I bought an Xbox Slim off of ebay, the DVD drive was missing from package got a partial refund. I went and RGH'D the xbox and recovered the DVD Key now how would I go about flashing it to the new drive I ordered?
at 5:06 you skip narration for a few seconds while doing some stuff, can you explain? Do you secretly power cycle the drive or do you just click yes and ignore the need to power cycle? :P
sir the video is very helpful... im facing a dilemma on flashing 16d5s... thr r too many different tutorials... can u guide me as to where to i start from
Same steps but instead of drilling, take a cotton swap dipped in isopropyl alcohol and press it into the drilled hole. You can skip the backing up of the firmware assuming you already have it.
@@KiddoFlows what does the alcohol do ? does it allow current to pass through the broken traces? I've tried the alcohol, that didn't work, but if i put the 1mm drill bit back into the hole and gave it a wiggle, it re-unlocked, have i not drilled deep enough?
You would need to rgh the console, as well as buy the LTU replacement PCB board. You can find a tutorial on how to flash 16D5S - 1175 drives in my video. I have only uploaded part 1 but part 2 is coming soon.
Cool video. Thanks for sharing. Must see if I can get the template on AliExpress or eBay.
