As a neutral observer I find Manchester United to be one of the least confusing teams around because they seem to have 1 of 2 types of season every season. They even start every season pretty much identically, they have a big spending summer, their fans get excited about the season ahead, they start terribly and almost immediately fall out of title contention. Then the season goes one of two ways, they either recovery and end the season quite strong, top 4 and build excitement for the next season even higher or they continue to muddle along and end up 6th or 7th, usually resulting in a managerial change which gets the cycle going again for the next season.
@@GamToGam At least spurs finally have a vision for the future. Exciting football and stadium has been louder this season. Lost or win, it got the fans cheering
@@FootballIconic let's be honest, you've been missing most of your defense and Casemiro for nearly all of the season...as well as Erikson and Mount. If you say it, as a Utd fan, people will hammer you and say "everyone gets injuries". So as a non-Utd fan, I'll say it...the injuries have been crazy!
5 permanent managers in 10 years post-Fergie. It's not confusing when you realise the underlying problem is the club structure and the culture of mediocrity it encourages.
Doesn't help that there's still players there who have downed tools against previous managers, he needs more summer transfer windows to get rid of those players and bring in new ones.
There are currently four players contracted to Manchester United who remember Louis Van Gaal. I think it tells you everything you need to know And don't even get me started on how many "survivors" from Jose and Ole's tenures are still there
And how many managers has Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid and so had over the last few years where they've been successful? Man United never backed the manager under Van Gaal or Mourinho, and the terrible players like Rashford, Shaw or Pogba won. Then to appease the players our useless board appoints two absolute clowns in Ole and ten Hag. The worst part? They backed ten Hag with his signings and departures (Ronaldo) but not Mourinho or Van Gaal. Signings which by the way include: -Not one, but 2 strikers who have 0 PL goals combined in two seasons -92 year old Johnny Evans -Fidget spinner -5'4 injury prone CB And the cherry on top is that awful idiots like Martial, Rashford, Shaw, Bruno are still at this club after countless embarassments and failures but our puppet manager is hell bent on keeping them at the club. So the issue isn't the revolving door of manager, rather the fact they backed the wrong one and keep persisting with awful, terrible players
@@deviildelta Stability at the club is important. Ole isn't a top manager, not even close, but he inherited a squad of players brought in by three different managers, among other problems at the club. Chelsea for example remained fairly successful for a long period of time despite their constant managerial roulette, but did so for a cost of a complete rebuild every two or three years. They would have probably been even more successful with much less money spent if they just stuck with one manager for a longer period of time and allowed him to build something other than a team for a short term success

Great analysis. You did justice to it. From latest adjustments in various clubs (Barcelona, Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham etc) some things are somehow constant: 1) You don't necessarily need to change a manager (Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool) 2) You need a certain level of purge (Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea) Chelsea failed here because the purging was ridiculously too much in a short duration! 3) Change of Captain. A dude who can change on and off field events (Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United) Man United has a captain who complains to referees too much and get involved in football antics that are not good examples to other players. 4) Discipline (Arsenal, Man city, etc). Ten Hag might need to raise the discipline level for the players. It shows in their play and interviews. 5) Release unhappy players/players who don't want to stay (Real Madrid's Benzeama, Chelsea's Kante, Mendy, Arsenal's Lacazette, Granit Xhaka, Mancity's Cole Palmer, Jesus, Zinchenko, Cancelo, Liverpool's Minimano, Firmino) I've already explained why Chelsea is failing: Sudden overhaul of virtually all players and manager!
The main problem is the glazers won’t allow sales of players they paid big money too because we’re in so much debt it looks bad on the hooks therefore we keep players that should be sold and the manger gets the flack for it consistently we are run as a commercial club instead of a football club
You hit the nail on the head with Bruno. Great player but not a captain at all. But with De Gea I don’t know who you give it too. Certainly not Mctominay.
But I would take Bruno as captain as apposed to Casemiro or Varane who will leave in the summer...I will change the captain 2 season later when there's more structured... that if there's a structure.
I am not a man united fan but do watch a lot of their games. After watching Anthony at Ajax, I was excited to get to see him in the EPL, but since he's arrived, I am just wondering what made me like him so much. That can be said for a lot of the players here but I enjoy the anger this raises.
