    This remembers me my first holiday, with my parents, to England (Folkestone) in 1964... and it now seems an other world !

    Didn't the Sarnia work the Weymouth/ Channel Islands run at one point? Remember going across in the early 70s..

    My mother,grandparents and myself did this trip on the way to Nice when i was 9 years old that was in 1963.

    I saw her in Piraeus in March 2012 and wondered which sister she was. The pretty lights aft look like a bus stop - pity her navigation lights don't seem to work. Where is the after masthead light for a vessel over 50m?

    That's the Orient Express by the looks.

      The named trains are the Golden Arrow and the Train Bleu. They, particularly the Golden Arrow, were much more prestigious trains than the Orient Express for contemporary passengers.

    There's no way on this planet that's from 1962 .. The camera work is too professional and too well edited. Nice video though.

      If it is Pathe news, then it using some of the best camera men with the best equipment. 35mm film probably. Cinema quality.
