As a man who A) has never operated a welder, B) who wants to learn welding, and C) is fascinated by welding, your channel is one of my favorites. Your presentation is excellent. Cheers from Hillsdale, Kansas (Kansas City).
As a welder for over twenty years I think this is good info, keep it up, I see some guys laughing at the idea of having scissors etc in their tool box. I always do , very usefull when making paper templates , duh.😊😊
Could you not just put the pipe up against the end and draw round it onto the pipe? Or measure the angles of the piece you are attaching to and mark them onto the pipe?
Yes he could have, and that's why as a 30 year weld vet I do not approve of this method. Sure it does the job. But in a shop environment there are a few faster ways. One of witch you described
If your pipe is a conduit for a media , learning pipe layout like tees, elbows, and cones etc is very handy. I would use my "Curvo Mark" wrap around and my contour marker. If making a truncated cone of a big dia from round to square the layout is a bit more involved, but doing the piece in sections many times is the only way. Just remember that if one man can do it so can another.

i'd get fired if i would take that long to cut a pipe. it's kinda neat but takes to long. butt it, mark it, cut and weld. if it looks like garbage when ur done, ur just a shitty fabricator.
I love it. I said the same shit when I saw it. I thought. Um...ok...to each his own. The people that don't know any better I imagine it looks amazing. 😅😂

They don't discuss it because there are a plethora of other ways to do it that don't take more than 30 seconds
Please share.
Yes, Called T&E, Trial & Error. Leads to a lot of scrap pieces left over that cost you money on a job,
Sungguh luar biasa
Make sure you remember where you put these templates at because they will be handy in the future. "Welding machine"
So pelo barrulho da lixadeira da p ver que ja ta nas últimas kkk
What? that's too smart!! just use a dozen rods and weld 20 pieces of scrap!! it'll hold a kleenex box👍🏼
I don't think I ever welded a pipe onto an angle iron.
👍👍👍
Wearing gloves with holes in them is rather pointless.
Как все сложно. У нас сварщик на большом токе "сдувал" с трубы лишнее и потом привариварил

Why not?

"Round pipe metal" huh
That’s because this isn’t how welders do it 👎
😊
why did you decide to give yourself zinc poisoning?
Don't know a single welder that would go to all that bother
A lot of work and an incomplete job....
