This video is the entry drug. After I first saw this I knew I had to see this band live…2 trips to Japan later to see them and I regret nothing. One of the greatest live rock shows you’ll ever see..

Bullshit, if they do it's because they're that good, look at Kanami's compositions: she's a riff machine, changes verses, does tempo changes, soulful solos, tasty breakdowns, mixes genres... And I'm only talking about one member. There's a lot of cute asian girls doing metal and rock, I can name you 10 bands without even thinking, but these women are a level above. Nobody cares about their appereance, clothes included, after hearing their beautiful work

海外のライブ動画を見ても個々の演奏技術が高く、SAIKIのボーカル頼みのバンドではないのが一目瞭然。どんなに激しいドラミングでも最高の笑顔のAKANE。クールな表情とは裏腹にベースのネックを振り回してノリノリなMISA。小鳩のギターがあるからこそ天を仰いで上り詰めるKANAMIのギター。そしてやっぱり存在感抜群のムードメーカー、BAND-MAIDのフロントマンは小鳩ミク。そこにクールだけど情熱的なSAIKIのボーカルが加われば、そりゃ世界征服だわ。

I've heard it 1000 times own it on my IPOD, have the CD, have the video, but every time pops on my paper on TH-cam. I have take time to listen again. This is type of music people will stop to listen to 50 years from now when ladies are as old as Mick Jagger and Paul McCarthy.

This is one of the best instrumentals I have ever heard. That is not to say that the ones that BAND-MAID made after this were not good, when this song came out and when I "found" it there was nothing like it that I had heard before. It is the perfect non-lyrical way to introduce a band to someone who hesitates to jump in the waters of Japanese rock and metal. They fire on all cylinders and each member gets a chance to shine. Absolutely LOVE this song.
This Band is the perfect superweapon against feeling down or sad.

Check it out @ 0:44, Akane has a whole box of extra drum sticks handy. I know drummers will always have back-up sticks handy, but she definitely proves (I'm referencing the gold rush interview) that the Gorilla is the most organized of the group.

Just discovered these ladies a little while ago and and have been going through their catalog. These ladies are serious instrumentalist not to mention good heavy metal writers with excellent lyrics. But their instrumentals are way, way over the top. I'm a fan, hardcore!!
