    In December of 2022 I was run over by a 2023 F-150. I’m sure you can imagine how I felt when I saw this MAMMOTH of a vehicle pop up in my notifications 😂😂

    THANK YOU for finally showing what “zone lighting” looks like in the real world. This is the first video I’ve found that shows it in action. (Also the rest of your content was very helpful too) very informative.

    Being said to be a helpful friend, i used to dropping off and picking up friends to the airport twice a week, and next week helping another friend moving , this and that, people just so used to ask me for free labor, which caused me changing to a two seater sports car later on…

    Big trucks are awesome. It's great to feel large and in charge. This F-150 can do stuff you used to need an F-250 to do. Big trucks and SUVs are the modern version of family land yachts except that they don't suck to drive.

    • @bldontmatter5319

      These handle like crap and are ego wagons meant for people who need a "truck" to feel better... Whoops. That's you.

      Idk I like the way sedans and coupes accelerate and handle.
      Trucks are good for hauling, SUVs for off roading, but on roads sedans handle better, have more cabin space, and are wayyy easier to park in cities lol

    This review was extremely detailed, great job! Overall Score: 10+. Being 60 now I found the endless list of features overwhelming. How can I possibly remember them all? I love cruise control, but beyond that I might not use 90-95% of the features on this truck. I bet l could even watch Gilligan's Island and Johnny Carson on the screen!

    There are three (four if you count the Powerboost) Ecoboost engines in the F-150, a 2.7 (same in the Bronco and new Ranger, it's not a very popular engine though) and 3 3.5s with different stages of tune (including the 450hp/510 lb/ft torque Raptor engine). BTW, i'm still disappointed that Ford doesn't offer the Raptor with a N/A V8. The Ecoboost is pretty complex for something you want to take offroad (as is the supercharged 5.2 V8), and the supercharged 5.2 has way too much power (same reason why i'm not a huge fan of the TRX). I expect that the first generation Raptors will hold their value pretty well because of that.

    • @bwofficial1776
      @bwofficial1776 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@r0b3rt_959 Correct. There's no such thing as too much power. A lot of people don't realize that you don't have to use all of the gas pedal's travel.

    • @bldontmatter5319
      @bldontmatter5319 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@r0b3rt_959 if you have off-roaded you know too much power leads to tons of wheel slip. Don't embarrass yourself. Torque is needed but HP will cause tons of wheel slip. A model T with 20 HP will do better than a modern truck off-road

      I have a gen 2 raptor with the 3.5 ecoboost. Other than the cam phasers that ford hasn't been able to figure out for like 14 years now the 3.5 is actually pretty bulletproof and has a lot of overhead for tuning. Just have to make sure you change the oil every 4-5k miles/12months and you'll never have the cam phaser issue. The 3.5s have narrow oil channels and when dudes run them for 7-10k miles between changes those get plugged up and starve the phasers of oil at startup. You'll end up breaking the suspension on your gen 2 before you ever reach the limits of the powertrain on the trail though, I can tell you that from experience.

  • @kylesummers1565

    What are you guys doing to get such mediocre mileage in the Coyote? I get much better than that in my 23 Tremor. My average over 10k miles is 20.5 according to the truck computer and about 19+ calculated over a handful of tanks. I've taken two road trips so far (once to Denver and back from the 4-corners, and once to ABQ and back from 4-corners (both somewhat hilly/mountainous)). I'm curious to see if I can get over 600 miles on one tank on my next trip to Texas which will be almost exactly 600 miles. The truck says I can get around 700 highway, but I don't believe that.
    I have the 401A with the off-road upgrades (Torsen front diff, etc.) because the truck already had most of what I needed/wanted in the 401A. I totally agree on the cup-holders though, as my old Tundra and Tacoma have it beat. I got the safe instead of the console table and have removeable under seat storage for the back seat since it is technically a work truck.
    I know a guy that got the leather seats (they "might" be a little more comfortable, but I'm not sure, and mine are heated but not cooled, which is fine) but I really like the looks of the digital camo seats better than the leather.
    To your comment about the instrument cluster, the 401A comes stock with analog speed and RPM and you can customize the center digital portion of it to include speed and RPM, so that seemed like a no-brainer to me to have a lower-cost redundant system. I also got the 360 camera for a fixed price and I think they started charging for that monthly which seems insane. Peace, Love!!