I remember getting flamed on Reddit for suggesting that maybe this is the season he'll have a John Stones-esque renaissance. Happy to see him bounce back
@@familyden4640Antony took ages in Ajax to get into form, but in the end he was really good. He’s the kind of player that plays shit when he doesn’t feel comfortable at the club or private life. Im more surprised by Onana. At Ajax he was always good. I haven’t seen him play in Italy but the blunders he made in ManU are things I’ve never seen from him.
Agree, like him or not sacking him sends the wrong signal to the players. It’s just again letting the players win again. Ten Hag is stubborn but let’s be honest a lot of managers are stubborn at times but they can afford it where as at United you can’t since that could cost him his job since there’s not a good enough set of players to back his mistakes up. I get why some people wants to sack him but that’s just pure anger and frustration. Nothings gonna change in the big picture if we sack him
I agree with what you said, the players also have to take the blame... Some of them lack professionalism, bad mouthing and not believing the manager and so on.We've seen this countless time post - SAF.Under Rangnick the players refused to play his gegenpress tactics and his 433 formation. He only played that way for a few match.
when CR7 had the balls to tell Piers Morgan that Ragnick wasn't even a coach smh. After everything Ragnick accomplished in his career this opened my eyes as to why the whole team just quit on him in the second half of that season.
Ah, the monthly confused about Manchester United video makes its return. This is the true essence of the Football Iconic channel. Jokes aside, from an Arsenal fan, don’t give up hope my friend. Our process ended up working, yours just might as well. Change will come.
Excellent break down Sir, youve earned a new subscriber. UTD makes me feel schizophrenic at times, i love them, i hate them, i want Ten hag to succeed but i want this crap football gone but we have seen this before over and over, have a good season, win a trophy and the board act like we are the finished product and dont back the manager. Fans focus on the 400 million spent but neglect the reality we lost over 400 million in players walking out the door for free, Our squad is so thin it’s been exposed this season just like previous seasons. We have players starting week in week out we wanted to sell in the summer because they dont fit Ten Hags way. We have consistently not got players managers wanted consistently brought in loans that are not good enough because lets be honest its not like clubs loan their best players, its usually players they dont see as part of their plans. With this miss mash of players from previous managers as far back as 10 years ago, different play styles and few who ever looked World class for more than a minute, i believe its an absolute miracle Ten Hag reached finals finished top 4 and has in a position to be in the top 4 race, this is where we are folks and we need to suck it up and get behind the team, im praying we dont sack ten hag because i cant face another manager with another rebuild and not getting his players, no money to spend, and just more miss mash football, off the pitch decisions by idiots have ruined this great club.

Great watch as always 👊🏿. United will always remain one of the most fascinating case studies. Dont think ive ever seen a club in transition this long. Maybe not as disastrous as Arsenal banter era or AC Milan banter era but probably the one that has basically been stagnat the most. The issues that were there when Sir Alex left 10+ years ago are the exact same issues that still are there at that club today. But alas, one thing will always ring true, decision making upstairs impacts an entire club and until the structure is fixed theres gonna be this perpetual transition. As a Madrid fan im forever thankful that even in our down years we have things sorted upstairs so our down years never last long. Congratulations on the partnership and keep up the great work 👊🏿
We lost 7-0 to Liverpool and people didn’t see this coming? (0-0) After an awful loss of-course we had to defend, judge man united performance in the next derby but after a huge loss, it’s actually a very good response. They did the one thing they couldn’t do.
@@faydn3150 they weren’t shit Liverpool was actually good they did everything they could, your missing the point that United defended well, it’s what happens when you defend and let go off attacks you can literally see how frustrated Liverpool became as they kept shooting from long distance. You have to give credit where it’s due they were in hostile environment were they lost 7-0 last time
As an Austrian I will forever be greatful to ManU and especially their stupidity. You guys being so utterly dismissive of Ralf Rangnick and his ideas for rebuulding the club (all of which by now have been proven right) made it possible for him to become the coach of our NT. So thank you, thank you very much.
I have to be honest, as someone who played as a GK I'm astonished that Ohnana was purchased by United. He played in an Inter team which was defense focused, they were very organised, Ohnana always had support from his defenders and the entire squad were a close group of players. Now he's in a team which has almost zero organisation on any part of the field, a completely dysfunctional squad and dealing with a much harder and faster paced league... This even answers his own question about going from best to worst in 6 months. He wasn't exposed at Inter, he is at United. The guy is not good enough for a top level club that doesn't have a strong defense that focuses on defensive styles of play. He'd be good under a Mourinho team for example, but awful for a Klopp or Guardiola team.
