  • I love using a wide angle lens for landscape photography, and in this video I look at why they work so well, and some of the characteristics of these kinds of lenses that we need to be aware of.

I have become an ardent Andy Mumford fanboy. Whatever he talks about goes straight into my brain. Nor artifice, no mumbo-jumbo. Just wisdom and experience.

I am the same. My mantra for my 10-24 is "If it's good enough for Andy Mumford, it's good enough for me". He's been very inspiring for me.

I rarely ever watch long videos on TH-cam but your thorough and informative explanation is the reason why I watch up to the very end. They always leave me with new information that I wouldn't otherwise get from other creators. For that, your channel really stands out. Keep 'em coming.

I am an experienced photographer and I learned a lot from this video and smiled a few times on some of the teaching points which I had to learn myself through hard experience (there was no internet when I started...) -Most youtubers are young, inexperienced and not particularly good photographers. This video is packed with knowledge and some seriously good imagery, I could certainly learn a thing or two from Mr. Mumford. A big thumbs up on this one.

That was a tour de force. Something to watch over and over. Getting ready to upgrade from the X-E3 / 18-55mm I have taken backpacking since 2018 to an XT5 and likely the 10-24mm wide angle. I've had to take a fair number of overlapping vertical shots to stitch together to capture a scene.

This was a perfectly timed video Andy. I've just bought the Fuji 10-24mm (partly motivated by your equally informative review of this lens) and have really benefited from your advice in this video. As ever, your use of annotation to illustrate the points in your own images is hugely helpful. A true masterclass packed in to less than 30 mins. Thank you.

A very informative video, with clear and descriptive explanations, supported with fine photographic examples. Feeling inspired to dust off my 14mm wide angle lens, which has only been used a couple of times in the last year. Thank you Andy.

Blimey that was a very powerful case for the vertical format with a wide angle lens. I've not seen such powerful examples and clear description to make the point. Lots of ideas to play with, thank you.

Wow! Absolutely brilliant! None of these points were new to me, however.... it could be how deep did you went with the details, it could be how did you managed to interrelate each point with the next one, it could be your obvious passion... I don't even know! But it's always a real pleasure to watch/hear you. Thanks a lot for sharing such a master class.
