He started training under his fader supervision when he was a kid, and his father allowed him to sing solo after about 14 years. Our hearts are with his father , master shajarian and we all pray for his fast recovery. He is absolutely unique and all Iranians, even those who dont listen to classic persian music very often, love him from bottom of their hearts
His father was a master of high notes and taught him since he was a kid. His father confessed in one of his interviews that he spent a lifetime to make such a voice! Something his son wasn't born with! Hats 🎩 down to him

how he holds and releases his breath to perform that long note is just master class. also, it isn't simply a flat not, it is a fluctuating note which is called " Tahir" in Iranian classic music.it is extremely hard to perform correctly and beautifully.

What comes close to it is what flamenco vocalists sing as “curly” singing.