The players don't drink before a match either and yet somehow they perform as if they are completed sloshed at times .. just seems to be the effect the club has on people.
As a milan fan who go through the banter era, I can assure you this kind of on and off form will happen regularly. Unbeaten for x match then goes on a slump for x matches
Onana has always had a kind of risk factor to him. It was noticeable at my club Ajax. But damn, is it really showing this season. Still though, he’s a quality keeper. We’ve seen plenty of evidence of that.
Thank you for your video. I just want to say I support EtH. And question this - How is any manager supposed to be strong and authorative, whe he keeps getting undermined by the club? For many years we have seen managers wanting rid of players, and the club keeps them, creating a toxic atmosphere. This summer, EtH wanted to sell McTominay, Maguire, Martial and Sancho. All still here, and he has to play three of them. Until the club grow a pair, and actually start supporting the manager, I for one will not call "out". As you say, minimum three years needed. I agree with that. But the club has to start cleaning the house as well, for it to work.
As a Real Madrid fan that had to grow up in the fergie years of United (and pip's Barça) and being told countless times about how "oh, United doesn't need to buy players, we have our youth academy. We don't buy players to win like Real does" And then watching how far United has fallen in the last decade plus while spending absurd amounts of money and Real has won 5 more CL with a midfield that was bought for less than €100m (Kroos, Modric, Casemiro) has brought so much happiness to my life. Not to mention the deathspiral Barça is in financially, which I'm so glad that they have "the best youth academy of all time". It goes to show you just how difficult the world of club football actually is, and just how impressive what Real Madrid does is.
3 options are: Replace every player. Replace the manager. Continue the way things are. Whether you think it’s unwise to replace Ten Hag. It is the only realistic option.
It's confusing, when you look at Onana he's awkward and blunder-prone. But actually his save ratio and expected goal stopped/expected goals conceded he is one of the best in the league just under Vicario.
I don’t understand how no one is questioning the Sancho situation since he’s been banished from the team. Surely Ten Hag has proven his point and if it really is just for not apologizing now the club is gonna have a 70 million player walk out for nothing. When even if they don’t get along as a manager you play Sancho if he plays well increases his value to sell, if he plays poorly it validates Ten Hag for dropping him in the first place. With the poor run of games and injuries that happened the fact that this wasn’t considered is a huge managerial blunder in my opinion. All for discipline and running the locker room but at this point it’s strange that it’s gone on so long over something so petulant
Once upon a time, there was a team named Newton Heath.... Can't always be on top. Got to get used to being at the edge of the top flight teams for a while. Ten Hag has brought us silverware already. We got to give him time to sort things out.
I don’t know what it is with modern sports but just because the team is losing or not doing well for ONE season that does not mean you should fire the manager. You need one consistent vision, culture, style for the team to follow to be good and they’re not going to get that switching managers every couple of months.
The thing is, pre injuries and match bans, ange came in and shook up the league, set a new standard for managers coming in, with emre and de zerbi taking the league by storm at times, however too, and arteta has done well, 3 years ago the only quality managers with quality sides were klopp and pep, things are changing and united have to keep up
I think you need to keep the faith in Ten Hag. The injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Eriksen have completed ruined your ability to build from the back and forced the manager to change the style of play from last season where you finished 3rd and won a trophy. The manager looks like he's finally managing to install some discipline in this side. He dropped Varane and Rashford, but has brought both back in from the cold, and Varane has played well, whereas Rashford was actually tracking back in his short cameo againt Liverpool, kept the shape and wasnt trying to play hero ball. The performance was the most tactically and mentally disciplined performance from United the whole season. Antony was dangerous on the counter and McTominay failed to connect with any of the crosses and Hojlund and Garnacho both fluffed their lines when chances to steal the game fell to them. I may be wrong, but it really looked like the squad is starting to turn the corner and Ten Hags discipline is winning them over. I guess we'll see this weekend. Also, Martinelli was the first man sent off for 2 yellows in the same phase of play, also by Michael Oliver against Wolves 😂 😅😅
I always remember at different points in time, big clubs going through tough periods being referred to as 'sleeping giants' like AC Milan and Arsenal. But United aren't exactly sleeping in the sense that we're always at the forefront of conversations, media etc. Even had a few false dawns. I think the appropriate term for us is a 'Shackled (maybe even drunk at times) Giant'
Man U used to intimidate me as an Arsenal fan. However, i honestly feel bad for them due to their management team. My Arsenal went through a lot of pain too but management made some good strides to be stable. I think filling Fergie's shoes seems to be a serious feat. Mourinho was the best option when they had him imo. If they had been patient and invested strategically, things might have turned out differently. I am not trashing them but how can you look at the money thrown frivolous ly at some of the signings and not have questions?
