Why I chose the Stahlwerk 185A MIG over all these cheap Amazon welders -it’s a mini beast

- I needed to upgrade my Chicago Electric MIG welder.
These were the four contenders:
Forney 140 MP tinyurl.com/ycxk73rf
Stahlwerk 185A tinyurl.com/3a8psf2v
SereneLife tinyurl.com/yewzdpd4
PrimeWeld MIG 180 tinyurl.com/2u8v7tw9
For my Stahlwerk I also bought:
Roller drives:
Flux core roller for 0.030 and 0.035 wire tinyurl.com/yh92mvms
MIG wire for gas 0.023 and 0.30 wire tinyurl.com/5dcppuw4
Regulator with nipple for the hose tinyurl.com/2e6jtbdh
Taco analogy is great! 😂 grew up in NM, now I’m in Idaho and miss the tacos and burritos.
Picked a primeweld tig after your review! Now I need a better mig 😂
Having some tonight!
Both my Primeweld TIG and the Stahlwerk MIG are going strong.
Three bottles so far through the mig and it’s been flawless
How did the Stahlwerk perform? Satisfied with your decision?
I’ve used it quite a bit. Got some new wire for it and it’s so good. Just throw away the wire it comes with. Too much splatter
@@snaph Hi, Did it come with the flux core wire? What's the wire brand you got now?
@@EuProprio-un5ek It comes with wire that needs gas (not flux core). It welded very badly, so I would get some new wire. It splattered like flux core, but the package said it was not flux core
Harbor Freight Flux core is actually pretty decent.
Currently, I am using gas and this wire, which runs really nicely (though it is out of stock at the moment on Amazon). www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000DD6IE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hope that helps
stahlwerk offers 7yrs warranty!!!
Oh nice!
