The Tudor North Flag and the Omega Dynamic Chronograph are among my favourite watches, and will probably stay in my small collection forever.
Overlooked hits are; Laurent Ferrier micro rotor square, Breguet Classique enamel dials, Arnold and Son (all), Rolex Cellini moonphase rose gold (meteorite moon, enamel backdrop)., Patek 5235 Regulator, Patek 5524 Pilots watch, Lange Cabaret. Those are my “Hot Takes”

The Omega Dynamic was the star of the show for me - utterly beautiful in its own way.
From the top down, without a doubt.... But, seriously thick and with the module chronograph movement (pushers and winding crown do not line up) and slab sides, it looks a bit off from that angle...

Love the GS and the Tudor North Flag. The RB is nice but I am a huge fan of the older Sympathie and Hommage pieces.
The Elegante is the only quartz watch with a worthwhile display case back that I know of.

I think one reason brands discontinue nice, functional, innovative designs, is the damn snobs and speculators who distort the actual demand.
The SBGC223 has been a grail of mine ever since it was released. I'm glad that Watchfinder finds it as appealing as I do.
The Elegante is anything but loved, I wanted to buy one. I waited a year. Only to be told it wasn't available to purchase. It's now nearly $60+ on the grey market due to the F.P. Journe hype. I remember it was around $14,500 when I first inquired to purchase it.
You mean ‘anything but unloved’ I’m sure. I wanted to leave the same comment. Elegante prices speak very clearly about the desirability of this watch

I have a blue and white version of that GS chrono (SBGC229), it is indeed a handsome piece. I probably won't ever flip that one.
The Roger Debuis. *THIS* Roger Debuis (don't care for any other from the brand). Beautiful.
People still think I'm mad for buying that GS. 😂 I kinda understand why, but at the same time I love it and I wear it all the time. It's just something about it that makes it brilliant. The feel, the sweep (double at that), the feel of the pushers, the precision, the legibility (white dial), the attention to details, it all just makes it perfect. It's the specs that scare people I think. And understandably so.
Almost bought the North Flag twice 😬 wish I pulled the trigger now🤔 it was the yellow bits that was the deal breaker for many. If the yellow bits were silver or grey it would have been a success. Tudor is the black bay 58 company now so they should bring the North Flag back with a few updates to widen their appeal.
Agreed. I really hope they bring it back with a few tweaks because I missed the chance to buy it. I was still broke when they discontinued it.

The Dubuis deserves some spotlight alright. The 9 is positioned in the same orientation as the 6. Never noticed this on other watches. But my brain caught it as unusual.

Roger Dubuis watchmakers are the highly skilled. They put all the components in a bucket and kick it around the workshop until a fully form timepiece is assembled. Genius.

Ah, the Omega Dynamic chrono…….one of my favourite watches ever. I very, very nearly bought one, but a Tudor BB36 won out. Maybe one day I’ll pull the trigger!
Love the Tudor North Flag. A great tool watch. Should have purchased before it was discontinued. Regretting it a lot.
The Grand Seiko Spring Drive Chronograph is a wee bit too big for my wrist. Tried it on. Everything else is great. Because the chronograph seconds hand does not beat and does a smooth sweep, you can get a precise timing (barring human response time to actuate the start/stop pushers) based on where the sweeping chronograph seconds hand stops.

The elegant is my favourite one of all. Owning one makes me biased but the quality and the concept is simply genius. The GS gets also the same credit with its mix automatic-quartz movement, but I prefer for sure the aesthetic of the Journe.

I love my North Flag, I remember seeing it in Octane magazine before it was launched and bought mine on the first week of it's release. I loved the clean lines - as though it was CNC'ed from a solid ingot of stainless steel and also the fact that it was Tudor's first movement, making the brand a manufacturer. While I am disappointed that the watch was discontinued I'm hoping that it might have a positive impact on second hand values! Well, it didn't do the Daytona Panda any harm when it wasn't appreciated on first release and Joanne Woodward bought her husband one for her husband.

May I add 1 thing about the Elgante that I REALLY like (you hinted at it): if you put it down it stops, and then, when you pick it up, it resets to the current time, that IS something every Quarz watch should do. Because I like the hands spinning :)
My $150 g shock does this.

The Roger Dubuis. Technically brilliant. Aesthetically beautiful. Def this is the best of the pack. The others are for the loyal supporters of the brands. Great videography and thoughtful commentary can’t save an ugly dial with a power reserve and bright yellow highlights.

The Grand Seiko Sports Chronos are the definition of acquired taste. When I first saw and tried it on I hated it, but every time I try it again I like it a little more. Now I'm at the point where, if they made an SS version of the latest case design with a better bracelet and made even prettier movement, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I'd take the Roger Dubuis. It's sublime.
Update: They made a new one in titanium that fixed everything I had a problem with. Guess I'm getting a GS Sports Chrono lol.
Please don't hype the North Flag! Still saving up for that one and don't want it to get the BB58 treatment lol.

It’s a shame Tudor discontinued the only nice and not-Rolexey watch they’ve ever produced
