Hi Alf after taking out the main fuse disconnecting battery and ABS plug I fitted the leads for the trickle charger. When I started the bike I had an engine management light. Your information saved me a trip to my Harley dealer. Thanks you again
I think you nailed it. I have no speedo. I have tried 5,- 5,- 5, times to call a harley dealer that is 8 miles down the road from me. "Wisconsin harley" and they would not get back to me. I bought not only 2 NEW, bikes from them but other stuff and they will not give me any info. or call back.Thank you for your time and help you can send this to anyone you want with my OK. Hope it will get back to Wisconsin.
Great, thanks Alf. I dound the code after an engine management light illumination and innitial terror. It was what I hoped it was, a dodgy turn signal connection! Cleared all and will get resoldered or summat. Oddly enough I triggered in when it stopped working, I wobbled the wire, got it goign again and EM light came on! Thanks.
Apparently the error codes are not listed in the basic Service Manual, but you need to get a copy of the "Electrical Diagnostic Manual". If I'm mistaken, please post page number in the 2019 Softail Service Manual, but I surely can't find it! Great Video, again! Great Content. Keep it up!
Sorry to bother you, However when you said something about the speed sensor I took out the sensor on the right side by starter it had alot of metal shavings on it. I reset the d08SEE code to clear. Could it be the "S" in the code stands for the sensor? I am hoping for that. I kept on getting leg craps getting at the dam thing. Everything seems to be ahellofa lot harder to do these days. Thanks again for your help. I have to wait for some time before I can start it up.
I did what you said about checking the codes. I have 2000 fatboy and that did work the same way. Now what came up was d02 SEE AND d08 SEE at the end cal 03. the rest were all clear. now what is next? THANK YOU for the help.
@@RevelatorAlf check engine stays on even when running I also just checked them again and I cleared them and I do not know how I did it. Right now it is just to early to try and start it up. Bad neighbors. codes were d92 SEE and d08 SEE at the end was cal 03. now when I checked them all clear but at the end still said cal 03. Thank you.
Did you clear the codes using the trip Speedo reset button? Have you cleared all historical stored codes? Have you had problems with your Speedo in the past or the sensor? Do a full clear reset of error codes and come back to me
@@RevelatorAlf Alright all codes were clear. I started the bike engine light came on again. shut off bike and went through the steps and only one code came up. d08 5EE, and at the end was cal 03. Another thing is the speedo would go out just before engine light came on.
Whilst you can clear error codes and the check engine light they don’t actually disappear if you clear them...they stay in the memory and the dealer will see them when you take it in for a service.
Great help Alf, the ecm ecode is P0152h , abs ecode is U0100h, I did clear them but due to recent upgrades done to my bike I will be in touch with dealer...what's your website address please Alf so i can check those codes, Cheers, Rob 🇦🇺🌅🍺
I am having issues. My Road King is supposed to have the engine light come on the when the fuel pump engages the engine light used to shut off. So my bike is doing the start up procedure like your so frail now. Engine light is on, then I start the bike and it goes off. I’ve been look for codes for 2 days. Nothing. I may pull the main fuse & try again. This is all after the street tuner stage 1 I put in.
OK so now, when you start the bike...does the check engine light go out or stay on? If it goes out, then that is normal. Your tuner may have had some interference but if you're not sure, then take it to a dealership to see if they can spot what the issue might be. Good luck
@@RevelatorAlf Hey Rev, Thanks for the reply brother. The Light goes "Off" when I start the bike. I'm in the process of removing the main fuse to see if that helps set it back to the way it used to "start Up" procedure wise !!!
Hi brother, i have qustion sir 😘my bike is 2011 hertige softail, the problem i just bought new battery, now the bike not working i took it to shop her he chek all wires he told me all good, what u thing the problem sir😭👍🏿
It could be a whole host of reasons. Is your battery fully charged and holding a charge. Was the old battery still working? Have you blown the main fuse? If you have taken it to the shop they should be able to narrow it down quite quickly, but if you've just changed the battery and now you're getting problems, the first area to replace would be battery again and check fuses. Cheers

It is still going on. I just had wide radius exhausts put on and he engine light comes on when I accelerate. Could be an O2 thing
