Jamie, I feel you.. My dad is also a Chinese, my mom is from Indonesia. My dad has passed away when I was 3rd grade at elementary school. What I remember from him is the way he smile, his sense of humor and he never get angry with my mom and also my brother. I watched this video in tears, I remember my baba and I really missing him so much.. Jamie.. keep making your baba proud.. You did a GREAT job being a son.. xie xie for this video.. I mean it

My father died a week ago.The painful part was I'm not there till his last day.I feel numb lost and empty.Good job Jamie for showing your love and appreciation to your father(parent).Its the best thing to do while they are alive,because we don't know what will happen tomorrow.💟

I'm literally crying right now. When Jamie explained what the song was about, I teared up watching his dad cry. I miss my dad. He passed away 11 years ago, and seeing Jamie and his dad makes me wish I could be close with my dad right now. Thank you for including your dad in your videos, Jamie. thats a real father son relationship, I don't really enjoy Jamie pranking his handsome and cool dad, but the last part get me into tears , it was really touching seeing how he practiced singing in chinese to please and show his appreciation for his dad ...It was worth it .....I so so love his love and adoration for his Dad.....

I love this particular show because it showed us the father side tradition of Jamie's and being proud of his heritage. Jamie should keep up with both his mother and father sides traditions for his own future family. I would love love to see his families all together. Congratulations to both parents for bringing up a good well mannered gentleman. He is what he is thought to be aside from having good parents too. Parents maybe apart but kids can still grow up to be good people with happy life if both parents have good relationship before and after for good of family. It's possible for miracles to happen.

I watched your video first time…I could not control myself …crying …your dad is a good and traditional Chinese parent like most Chinese dads…Chinese parents are rarely to express /speak out their love and deeper feelings to their children…always doing more, speaking less , most Chinese parents always support their children behind them , sometimes Chinese parents look strict or tough…actually they give full of love to their children…..it is a big difference between Chinese parents and the other parents who come from the countries….I have lived U.S.A for years…as a parent, Chinese parents need their kids to slowly know/explore/understand/catch the deeper love with their heart 💕, heart to heart , like this song, …pretend to be relaxed and easy-going….actually dad loves u so much . He doesn’t want you see his tears…hide in his heart …my Chinese dad is same like your dad , now I start to understand them when I grow up…and I appreciate Chinese parents, they did a lot behind me! Omg i cried out loud jamie and dad wow..maybe having a father is so nice.in my case i only saw my father twice since my parenrs they separated when i was 3 yol.And i met him again at the age of 7 on my bday nov. 2,1983 .then feb. 4 1984 my father passed away becoz of accident ,i cannot forget that was my last meeting of my father every time i cwlebrate my bday o always remember him he bought me an ice cream.Lobe ur father or parents while u can while they are still alive..God bless u jamie and dad.
