@@can_can9119 Disagree it's really rare for a turn base RPG to have this amount of RNG, and Turn-Base RPG that have RNG at least are consistant, not CoS 1 isn't that heavy on the RNG and when you get a bad RNG you generally can come back in the fight..... except for this very last fight, where regardless of what strategy you use it's either you get the good RNG and win or get bad one and die, there's nothing to do here other than just roll the dice until you win. Other reason this fight completly sucks is the gameplay, sure you spend 40-50 hours into the game and now for the last 2 fight you force the player into a completly different gameplay with no warning at all (the mecha themselves are not introduce until the very last hour of the game), with limited healing, no customization whatsoever and against an opponent that randomely kill you if it feel like it. @@videoseeker117 Your level determines how difficult this fight is. If you're below 60 then it is a nightmare. If your level is in the 60s then it's slightly luck-based.

Is this really how it ends in the first game? I only just started playing the series and I just beat the first game. Seems kind of misleading. I even feel like it's the path of the Bad Ending. someone explain?
Give Sky FC a playthrough and then come back to me. Trails in the sky FC's ending was. . . the first half an hour of playing Sky SC (the next game) was emotionally tough the first time I did it.
the difficulty really comes from what level you fight him at. At level 70+, piece of cake, at level 80 you can win the fight without using spirit. At level 65, the fight is eh. At level 62... he's is going to take a few tries that's for dang sure.
@@jtrsspeedy96 I'll justnote that I'm defining high level as 75+ btw. And who's doing low damage isn't actually clear. If it's Rean than that's pretty brutal. If that's Crow than I'd say you're just bad, but considering that you're saying the fight's hard, I'll guess that it's Rean that's low-leveled. There is no other explanation. Your level determines everything about how difficult this fight is.
@@canasnewell3089 when I entered the last fight rean was about level 50 I believe. And oh boy did I have a hard time fighting him. Mind you that I played it on nightmare because I felt like being a badass.
@@jtrsspeedy96 Wow dude, you are basically doing a low level run (no fighting apart from required fights) where Rean is about lvl 35. So yeah you're going to have trouble. You're supposed to have AT LEAST 10 extra levels for fighting the old schoolhouse 7F boss. No wonder that was hard.
the fight doesnt need luck ure just an idiot. I figure out the stance without reading thru "walkthroughs" It's all in the stance moron. As slow as i am it took crow to make a defensive stance like 5~6 times before i realized attacking him when he make that stance does nothing except getting countered. If u cant figure out at all despite even reading thru walkthroughs ure simply a first class certified idiot and im afraid u will need help in everything that u do.
It takes 3 years to beat this fight on low level. This is how badly designed it is. So the game is actually forcing you into a grindfest that takes another 3 years from lvl 60 onwards to make it doable.
I finished the game at like level 64/65 and I didn't do any grinding at all. I just killed every single monster I've encountered (and maybe some more due to some backtracking) but this game definitely doesn't force you to grind in order to be able to win this fight.
If you make use of battle tactics even amateurs playing normal mode can get to 70 no grindfest even bothered but if you skip through all the game of course your gonna grind cause you missed what you needed to do in the first place this game is paced for both story and levels as every place goes up by 3 or so levels it's just a matter how you do things even a boss 10 levels up makes no difference cause in ending they scale it so it isn't as op as it would be
I just finished this game and only lost ONCE because I just couldn't read Crow's movements. The game isn't hard but you do need to play attention to what crafts you use.
Wow toke me my time to play this game and wow what a bad final boss ...you literaly die every stance failed. Like whe have psyquic powers to know at first time battle... Your equipement and lv dont play a rolle...what gives ... Not a good figth.
Your level does play a role, a major role actually. It increases Valimar's stats significantly. At level 80, it is possible to finish the fight w/o spirit.

after c got introduced i guessed, c? hmm crow? no way, they are way too obvious this time lol. but after crow separated himself in mine, it made me 100% sure he is crow. im still in denial until the reveal tho that i refused he is c 😢
i didnt expect misty as anguish 2 tho. that was shocked me the most
Final battle with gandum
What level is Rean?
Idk about leveling at this part but i think you dont need to worry about this battle... This battle only epilogue i believe...
@@videoseeker117 Your level determines how difficult this fight is. If you're below 60 then it is a nightmare. If your level is in the 60s then it's slightly luck-based.
@@masterchiefpettyofficerspa3646 i see...
I actually did this fight in nightmare at the level 87+ had to do each and every quest and kept farming for exp reaching the level cap then doing this fight
In reverie rufus is good.
Is this really how it ends in the first game? I only just started playing the series and I just beat the first game. Seems kind of misleading. I even feel like it's the path of the Bad Ending. someone explain?
This is the ending of this game and the story picks up almost immediately after this in the next game.
Give Sky FC a playthrough and then come back to me. Trails in the sky FC's ending was. . . the first half an hour of playing Sky SC (the next game) was emotionally tough the first time I did it.
Indeed it ended on this huge cliffhanger
Love crow!
The only differences, I have Alisa beside me 😋
I fought him on nightmare and it was easy
getrekt forthewin i know, I was playing another game on my smartphone in the meanwhile
the difficulty really comes from what level you fight him at. At level 70+, piece of cake, at level 80 you can win the fight without using spirit. At level 65, the fight is eh. At level 62... he's is going to take a few tries that's for dang sure.
@@canasnewell3089 that explains because I was 62-3 ish and took me 3 tries and my entire year of RNG to beat him, barely alive.
This is not nightmare. If he did nightmare his attacks would of been 300 per hit. His follow ups would be 3000
As I said, your level changes your entire experience of the fight.
@@canasnewell3089 I was at a high level. This fight was such bullshit. I got so lucky at one point that I nearly cried
No wonder that was hard.
wow lucky he didn't counters too much...not like me he always counter my attacks..
That's because you attack the wrong body part. It's based on which stance he's currently in.
Racast nope i followed walkthrough...but no luck...this fight need luck
the fight doesnt need luck ure just an idiot.
Calm down guys!!! No need 4 insults in here!! This is a GAME after all
Btd Arpha for some reason he unbalances me while evading my attack then counters
The game isn't hard but you do need to play attention to what crafts you use.
crows voice really ruined it for me.. thank god i played it with japanese voice on
love crows jp voice it really brings out his character
Rivaldi Irvan he voice isn’t even bad your just sucking up on the jp voice
Towa's jp voice is kawaii af.
@@Darknight1024 sorry but i know it when shit is good or not. Bitch was just reading it from the script, no emotion at all lmao.
Charger Tomlee isn't bad as Crow. It's just that he's being compared to Takahiro Sakurai. Cloud Strife's voice actor. He's in a different league.
At level 80, it is possible to finish the fight w/o spirit.
i hate games that you have to grind so bad....
@@phucan3080 I didn't do a single bit of grinding and finished the game at level 64/65 on hard. Took me like 5 tries to beat this fight but it definitely wasn't that hard. I dont get why people say it makes you grind, literally just explore everywhere and kill every monster and you'll be a good enough level for end game.
@@can_can9119 what difficulty did you play on first time? i played on nightmare on my first playthrough so yeah.....
@@phucan3080 well there's your problem lol the game explicitly says when you choose nightmare that it's meant to be played as a ng+ playthrough, with all your experience and stuff intact. It was never meant to be played from level 1 and that much is obvious. I played my first playthrough on hard then again on nightmare and had no problems with grinding. You took the grinding upon yourself on that one man.
why all modern jrpg ending is terrible like this one?
Muramasa better
