Fun fact: the Japanese version actually included the gore. you could decapitate enemies, loot the heads, sell them after the fight and get rich in no time....heads' values were broken
Ppl should really play this game with the PCSX2 emulator at 4k resolution. Get the uncensored version that adds dismemberment from the CDromance site and enable it on the options and this game is golden, combat mechanics are deep , extremely satisfying combat RPG mechanics. This is one of my all time favorite games

I remember this game had a bug for the pirated version. The game just decided to crash after a few ingame days. It took me a long time to finally play this game after working and managed to buy a ori hardcopy of the game.
Yeah, it is made by JP devs after all. Hell, if you look at footages of dialogue with characters from gladiator begins it really starts to remind me of visual novels
@@KrisVickers-wn6dd Unfortunate, thought that in this age where competitive gaming is a thing, complete with audience, there'd be a niche for gladiator games. Guess fighting games and fps are the closest experience we'd get in the more mainstream part of gaming

Actually, the best way to enjoy this game is the USA version(SLUS-21179) with the day 50 skip ,not the betas, EUR version or the remix

This game was/is still a banger. The training and eating mechanics were so fun and the combat is easy to learn, hard to master. At least for me lol
It is indeed a gem, funnily enough I think the closest experience I had to this game in pc is actually Exanima's arena mode.