Its a sentiment ive been sharing with my friends who support Man U for years, ever since the day the Glazers took over Sir Alex was the bandaid that kept the club from crunbling in the later years. I respect and want Man U to be at their best cuz good competition breeds excitement in football but this club has systemic problems that no manager or player can fix. I support Chelsea, I know how bad we are and how bad our own systematic problems are, but I love the prem and i want the usual customers to be run and operated well and with passion for the sake of their fans, not billionaire owners who dont care about football
In what way do you think the Glazers are destroying Man Utd? (not a troll question, I genuinely want to know). This is a narrative that seems to be going on the internet a lot, but no one seems to be able to give an objective answer. For me the problem is rooted in the players perceiving Man Utd as a getaway for a huge paycheck without having to live up to expectations (since the club hardly punishes those who are subpar, look at what lengths they were going to just to keep Pogba despite not proving his worth).
@JamesYusof Horrendously poor management, lack of accountability, and failure to invest in company infrastructure. Woodward was a joke for a decade, poor decision after poor decision but always allowed to carry on. Who was giving those contracts you mentioned out? Who was chasing the "Big name signing of aging superstar" every summer? Poor management. Linked to this is the accountability, players being kept on when underperforming year after year. Look back at the squad ETH inherited to get a good look at this. The problem became too big to deal with swiftly. In terms of infrastructure, OT was once the gold standard of grounds in the UK. Now it's in desperate need of repairs and work. Presentation is important. If where you work looks old, worn and left to rot it shouldnt be a shock to see the same from the players
@@JamesYusof The best way I can answer this from my perspective is lack of investment in key aspects of the club that need it and misappropriation of funds as well as lack of care and accountability for mistakes both on and off the pitch. This comes from the top with the owners down to the players. Man U as far as I know were debt free before the Glazers, after 2003/4 they have been trying to pay off debt created by their owners who use this club as a piggy bank. SAF because of his great skills as a manager could tape over the holes behind the scenes. I mean Old Trafford is basically falling apart and the glazers don't care. They throw money at meaningless things and players hoping to work. But look at Man City for example. A clear vision for what they want to achieve from top down (stadium, overall infrastructure, transfer policy and quality investment between the men's and women's side of their club)
I think in the case of McTominay, he can be tried on as a defensive/pressing forward. It's good for games when we're likely to not have possession and it allows him to use his best antributes namely the fact that he runs a lot. His weakness can be covered by the fact that as a forward he wouldn't need to make insane passes, and his weakness in defensive positioning is nullified since he's no longer a defensive player. If he can be taught to press effectively, he can just keep making it harder for opposing CBs to retain possession which might lead them to making mistakes. If he wins the ball he can do a side ways pass to either Bruno or one of the wingers, or have a go for goal. Also because he's tall he can offer arial threat or a target to hoof the ball to if we need to do a long pass. Just imagine a hybrid between Roberto Firmino and Peter Crouch, but slightly weaker in each player's respective strongest trait.
He needs to dropped into the championship that's his level, a midfielder that can't press, can't pass, can't defend, can't assist and struggles to understand that you cannot recieve the ball while hiding behind an opponent
Also a Man U fan. Disappointed is the nicest way to express my feelings on them recently but nah if you a top 6 team and have spent as much as Chelsea and we somehow seem like a good team is crazy it's just fighting for the wooden spoon 💀😅
Arteta had 2 really poor seasons and everyone was calling for him to be sacked. But the club believed in him and backed him and look at how Arsenal is doing now. I think the fans and club need to back continuity.
Why is it that eth fc always use arteta as a bench mark? 1. He actually had a style of play. 2. He still hasnt achieved anything after spending 750mil and 4years. Why not compare eth with klopp? klopp had way less investment and he had a clear identity. Ohh what about ange and de zerbi? they immediately had an identity within 2months. Eth is a crap coach rubbish
@@techarch8851none of this was said 4 months ago by any of you so 🤨 you guys cant keep going through this process every 2 years. No wonder there's no stability or direction at Man Utd. It's not a surprise.
