Good video. However, you completely failed to address that the game's FPS as shown on your monitor is limited to what the Elgato can actually pass through from the PC to the monitor. For most Elgato models, it's 60 fps, regardless of resolution (e.g. 1080p, 1440p,4K). This is bad if you have a powerful GPU/CPU setup and can get over 200 FPS in games, but can only see 60 FPS on your monitor because of what the Elgato can actually pass through from PC to monitor.
Hi man! You don't need to unplug the power cable, I recommend turning off the computer before you do this though. Just remove the HDMI or DVI cable plugged in to your monitor and replace it with the HDMI cable from the elgato :)
i add my hdmi to my monitor, replacing the dvi, but it still says "elgato" as the monitor name. instead of "BenQ XL2430T". why does it do this, you know? would it be that im using my own hdmi cables and not the ones supplied by elgato?
Hi man! It's not because of the HDMI cables. The elgato is kinda a monitor itself since it is an external recording device. If you just connect the elgato only to your monitor you should be good :)
i did everything in this right but when i pwoered on mt pc it switched my native res to 1280x 720 from 1920x1080 and when i switch it back from the nvidia control panel it still looks weird like i dont know what to do plz help

No problem! The elgato has it's own sound card. You must check your playback settings and pick the right speakers. The same thing in the elgato. In the elgato settings you'll have to pick the elgato sound card. I don't know if this helps. Let me know if you need further help!

Hi! DVI and HDMI is not the same. You can use both for your monitor, but the thing is, if you fx have one monitor and you connect both the DVI and HDMI cable, it thinks that there are two monitors. Then you have to play around with the settings. It's just easier to remove the DVI and just use the HDMI cable. I hope i could help! :)
If it shows nothing,unplug everything wait at least 5 minutes and plug it back,if sound capture doesn't show the HD60S or standard in order to capture pc sound,go to your audio settings,look for stereo mix and see if it's enable,if it isn't just enable,if that still doesn't show HD60S output go back to audio settings,recording tab and look again for stereo mix and go to properties,then Listen tab and click listen to this device,that should be fix the non HD60S or standard output show in order to record audio from pc.Another thing is whenyou have 100% of cpu,that problem you can only solve with the preview window,just disable that shit,even on hd60s has that problem,i have 8600k and 1060 6gb and it does that shit,think before you buy a hd60s.

Hey dude I'm getting a 3 second audio and video delay with the HD60. I'm using OBS to record it and So far no one has been able to help me on this and I'm trying to record PC Games with it mainly Dungeon siege because OBS doesn't use game capture for it. I did some clicking and firing tests and noticed the audio is in sync with my microphone, but the video isn't by 3 seconds. I need help. Any ideas? Or do I need to buy an HD60 S?
What I just don't really understand is that you're saying that you're using OBS to record with and the HD60 to record the audio with? It seems weird that the audio isn't in sync, I believe you can change it in the settings, but i'm not sure. Otherwise, you can just sync it in post with the video. That's what I usually do when I record myself with a camera, but I use a seperated mic. Hope that helps :)
I'm not sure what you mean by this. I use OBS to record yes, but I also you the HD60 to capture and record video and audio as well. I tried using the built in software with Elgato and there seems to be no delay when I play PC games whatsoever. So that is pretty odd. Don't worry dude. My birthday is coming up and I will probably upgrade my HD60 to the S Type Model and that way I can use it with OBS.
