The story of this concert is interesting! Shajarian was cold and a little lazy that night, so he wanted to apologize to the Audienses and postpone the concert to another time. But Homayoun asks the father to let him sing and help him. After a little hesitation, the great Shajarian trusted the son.
that night Homayoun (who had previously participated in concerts as a musician with his father) sang in front of the people for the first time! Of course, he had been rehearsing with his father for many years, but he had not sung in concerts to this night!

I knew i shouldnt have clicked on this, I cried so much , what a loss obviously for us, what a shame... i cant even put it into words.... obviously he lived his life to the fullest and we should celebrate his life but i guess our tears are for ourselves, for the life we never lived as great as he did. All i can say that i am proud to live in an era where this legend existed, and i am forever shameful that i may have not appreciated his work as it deserves to be appreciated and im sure as long as i live i try to pass on his songs to as many generations as i can manage to.

Poetry and music is probably the most important part of Iranian culture. He didn't just sing, he gave us hope in the darkest times of our history. He connected people who had to leave and reminded them of home, and told people who stayed that there will be better times. He'll be buried besides ferdosi, one of the greatest Persian poets of all time. To be buried alongside such a legend is one of the highest honours an Iranian could ever receive. Ferdosi preserved our language, shajarian preserved our heart and spirit

I believe it demonstrates intimacy that the people feel towards Master Shajarian. May he rest in peace. 🖤

To clarify how huge his impact was, let me tell you that he is going to be burried right beside Ferdosi's resting place who is the most important poet of Iran's history from 1100 years ago. That's how legendary Shajarian is and now we dont have him anymore 😔
Ferdosi is one of the most important poets of Iran alongside with Hafez, Sadi, Molana etc. he's arguably the best epic poet of Iran.
He spoke of the Iranian soul and heart in our darkest times, and he will never be forgotten for generations to come. Music and poetry is our culture, being buried alongside ferdosi is literally the highest honour an Iranian could receive