@@dre8463 I was eth out when he actually confirmed he is not planning on playing ajax football. Thats after spending 450mil to get ajax players. His transfers were terrible. Question why buy ajax players only to play them with a "no style" football?
Partially agree with this. The football under Arteta during those first 2 seasons was simply horrendous. Don't care what revisionists try to say, that football was really bad and depressing. Even Ole football was more exciting to watch. But what makes me trust ETH longevity less is the fact that he's rendered the scouting dept impotent and has rather chosen to sign former players who are clearly not good enough for this level. He shouldn't have been given so much power in the first place but united will be united. This new committee might just save him because despite the early defeats in the season, I really did like the football we played in the first halves, against spurs and Brighton before we got turned over. I'm hoping if he can sort out the disgruntled players like Rashford and welcome back some injured players the team can put in more performances like that again, without the capitulation in the second half ofcourse.
@@refigee8752 Biggest question you should ask yourself is why did eth bring ajax players just not to play ajax football??? that in itself shows how incompetent eth is.
We need to release the players Ten Hag doesn't need or doesn't want. However, looking at how the Glazers work, they are unwilling to do so because of how their contracts are amortised - it affects the accounts, which in turns affects FFP. We cannot buy our way back to success right now, we have seen how it has not worked for us. We need to be smart about who we buy and how we buy. The ownership needs to stop looking at marketable signings and start looking at market conscious signings.
The downgrade from Herrera to mctominay and Fred almost made me cry which is why i dont understand why we still play him, mainoo, casemiro and bruno need to be our midfield and Amad rw
As a Frenchman, I have some information that may interest Man U fans 1) Radcliffe at his club in France, in Nice, it's... pfff. Ok, he didn't put a lot of money into a club which is anyway a lot less rich than Paris, Lyon, Marseille... but it's not as if the club worked better than the others. This season it's finally working, but the years before, without being bad, it wasn't incredible either, especially since the club was already regularly European before him. 2) Not long ago, I saw an interview with a French recruiter from Man U, who said that the club was one of the most professional in the world in this area. But he spoke of Hannibal Majri, saying "there were plenty of others on it, but many were frightened by his 'aggressive' mentality. But for us, that's precisely what we're looking for." I wonder if Man U is not too “old-fashioned” in its search for players, on a mental level. As if we could have a Roy Keane today.
If the manager is to be given time, the same goes for players as well. We had Weghorst, Fred, Sabitzer, Sancho, Van de beek, Amad Diallo, and many more who were potentials to boost the main squad, if not as substitutes. We even had De Gea, who's shot stopping has carried us for years. Weghorst was giving us wins by just being in the striker position, yet many still complain about his goal scoring. We had the players, but had our eyes in envy of Man City focusing on the players they had, instead of the ones who stuck with us. Give them time, and train them well, thats the duty of the manager. And if all goes down, the captain goes down with the ship
I think Rashford is the biggest problem, he's as much a problem as Ronaldo was, if he plays we can't play to a system. I actually think Rashford believes that the team should all play for him like barca did and Argentina do for Messi 😂 and that he should conserve his energy just on attack, he actually thinks hes at ronaldo level and constantly talking to press and getting his agent to speak to the club. He needs to go and under Ferguson would have years ago!!
NBA teams understand they need to enter a rebuilding phase when things aren't working out. They might trade star players for lottery draft picks and generally understand they are in a re-structuring mode. I wish United fans just understand this. We are barely a mid-table team. The expectations of the fans in my opinion is hampering the teams development. It seems the board are beginning to realize this, Ragnick also made similar comments. The squad needs a re-shape. We should work on building academy players while buying quality players that would actually make a difference. I think Ten hag is a very solid coach, you have to admit that Ajax is a much different club to Man Utd and I might be wrong, but he's still relatively inexperienced as a coach. He seems to be think long term and that's what the club needs right now, long term planning. By the way, it's good we are out of European football, we should not have been there in the first place. ❤
Sancho recieves 5 year contract, 450k a week at ManU. Sancho: "Yes, now i can retire! That's like the mentality of half the ManU team, and you wonder why they play like crap.
