    Good tips Streeter, the wire disconnect I didn't know about, learned something new. We had our first frosty mornings a few days ago, so now I'm waiting for those first flakes to fall, still praying for snow!! The pickup line in the tank is a big one that most people don't know about.

      The disconnect is a great troubleshooting option but can catch you by surprise if you’re not prepared.
      I’ve yet to work on a older sled that the pickup line hasn’t fallen off or was about to fall off.

    I’m going through my 93 Indy classic touring 500 and have put new lines on and noticed fuel in the pulse line. Installed new fuel pump and still same issue. So I believe it’s what you’re saying about fuel leaking through needle and seat. What’s the diagnosis for that..?

    • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok. Have you drained the engine of fuel? You may have a build up in the case that’s left over from the original issue.
      Or worst case scenario, the carb is over fueling and filling the case. Pull the carbs. I have a comprehensive video on what you need to do to rebuild them.

    I took my newly purchased 2017 sled on test run and it did not skip a beat. It was about -5F and I parked it outside and a couple hours later I couldn't get it to start back up. I replaced plugs. I tried starter fluid. I tried pouring gas in the cylinders. I got spark when I pull the plugs out of the motor. And nothing is helping it to start. • @StreetersGarage
      @StreetersGarage  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CBCycles That’s odd. Typically if the vacuum is strong enough to get fuel to the shutoff, fuel should pass through it.
      Check for a blockage at the fuel shut off or take a piece of fuel hose and attach it to the other side of the valve and see if you can blow air into the tank. Listen for bubbles. 😀
