    Maybe in S. Korea, being loud is considered a bit rude, but that is Glady’s normal tone of voice. They should understand other. They are not newly wed but married for almost 2 decades now.

      I’ve met quite a few “loud” Koreans so I was surprised that they even made those comments. There’s a culture shift happening over there. Maybe the older generations was known to be quiet or soft spoken but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore

    For all those saying she’s loud and disrespectful…this man married her for a reason. This man wanted to be with her. Also she is from another country with different ways of communicating, and behavioral norms. They obviously have a playful banter. She jokingly said she needs to be paid. It's so weird to me that many watched this clip and the take away is that Gladys is rude and horrible to her husband.
    He met her 18yrs ago in her homeland, and she helped him become acclimated. This kindness caused him to fall in love with her.
    He married her and they decided to go to his homeland. A place were her mother in law was openly horrible to her during her pregnancy. But she tried to bring harmony, regardless of how she was received. (And let's face it. I'm sure she wasn't treated kindly by random strangers due to the colour of her skin and ethnic background).
    In this clip we see her helping out her husband's new business, she talks about doing all the house work. She was the sole financial support for the family while he was out of work and now that he's trying a new business.
    I'm really trying to figure out who this horrible wife is, that people keep commenting on.

    When it comes to biracial couples, I always noticed that the women put in a lot of effort to get involved with the husbands side of the family, to even go as far as learning an entirely new language.
    A lot of the women in my clan who have been married to their non-Asian husbands for decades, yet those men barley come around and don’t know squat. When I asked my biracial cousins, if I get to catch up with them, I learn that their fathers are not comfortable with “our people”, and I’m like “y’all comfortable enough to procreate with our women, but not stop by to just say. Hi.?”.

      Though I may be assuming, living condition in Korea is probably much better especially for their daughter, who, likewise is doing well in school ( education is good! ). It just makes more sense for the whole family to adjust to Korea, (I think.)

    I used to teach in Korea. Honestly, they weren’t loud to me. Many Koreans talk loudly in intimate spaces. I think the family is brave living in such a homogeneous society. The daughter is also very cute. I noticed one of the hosts asked if she hit puberty yet. That was an invasive question. I suppose it’s because the girl is a bit bigger than most Korean girls.

    • @redrose2748
      @redrose2748 2 ปีที่แล้ว +919

      I think they just asked that because the daughter doesnt want to speak to her parents a lot. In korean, the word for puberty doesn’t necessarily refer to physical changes in the body, but more so personality/attitude changes of becoming a teen. So the fact that the daughter wanted to play on her phone rather than converse w her parents is why the host asked the puberty question:)

Open teasing, light hitting, nagging or even playful drunk partners is also common here. Seoul, countryside and BUSAN are known for loud people. Busan people are even made fun of for sounding and looking like they are angry all the time. I'm confused at why the host is making this comment. This woman's voice fits right into Korea! 😂

    I'm born in a black household with mix diversity as both my parents are black as my father's side is part Native American and my mother's grandmother's side is Chinese and find it so inspiring how the Ghanaian woman speaks Korean natively! 😇 It really breaks down the language stereotypes that us blacks can't speak other languages and just so happy for the couple giving birth to a healthy Ghanaian-Korean girl as she reminds me of my nieces as they're 12-18 and going through that phase of using TikTok let alone Snapchat lol. Not sure why but hearing them eating Roman noodles @ 8:46 is the most Korean thing I've ever seen as it's like having a little ASMR as much as I despise it, it seems so soothing hearing how they enjoy their meal as they're working the best they can to support their own household.

I’m sick of the rumor of having people think that blacks can’t speak other languages as well. But to take another way of looking of it that’s how it is when if you’re black in America. Keep in mind black people with African descent are scattered around the across the world, we’re very diverse people. So Idc what they say about us all that matters is that if you know who you are and where your from, deep down regardless of our ethnicity/nationalities all that matters is if your heart is at the right place.