Love your take on the team I agree all of the points you made. It’s just sad for Hojlund that only player who feed the ball to him is Bruno, Garnacho shoots the ball mostly and currently not capable of dribbling past defenders to create. Antony great work rate but doesn’t create chances and passes the ball backwards Rashford can beat defense with his dribbles but chooses to shoot more than pass If Erikson plays, I believe Hojlund will score more, but Erikson is not defensively effective Back when we had a poacher like Van Nistelrooy he had Beckham, Giggs, Scholes to feed him the ball. I think that the current United team need to be disciplined to know when to pass the ball when to shoot
Ten Hag is not it, I don't think he is the worst problem at the club but his lack of attacking tactical structure is why united rely on long balls, blame Ole for not making a system that worked with CR7 but he had a system where he had 5 players with a more than 15 goal contributions and rashford having 36 and bruno with 46, 13 being pens. He has good players we see that, he signed anthony and his refusal to drop him led to a fall out with sancho. He is a problem, but the the only one.
We all know the Owners haven't been good for the club but they've given the fans money to previous managers, EtH has wasted over £150-200M already on signings, that cost at least 3-5 players short from where we should be so EtH has to take the blame for that but there's room for improvement with the addition of SJR by offloading Arnold & Murtough who has overstayed their welcome already is a sign to send us in right direction! EtH is talking Rubbish when it concerns the January's transfer window cos we want at least 5 players 2CD, 2CM & 10 and release 5 players e.g. Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Williams, Bruno, Mount, VDB, Antony, Greenwood & Sancho. WanBa Not for Sale!
Dont forget that even for Sir Alex took 7 years to win his first PL title for UTD. They also had a period like this from 67 to 93 without a PL title and struggle, Ten Hag definitely needs to stay he has a huge potential and with the right players he can do a better job at UTD, u cant blame him cause he has to defend with Maguire and Evans and about Onana he is a great GK its just hard for him cause at Inter he never had such a pressure and instability from his center backs and he is not used to this pressure. They need to give more time to a manager and Ten Hag needs to be that manager, they cant change the managers like socks.
Hats off to Maguire, but you know things are bad for us when he’s been one of our most consistent players this season and his absence is going to be real noticeable moving forward lol.
Hey man,.you are simply, excellent in what you do here! Highly entertaining! It'll get better at Man United! I understand that it will take quite some time. Another 10 years should do it. Just as long as it doesn't take 30! Cheers!
I think fired Ten Hag could be a huge mistake Like, the same Arsenal ALMOST did by firing Arteta when results were poor. TH is one of the best coach in the World, Man U is just in a infinite cycles of rebuilding since 10 years... They need a true long term path, to follow, no matter what
Ideal starting 11 for us. De Gea Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw Casemiro Mainoo Bruno Sancho(in form) Antony CR7 this team would have been interesting honestly. But injuries and fall ofs were horrible for us. Bad luck is a factor ngl. We have our core players injured. Liverpool struggled as well without key players. City without Kdb and Rodri are bellow Arsenal honestly. Arsenal without Saliba fell of a cliff. Brighton after mass sellings fell off. There is no team immune to injuries when it comes to CDM and CB They are the engine of the team. Not the strikers like people believe
Hey man this is good analyze of the team. I am big Man United fan and become one since Cantona playing for the first season. ETH must stay but the players are not dedicated to the team and have to be gone. After all Alex Ferguson won his first trophy after six years.
David Moyes - Ryan Giggs - Louis van Gaal - Jose Mourinho - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Michael Carrick - Ralf Rangnick - Erik ten Hag - 8 managers since Sir Alex. Once they get rid of CR7, Man U will solve their problems since CR7 is the locker room problem.
As a life long United fan, I can honestly say that I currently almost can't even be bothered to watch any of our games. This damn is so confusing and so poorly run that it's laughable. There used to be a time when I actually cared, but I didn't think there would come a time where I actually wouldn't. That time has come.
I won’t fully judge this team until Licha and Case are back on the pitch. They’re the backbone of this team. When Case was out last year we couldn’t win a game.
But, strange enough, i don't see too many slander directed to Sancho. I remembered Nicolas Pepe always considered the biggest flop, but to be fair, Sancho is not much better (if not worst). At least Pepe lead Arsenal to FA Cup glory and end that season as club's top scorer

Keep it in the family!
