Hey guys so this is my attempt at unbricking a dead p4p battery. I would love to get some feedback from you since this did not completely fix the battery. It still will not charge nor start my p4p but any progress to the DIY community is a good thing. Let me know your thoughts and ideas in the comments below and maybe we can finally solve this issue.

Hey everyone my first TH-cam video so take it easy on me. Going over some common issues I’ve ran into and how I’ve fixed them I take no responsibility for any of the information provided.
Would be nice if anything was properly explained
You need to plug it in to a computer and remove error codes. You need a EV2300 and some software
You need the software to remove the PF
PF status fail
Do you have more info on the flexible filament modification? and what ecactly does that "hugger" at 2:50 thing do?
It’s a printed gear that grabs the filament better. You have to take apart the extruder. The “hugger” is a printed clip that locks the extruder to the gantry. This is helpful when printing at faster speeds because the magnets are trash.
@@cloudninjaphotography6304 Cool. I've had issues with two of my extruders claiming that they're slipping... I checked the rotation sensor, but it seems fine, so i'll try to find more info about that... any pointers about where to find more info on the printed gear?

Clear the internal codes by using EV2300 TI instrument along with TRB2300 software.
I would recommend not removing the wire harnesses by pulling on the wires. Us a non-metallic prying tool to walk the clip out.
The BQ30Z55 Battery Management Chip has to be reset or it will not work!

Not change, need activate BMS. See my video how to activate.
I have seen another video on these batteries and there is a reset terminal on that circuit board. The guy jumped the reset terminal to the negative terminal for a couple of seconds and the lights on the battery work up. He could then charge it in the regular charger.

@@DavoShed were you able to get the charger to charge the batttery by resetting it as you mentioned? I have 3 batteries that died because I stored them too long.
@@BugCrush3r The case on my non responsive battery is one of the ones that is glued together. I haven’t managed to get it open yet. I’m tempted to cut a hole in the back to access those contacts. I’m kind of dammed if I do and dammed if I don’t. It’s useless if it doesn’t work and useless if I destroy the case. I’ll post again if I successfully access the terminals and I may even video the process.

You know what's worse than an idiot who lets his DJI battery completely die and won't take a recharge.....an idiot who doesn't know how to use a camera to record himself charging a battery. How the hell do you not know how to use your camera dude!
It was like 4 am bro. I also bought it second hand and it was already dead. You would know that if you watch the video. You know what’s worse than an idiot commenting on my TH-cam channel? U did the right thing so far, the next step is to unlock the Battery. You will need a Texas Instrument programmer ( around 150 EUR ) and the Software UBRT-2300 (u need to buy the annual license too, around 100€/year ), Then you can clear out the Permanent failer code This guy explains it very well( use youtube subtitle transleter ) /watch?v=vzc_zV50HQw&ab_channel=TaranuMihaita
Was just about to say the same thing. It's in PF so it's to clear it and reseal.
That sounds like more trouble than its worth. I just did this on a Inspire battery and it works great. I have about a dozen P4 batteries that I would like to do this too but it seems like too much trouble for the payoff.

@@twincityaerial9258 unfortunately it is, i think it would pay it self off if you have enough p4 batteries, but still they are LiPos and it is not good to “revive” them

The guy you talked about taking his inspire voltage up to 20v is because the inspire has a 6s battery while the phantom has a 4s battery. Phantom battery is approximately 16.8 fully charged. 20v would be too much

I was lucky enough to get one of these for free from work. It was damaged when it was shipped to my house. I had noticed the gantry wasn’t perpendicular to the frame. I then saw the vertical bars behind the build plate were dislodged at top. That started my journey on tweaking the machine. These videos are super helpful. BTW - that little connector for the camera easily bends the super tiny pins on the board when trying to reconnect. Ask me how I know. One more thing. Try turning the iPhone sideways instead of vertical and use a tripod when filming.
