Thank you so much for doing this series. I just paid a ton of money for one of these and it wouldn't do more than 22mph. I was not happy. Now it will do 30mph without having touched the rpm regulator. I appreciate it. Waiting on the next video please.
Totally. 22 feels slow. 30 mph is nice for this machine. 35 gets a bit unstable mostly from the hydraulic steering setup. I've had mine hit 38 mph now!
My X1140, when warm, does 26 on flat pavement. It would do 25 when new and within a year I noticed it began to struggle to get 23. I adjusted the slack out of the throttle cable and it now hits 26. I was careful to not allow the adjustment to increase idle speed, just no slack in the cable. I look forward to what other things you adjusted to get maximum performance. Like you, I didn't buy the X1140 because it was fast. I do, however, sometimes run to the hardware store or to a friends house 3-4 miles away and having a little more speed would be nice. I have often thought if it would only do 30 I would be satisfied. Only 4 mph but it just feels better at that speed when traveling on road. BTW on road use is legal on county roads where I live.
That's perfect! Taking slack out of the cables is a big help. That's helps with overall response too. So when you touch the pedal, it's starts responding. I've seen some where you're pushing 1/4 way down before anything happens. That's no good!
Full throttle and trans linkage adjustment and increased to 30 mph on a jack and still only wanting to do 23 on a downhill. Waiting for your fuel pump increase video😂
Just found this by accident. Need more speed and power . Mine is on tracks so can’t go by my mph . Follow all the forums and web pages not much you can do without out turning up the hydraulic pressure? Thinking of adding a turbo to help with the power. Wish I could bolt up a bigger motor to tve transmission.
That's pretty good! I think this machine is perfect at 30 mph. Handles it nicely 👌 I mainly snowblow with it and just cruise around. What do you use to mow? Like a pull finish mower?
That is my sons car! He is planning to do a resto on it eventually. Once we get started we'll do some videos along the way. He's working on buying a house so it my be a bit!
Mine does 8.... both forward and backwards on the ground. On jacks, it's 18. I watched all your videos and checked all following your instructions. They all seem fine and good according to your videos (I was able to move the set screw to allow more throttle and that increased the speed by 2). But I'm still only doing 8 across the flat ground, less up hills. So my pure guess: I need new hoses? Any advice? I'm in Florida so dropping it off it's an option.
Oh, that's no good! Which model do you have? X1100? (Just want to make sure) Have you changed all filters and fluid? How is your fluid level? It could be a hose problem. They can get soft and collapse, which restricts flow. Are your brakes stuck on by chance?
@@SearlesStation I have an x900. I ordered the filters (waiting on them) and the fluid level is fine. I will change both when the filters come in. I haven't checked the brakes. But I will now! I was thinking about just replacing all the hydraulic lines, fluid, filters and rebuilding the pump. After that: I hope the issue is gone. Any suggestions on where to get the parts to rebuild the pump?
Yes! There are a couple things you may want to do. I would start with the in cab foot pedal adjustments that way you know when you put your foot down its actually going back to the linkage
There are 2 places hydraulic fluid goes, in the transmission gear case which is under the box and the reservoir under the seat. Is the fluid reservoir under the seat full oil on the dip stick?
@@SearlesStation I will do that when I get the chance too. I had to use chevron hydraulic oil.Because I’m to far from a dealer for Kubota oil. And that’s the only oil I had availability.
22 mph flat ground on a incline not a big one just little one just want climb in h have to stop and go to low at 4 mph to get up any incline any advice
Wouldn't it be better to drive it and see what it does? Spinning wheels on a lift doesn't mean much of anything. It has to move it's weight. It has to overcome rolling resistance and wind resistance and tire size and pressure and.... Just because you make it go faster on a stand doesn't mean it will do that in real life. HP and torque especially aren't spinning wheels on a lift.
Yes, I agree with a load... up hill, down hill etc... it will take power from the engine. What I'm saying is that as fast as your machine will go with no load, raised up, is as much as you'll ever see while driving. I go up hill at 20, but down hill at 35. If it doesn't go 35 on the lift, it won't down a hill either. So that's the baseline I'm suggesting.
My speed is 11-13 downhill with a plow. Going uphill with the same plow it’s 4 mph. Lmao. Going reverse on the same hill it hits 6-7 mph. It’s a funny joke.
@@SearlesStation Probably something very wrong. Thank you for these videos! Maybe it’ll fix the issue. Is there a possibility you could do other videos for basic maintenance (changing all fluids) and perhaps others like changing the alternator, arrestor cleaning, etc? This is one of the handful channels who actually have very nice quality videos which are a great resource for everyone without spending a fortune in the dealership! Thank you for the videos!

Doing maintenance for the shop today and our x1100c tops out at 23 on pavement and 27 on the jack
Not too bad! Let me know if you go through all the steps and if you like the results!

Cant wait to see where this guy takes the project. This is the biggest reason people shy away from these models

Add the turbo, it should help some. (Although mixed reviews on that.)
I'd love to get your machine in the shop to see if I can tune it for you.
I am at 31MPH with all four sides on jackstands. I am at 30 on blacktop. But I do most of my work at 5-10 MPH and mowing at 3mph.

My new RTV-X2 tops out at 19 on fairly level road. I was expecting 25.
It will get a bit better as it breaks in.
After a couple hundred miles, bring it in or adjust some stuff.
Hey bubba watching your video for work what's the story on the lowrider man that thang is beautiful would love to here more about it

Im at 27mph on the jack stand but only 20mph on flat road. It will get up to 25mph going down hill. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Are you up to date with fluid and filter changes? What year/hours/miles?
@SearlesStation
Just changed all the fluids & happen to see your videos.
2015. 500hrs, 1300 miles.
Thanks for help

Can you do this with a X900 diesel 4x4 Kubota?
Yes
Need help finding the video my x1140 when new did 24 am lucky if I can get 18 mph
Thanks for watching!
AHH YES I FOUNF THE VIDEOS!!THANK YOU!
Welcome! Let's have some fun 😁
The Kubota rtv is a good reliable workhorse but if you want speed buy a different make
For sure, for sure. But it can go 30 no problem. When I hear people say it only goes 16 or 20, that just not right.
I don’t care about more torque and speed I love to cruse inside the cab jamming carrying full loads in the back
I can drive mine around town with a permit. I love it
Bigger tires make it go faster.
Yes, it can! There is low end loss. By reducing total wheel weight, youd gain some too.

Shake and bake!
Wanted to go faster put a turbo on it and bigger tires quit crying about it.... spend that money.....
That works some too. Part if this machine is how the VHT works. Just adding horsepower doesn't modify the variability system.
Just flipped one of these bad boys and completely destroyed my legs, be safe fellas 🫡
Oh man! Are you going to recover!?