I think the most fair criticism I've heard of ETH is that he doesn't know how to manage superstars. He's fallen out with Ronaldo, mismanaged De Gea, and also fallen out with Casemiro and Varane. It seems like his comfort zone is dealing with youth and yes men. Mourinho famously once said that as a manager u need to accept that some players are so good that they u can't teach them football so u need a different approach to them. I think that's where ETH fails.

And Rashford has the same cycle as well It s incredible
@@Hypocrisy.Allergicyeah he’ll probably get 15+ league goals next season to get people excited again

I think it tells you everything you need to know
And don't even get me started on how many "survivors" from Jose and Ole's tenures are still there
@@zosiazaremba7479 Exactly, they should've been sent packing years ago
And how many managers has Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid and so had over the last few years where they've been successful?
Man United never backed the manager under Van Gaal or Mourinho, and the terrible players like Rashford, Shaw or Pogba won.
Then to appease the players our useless board appoints two absolute clowns in Ole and ten Hag.
The worst part? They backed ten Hag with his signings and departures (Ronaldo) but not Mourinho or Van Gaal.
Signings which by the way include:
-Not one, but 2 strikers who have 0 PL goals combined in two seasons
-92 year old Johnny Evans
-Fidget spinner
-5'4 injury prone CB
And the cherry on top is that awful idiots like Martial, Rashford, Shaw, Bruno are still at this club after countless embarassments and failures but our puppet manager is hell bent on keeping them at the club.

From latest adjustments in various clubs (Barcelona, Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham etc) some things are somehow constant:
1) You don't necessarily need to change a manager (Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool)
2) You need a certain level of purge (Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea) Chelsea failed here because the purging was ridiculously too much in a short duration!
5) Release unhappy players/players who don't want to stay (Real Madrid's Benzeama, Chelsea's Kante, Mendy, Arsenal's Lacazette, Granit Xhaka, Mancity's Cole Palmer, Jesus, Zinchenko, Cancelo, Liverpool's Minimano, Firmino)
I've already explained why Chelsea is failing: Sudden overhaul of virtually all players and manager!
Great breakdown!
The difference is Club culture. Some of the clubs you mentioned here are result orientated clubs, not long term project club.

I am not a man united fan but do watch a lot of their games. After watching Anthony at Ajax, I was excited to get to see him in the EPL, but since he's arrived, I am just wondering what made me like him so much. That can be said for a lot of the players here but I enjoy the anger this raises.

He need his therapy video.

Onana has always had a kind of risk factor to him. It was noticeable at my club Ajax. But damn, is it really showing this season. Still though, he’s a quality keeper. We’ve seen plenty of evidence of that.
You are just experiencing what Manchester United was like before Sir Alex Ferguson got the house back in order. He is irreplaceable.
We don't buy players to win like Real does"
And then watching how far United has fallen in the last decade plus while spending absurd amounts of money and Real has won 5 more CL with a midfield that was bought for less than €100m (Kroos, Modric, Casemiro) has brought so much happiness to my life. Not to mention the deathspiral Barça is in financially, which I'm so glad that they have "the best youth academy of all time".
It goes to show you just how difficult the world of club football actually is, and just how impressive what Real Madrid does is.
3 options are:
Replace every player.
Replace the manager.
Continue the way things are.
Whether you think it’s unwise to replace Ten Hag. It is the only realistic option.
I love how the Google voice recogntion put "Tinheart" in the subtitles for Ten Hag!
Firing ETH is like changing a steering wheel of a car that has worn out tires, a busted engine, a damaged gearbox and a leaking oil tank.
The thing is, pre injuries and match bans, ange came in and shook up the league, set a new standard for managers coming in, with emre and de zerbi taking the league by storm at times, however too, and arteta has done well, 3 years ago the only quality managers with quality sides were klopp and pep, things are changing and united have to keep up
I've only been following you and football for about a year now, and I can say this is the funniest title
I really enjoy watching your videos. Cheers mate, hope your channel keeps growing
I just want to say merry Christmas dude, and thanks for the content

We were leading in three games (2-1, 2-0, 2-0) in the CL and one got one… ONE point out of them. Unbelievable 😂
I feel like you need a bro hug... Bring it in, man
Really love your selection of lofi background music :)

How do you delete other people’s comments?

As a Frenchman, I have some information that may interest Man U fans
1) Radcliffe at his club in France, in Nice, it's...
