Nothing like a good hate song. There are more than enough love songs. This band is awesome.
Before band-maid, I listened to 90% metal and 10% hard rock.
Since last year I listen to 90% band-maid.
They sound better live than on the record. Not just ONE performance of the same song either. All of them. They're different on each appearance, including the small American and European clubs. It's like watching a jazz band that you know will be different every time you see them.

3 years for me. Never gets old, never get tired of them. So many great songs in their catalog. Seen them twice, can't wait for the next time. Thank you Band-Maid, you saved music for me.

I am a 55 year old headbanger from the old school days of Heavy Metal. These ladies rock their ass off and I am so glad that I found them 5 years back. They never disappoint!

I just went back and listened to the part during the bass solo. It's surprisingly complex and I think it really adds a meatiness to the song that I couldn't pinpoint before.

The day is starting out beautifully.
What I like is that their "metal" is so clean and perfect. I listen to everything they put out over and over. They have become the only band I listen to. I know, that is bad but I can't help it.
If it feels that good, how can it be bad? Besides, at this point you would be hard pressed to listen everything once in a row and get through it in a day. I've tried, and always have to put a song 'on loop' for a bit (Bestie's the latest example) before moving on to the next one.
I have had the same "problem" for several years now, everything else seems inadequate in some way, just lacking that Band-Maid feel/soul/depth/whatever. The near absence of repetition within the same song let alone between songs makes them almost infinitely listenable. In short, they are the best rock band ever, integrity, care for fan base, quality of composition (ignore Bestie) massive individual talent topped off with a the total is greater than the sum of the parts effect. I am obsessed!

During the bass/guitar battle I concentrated on listening to Akane's drumming and man, she is right on top of it and in perfect synch throughout the performance. That's really incredible given how fast and difficult this sequence is and the natural tendency to speed the rhythm up they progress through the not just double solo, but the intertwined performance of bass, guitars, and drums. I already love Akane's playing and this just goes above and beyond!.

自分の場合、以前からBAND-MAIDの魅力に気付いているので、客観的な評価ができる立場にないが、これまでBAND-MAIDを知っていたか否かにかかわらず、激しめのロックが好きな人で、このMVを見て、心を動かされない人っているんでしょうか？
私も客観的なことは言えませんが、ただ、釣り人の心理としては「この餌は釣れそうだ」です😁

BAND−MAIDを好きになってから、HR/HMの楽曲をたくさん聞くようになりHR/HMの歴史的なことも学びましたが、日本人の評論家や一部のファンのコメントの中には原理主義的で遠い昔に価値づけられたものにしか価値を見出せない、HR/HMの雑誌に書いてあること以外は全く受け付けない、狭いコミュニティがあることに大変嫌悪感を感じました。

I graduated from Waseda daigaku and played warm up for Bakafu surampu back in the 80's! Japanese music scene was great then and even better now!!!!
Been to a lot of concerts in my day. The Yokohama serving was THE BEST concert I have ever seen...and it's not even close! Thank you, Band-Maid and all of the crew. You ALL are SPECTACULAR! 🕊

This band has been excellent forever, and yet they manage to get better and better with each tour. These Yokohama Arena performances show the Maids at the top of their game. I'll hasten to add, the top of their game so far...
In the beginning there was a small pigeon 🐦 who met a guitarist 🎸 who played with a drummer 🥁 who went to school with the bassist 🎸 and then tricked the singer 🎤 to join the band then the small pigeon 🐦 asks the guitarist 🎸 please teach me how to play the guitar 🎸. The Story Continues.
Someday we´ll see the movie about this story and we will cry and laugh at the same time.

MISA and Mincho in an epic duel. Akane in full beast mode. Miku wailing away in support. Saikis vocal lightning making the message very clear. This just became my favorite BAND-MAID live vid.
Those lyrics are dark, seething, cutting deep and just so wonderfully written. The music theyre put to is so right too.

I have seen Hate? live twice, and I totally love it. Hate? is a hard hitting powerful message with the music to go with it. The YA version is the best version so far, damn it hits hard.

the power of the maids can not be underestimated, or defined. I am 2 years sober and 3 years a Band-maid fan I don't think it is a coincidence.
Band Maid is a juggernaut in the world of Rock n' Roll.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's with the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who and the Rolling Stones. These girls match these iconic bands with their writing, showmanship and overall talent. They are a perfect example of everything being done right. God bless these ladies for saving Rock n' Roll as we know it.

So they need to be more accessible outside Japan.@@justrandomstuff84 In TH-cam you can barely hear about Maximum The Hormone, Babymetal, Wagaki Band, Trident, Gagaric Spin, Nemophila, Trident, Ningen Isu, Lovebites and Asterism. All excelent bands but in my heart I prefer Band-Maid, because I do not think they are gereric J-Rock Band. There are genuine sofistication in songwriting, evolution of the band and band members. And for me every record is better thand previous one since Brand New Maid days.
The bass-vs-guitar "dual" is great. What most caught my ear was changes in Saiki's delivery. It feels more sensitive and human, and for me creates a new depth of connection. Saiki did an amazing job of "telling this story" during this performance.
And as always, I love seeing the teamwork in the band, they way they support each other, highlight each other, surprise and react to each other. It looks like they all have great respect for each other.
