    • @bobcatransom

      This will 100% happen if you don’t provide ventilation. We framed new picture windows into an old steel frame shop window and had mold growth within a few months. Easy enough to fix but certainly extra time and money. Good luck!

    Majority of windows can fairly easily have the glass swapped out and you can do a frosted glass It's also not that complicated to frost glass. I think either would be a better option as you would maintain the use of the window but personally I don't like Windows and showers cuz I've never seen one without issues.

      Mom made sure to open her bath window daily, if
      only an inch in bad weather. She also kept a plant hanging at the side, one that loved sun and moisture. She lived in that home 45 years, without that window rotting. Of course, she kept up with the painting and a new roof.

  • @SquidPhilly
    @SquidPhilly ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So I would have either contacted the window company that made that unit and see if the sashes or just the glass could be replaced with privacy glass and if not then get a new window from the same company. caulking never 100% seals forever. That being said it doesn't look bad it just makes that window unusable now and could be a potential moisture trap.

  • @Googaliemoogalie
    @Googaliemoogalie 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think code is that the window has to be able to open. Also, the window behind will make moisture behind that is sealed now and has no air movement. Most likely will have a mold issue

    • @RLLWoodworks
      @RLLWoodworks  6 หลายเดือนก่อน