Can’t wait till he makes a vid on villa v united what a game
I think Rashford is the biggest problem, he's as much a problem as Ronaldo was, if he plays we can't play to a system. I actually think Rashford believes that the team should all play for him like barca did and Argentina do for Messi 😂 and that he should conserve his energy just on attack, he actually thinks hes at ronaldo level and constantly talking to press and getting his agent to speak to the club. He needs to go and under Ferguson would have years ago!!
Ronaldo at least scores and does his job
We are all getting to this stage my friend
Loved this!! Honestly that's how I feel!
5:10 That's wild.
That athletic article finished me, shows why managers don't succeed in mam utd
Ive followed united fairly close for the last couple of years. I can totally both sides of the reaction to the Liverpool game
Love your take on the team I agree all of the points you made.
It’s just sad for Hojlund that only player who feed the ball to him is Bruno,
Garnacho shoots the ball mostly and currently not capable of dribbling past defenders to create.
Antony great work rate but doesn’t create chances and passes the ball backwards
Rashford can beat defense with his dribbles but chooses to shoot more than pass
If Erikson plays, I believe Hojlund will score more, but Erikson is not defensively effective
Back when we had a poacher like Van Nistelrooy he had Beckham, Giggs, Scholes to feed him the ball.
I think that the current United team need to be disciplined to know when to pass the ball when to shoot
15:58 this guy is a gem
As a United fan I agree with everything you touched on. Well said mate
I love your videos. Football Iconic! Hope you will have a good christmas and new year!
I saw the upload and said “here we go!”
That video of Davido with a cigar 😂😂😂 Martial at it
you were very generous to anthony
Nowadays As a man utd fan i feel bit recovered when i heard the name Chelsea
Tinashe unogara kupi tikutengere hwahwa🍻😅😅
Hey man,.you are simply, excellent in what you do here! Highly entertaining! It'll get better at Man United! I understand that it will take quite some time. Another 10 years should do it. Just as long as it doesn't take 30! Cheers!
i haven't watched a live united game for more than a year now
well made video, enjoyed it dude
I think fired Ten Hag could be a huge mistake
Like, the same Arsenal ALMOST did by firing Arteta when results were poor.
TH is one of the best coach in the World, Man U is just in a infinite cycles of rebuilding since 10 years... They need a true long term path, to follow, no matter what
Ideal starting 11 for us.
De Gea
Dalot
Varane
Martinez
Shaw
Casemiro
Mainoo
Bruno
Sancho(in form)
Antony
CR7
this team would have been interesting honestly. There is no team immune to injuries when it comes to CDM and CB
They are the engine of the team. Not the strikers like people believe
In my opinions, they already confusing since Glazers take control.
Just tell Scott McTominay that you're playing for Scotland everytime he plays for Man Utd. He'll channel his inner R9 and boom
Hey man this is good analyze of the team. I am big Man United fan and become one since Cantona playing for the first season. ETH must stay but the players are not dedicated to the team and have to be gone. After all Alex Ferguson won his first trophy after six years.
love all the vids but i really like your ones on man u. quality, nuanced takes, most level headed content creator lol ❤
1:48 Football kits look best after you've played in them for years.
I won’t fully judge this team until Licha and Case are back on the pitch. They’re the backbone of this team. When Case was out last year we couldn’t win a game.
We had them in fiirst 5 games this season and were still CR^P!
So sad to see Sancho's downfall. One of the most promising English young talent ended up like this..
But, strange enough, i don't see too many slander directed to Sancho. I remembered Nicolas Pepe always considered the biggest flop, but to be fair, Sancho is not much better (if not worst). At least Pepe lead Arsenal to FA Cup glory and end that season as club's top scorer
@@muhammadrizkyprasetyo6797talent makes 5% of your success as footballer the rest lies on hardwork and dedication. We have known so many talented young players waste their career bcause their didnt want to work hard or didnt have dedication to be a pro. Sancho has only got himself to blamed.
@@harukrentz435 certainly. But surely man UTD recruitment team would have known Sancho's attitude and work rate before splashing big money to sign him, right?
The next few games will determine if EtH has a future at our Club. EtH has to earn the right to be our Manager cos right now his messing Up, so there's room for improvement!
If Eric Ten Hag gets the PUSH cos he's a Man City fan, helping the opposition & sabotage what he has built at our Club then bring back Ole Gunnar Solskjear with his new Management (3 Wise Men)!
Great video man, wish we could talk about something good about utd in a 21 min video, i guess the best thing is Evans after all..
