big benefit of this method is that I’m going to use it verify level on all my optics. This was/is a very fine example of a well done and very helpful video. Thank you for your contribution.
It's been really reliable for me with out any issues. Look at the reviews here at Amazon: amzn.to/15UlQuN it rates quite highly. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.
You're most welcome. Comments like this make my DAY! 😁️ I'm glad to know I could help you and that you got value from my work here. I made this video to help people just like you. Thank you for watching, commenting and the very kind words. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.👍😀
I run one on a 300 b/o folding ar pistol, and its perfect. I also put a crimson trace micro green dot on top, which really is nice for up close. The new ones have a short rail now on top.
I just slapped that scope and rings on my 10/22 takedown with no vise no torque wrench no gun stand just cut out notches on cardboard box and put rifle on it basically just eyed it. Once on I shot it adjusted it to 25 yards I can hit bullseye out to 100 yards easy.
That's awesome. It's a great value for a scope. Thank you for watching, commenting and the valuable feedback. I appreciate it greatly. All the best. 👍😀
Just curious... Did you use a Foot Pounds torque wrench for Inch Pounds? There is a difference and it looks like the same wrench I got from HarborFreight and it is a Foot Pound torque wrench.
***** I used a inch pound torque wrench set to 15 inch pounds. Do not use the foot pound wrench it will most certainly not torque it correctly. Thanks.
Great video. Im getting ready to purchase and mount on my new 10//22 rifle. will this scope fit mount on the rifle in the bag that was supplied? If not will that be a problem taking the scope on and off the rail to fit back in the bag? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the reply. Received the scope from Amazon today. Going to mount in the morning then to the back of my property then to the range to dial in. Again thanks for your time and great video.
It's still working very well. I had to change the battery, but the battery is not needed to use the scope. It's still very highly rated/reviewed on Amazon(paid): amzn.to/3XLOJWd Thank you so much for commenting and watching. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.👍😀
No problem thanks for taking the time to do the video. Looks like I’m going to save a few bucks and get this scope. Instead of the primary arms 1-6 22lr scope
I'm always leery of quick detach scope mounts. Afraid it won't re-center after taking it off. Maybe I'll have to try it out for myself when I get the scope. Thanks for the videos! Glad I found someone putting the scope I wanted on the rifle I have!
thank you, I will be ordering this for my TD as well. looks like a great scope from the reviews lately. I was wondering how the fit was inside the TD bag for transport.
I will say that it fits but only the first cut out on the rail with the back ring on the fourth cut on the rail. This made it hard for me to get proper eye relief. You should really invest in a Tactical Low Profile Rail for $8 here at Amazon: amzn.to/1jbAu6P Here is a video I made on various options I tried th-cam.com/video/AvPB7PQHlrE/w-d-xo.html but in the end I went with the low profile rail as it gave me the most flexibility for I relief. Thanks.
You're most welcome. I'm glad and very happy to know that I could help you. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and the very kind words. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.👍😀
Next time just level your rifle and set a Plumb Line that you can sight on to line up the cross hairs of the scope. Leapers/UTG scopes are great scopes for the money, but they are not Great Scopes. Try a Optisan MTC scope. A much better scope for the money and a bit better scope than a Hawke for a bit less money than a Hawke, in my opinion. I use Hawke and Optisan MTC Viper scopes on my air rifles and Leupold scopes on my Centerfire rifles. Shoot Strait and be safe. : )
Thanks for the feedback. I think they are a great value scope and a good perfomers. Good bang for the buck. Premium scopes are of course are better but they also cost a premium too. Like they say in racing speed is money, how fast can you afford to go? LOL Thanks for watching.
OMG Richard,.that torgue wrench tightening is scaring me. I'll bet you are over torquing those scope rings. You should invest in and use, the Wheeler FAT wrench.
+Reg Sparkes I trust torque wrench but if you feel more confident using the wheeler FAT wrench go for it. I have taken the rings off for further adjustment since and the screws and threads are 100% so I am not worried about it. Here is a link to the Wheeler FAT Wrench at Amazon amzn.to/1Ysi7Mq
+Richard Lloyd Yes, but,...the FAT wrench IS a torque wrench. I have noticed that a few mount/ring manufacturers suggest that the ring bolts be torqued to 15 INCH pounds,... and the rail mounting bolts should be set at around 35 inch pounds. Obviously mount manufacturers may difffer. If the threads on your are at 100%, then you got away lucky. I may not know a lot about scope mount installation but I sure do know why and how a torque wrench is used.By the way, thanks for the link to Amazon, that is where mine came from. Cheers
Wish we were all so fortunate. I actually figured out a much more simple method for holding the rifle using the exact same vises. But the whole point was to show the how to do it and somewhat how not to do it too. Thanks for watching and commenting. BTW Love the scope and rifle.

I'm the picky type as well. LOL Thanks.
Good day. My friend, does this telescope lose its fast setting? Can I use the magnification degree or will it miss the point of impact?
It's been really reliable for me with out any issues. Look at the reviews here at Amazon: amzn.to/15UlQuN it rates quite highly. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it greatly. All the best.
Great instructor! Your guidance really helped me understand how detailed it was.

Lol. Probably camera :)

Yes. It's a tight fit but it does fit.
Thanks for the reply. Received the scope from Amazon today. Going to mount in the morning then to the back of my property then to the range to dial in. Again thanks for your time and great video.
***** My pleasure. Give us a review after you get it set up. Thanks.
I have the same setup I was considering this scope myself. How has it been preforming since this video was shot.
It's still working very well. I had to change the battery, but the battery is not needed to use the scope. It's still very highly rated/reviewed on Amazon(paid): amzn.to/3XLOJWd

Does the take down still fit in the bag nicely with this scope attached?
It's a tight fit but yes it does fit. BTW it comes with quick detach leaver connects.

Richard, Did you use the rings that came with the scope on this 10/22
Yes I did. They were a perfect fit.
thank you, I will be ordering this for my TD as well. looks like a great scope from the reviews lately. I was wondering how the fit was inside the TD bag for transport.

Check the link in the description to get it at Amazon and the other videos I made on this gun. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Does the scope work well with your Ruger OEM rail?
I will say that it fits but only the first cut out on the rail with the back ring on the fourth cut on the rail. This made it hard for me to get proper eye relief. what kind of QD mount is that?
The QD rings actually come with the scope when you purchase it at Amazon: amzn.to/15UlQuN it's a great value. Thanks.
Thanks

+Reg Sparkes Thanks again. Cheers.
as long as his torque wrench is inch pound graduation what's the issue here
Wow
Prime examples of what not to do to your rifle. The riser mount you toy around with at 3:30 is cringeworthy
Good job good video
totljag1 Thank you so much for the kind words and watching.
Great video! I've got a scope that is off by just a hair and it has been driving me crazy!
+Jay McMullan Thank you very much.
This is painfully to watch. I'm going to have todo this in about week , thank god I have a vise
Wish we were all so fortunate. I actually figured out a much more simple method for holding the rifle using the exact same vises. But the whole point was to show the how to do it and somewhat how not to do it too. Thanks for watching and commenting. BTW Love the scope and rifle.
