This is too slow for my band! This is definitely our best pep band song and we play way faster than that. I’m happy I found this song as I’m collecting songs my band has ever played
I will never get sick of palying this song, we're playing it in marching band and as a clarinet I don't get many cool parts but I adore playing it soooo much
One time at a football game, my marching band was playing 1:36 while one of our players ran down nearly the entire field and got a touchdown, absolutely magical
As a trombone player we always try to blast it as loud as we can put of spite of our instructor saying “not enough energy” it’s a habit I haven’t broken to this day.
love this because the color guard actually gets a sound part at the beginning that no one expects. after the low brass say ALL ABOARD we scream AYE AYE AYE
We played this in marching band and we had so much fun. You had the percussionist dancing and beating on the drums. You had the low brass playing out for once. We had so much fun that year.
just got it for this years marching season and our band is so pumped to play it even while just practicing we've done everything you just described and its already a blast
We played this is middle school and we had two 8th grade bands and we did the "all aboard" and "I, I, i" thing. But the kid who was supposed to say "all aboard" and laugh was in the other class and my teacher never told our class we were doing it. So like two days before the concert when we all played together and the ex-clarinet, now percussionist, high on puberty, screamed "ALLLL ABOARRD AH HA HA" all of our jaws dropped and we had to restart
For my high school band I play pit and we hold our cymbals like hi hats for the snares and they hit the Cymbals and it sounds sorta like a train engine going “chuggachugga” it’s really fun. We sometimes wave at the other teams band with our phone lights and they wave back. This is why I love band it’s so cool and everybody, even the other teams band, is super sweet.
Any tuba, alto, Bari, tenor sax,Tubax, Trumpet in Bb,euphonium/baritone players out there? or is it just me Edit: Today is the ninth of May 2020, I have now increased to playing vibraphone and marimba for indoor ensemble as well as auxiliary. And sousaphone for outdoor, now I'm doing colorguard for the first time as a junior next school year :)
I'm playing this for my band because we're playing this at the football game. When we first played this a bunch of kids yelled " I, I " and I didnt get the reference lol. But then so many people were getting wrong notes so the director said " By the way we cant say " I, I " until we get all the notes right " 😂
Ever since quarantine started I have been using this song to practice for pep music. But now I am playing in 1.5 speed just to give it a little bit of a challenge and it’s really fun you guys should try.
Were playing this for my high school and we start at the beginning to 13 but the woodwinds don't play until 47 and I love it. 47 is the best part of the song I think. But I play clarinet.
Played this today, for the 5th graders, four times. >:( During the trumpets section song, this song, we all scream “I, I, I!”. I don’t know what it even means. 😂
We were at the football feild doing nothing so me and my group of band friends decided to play this it was amamzing lemme tell you our band director was. So impressed he put us in honors band
Just played a version of crazy train at a school concert and the conductor said “ALL ABOARD” at the beginning and everyone yelled “aye aye aye” very cool
this brings me right back to marching season football games. i would sit in the stands with my section leader (two person clarinet section) and i would just wait for this song :) i’m so excited for next season :)
also one time while we were playing this song one of our tenor sax players was playing the beginning part and he switched to the next measure too early 😭 it was so funny
My marching band has a drum cadence that is Crazy Train. Bells play insane part. It’s been around since at the very latest 2003 when my uncle was in high school. Back then, it was called “Halloween” or something of that nature, but now it’s just “Crazy Train”. We do say “AYE AYE AYE”
My favorite parts of this song from our marching band is the snares playing on the cymbals and the tenor 16th notes at 1:10. It sounds so cool in person.
My band played this for our spring concert last year. We also played Cool Kids by Echosmith and September by Earth Wind And Fire. The theme for it was "our year in review". We started with September, then it was Crazy Train, then it was Cool Kids. I played Bass Clarinet for it.
We played this and the people at the football game said “EYE EYE EYE” at the beginning, I loved it.
So does my school
We did it ourselves while playing it
our marching band does that too!
same
we do that too lmao!
I feel like this sounds so much better in person.
Max Adam o
Maria - it does because it sounds good when the tubas actually blast it for the one time
It might but my band can't play it well, so I've never heard it in person.
The pep band at my school plays this as one of their songs and they're amazing. Too bad i'm stuck as a cowbell player
This is too slow for my band! This is definitely our best pep band song and we play way faster than that. I’m happy I found this song as I’m collecting songs my band has ever played
Oh god, you should hear one of our band members scream “All aboard!” and laugh like he’s insane. It’s SO C O O L.
OH CRAP
I'VE BEEN EXPOSED
Kaleb Green it's not u, but you're welcome.
i do that too :D
@Jaylen Jordan yes
That’s my job in my band
Imagining the tambourine in the background just having the time of his life.
our tambourine player walks around and through us vibin with his tambourine
Honestly you’re not wrong
Yea that’s how it is when you play an auxiliary part in band.
We played this in our homecoming parade and also in our half time show. It’s so fun to play for no reason at all.
100% agreed
It’s because it plays a wide octave range, dynamic range, and the voice moves around. It’s a extremely well put together piece of music
That riff is badass enough on guitar, but even better on trombone!
0:57 is probably my favorite part its SO GOOD
Yep same here
Yup
Yea
yassssss!!!
Counterpoints on point 🔥
I will never get sick of palying this song, we're playing it in marching band and as a clarinet I don't get many cool parts but I adore playing it soooo much
Playing clarinet in hs was so much better than 2-8. Same stupid songs every year. I can still play Rockin Robin by heart.
Even though I'm a woodwind (clarinet) I'm just glad that some of the low brass section gets something more than long whole notes
As a trombonist, your concern for our boring ass parts is much appreciated
@@thebeaniestbeanboys5735 some of our parts are awsome though
@@thebeaniestbeanboys5735 for real this is our “low brass feature” its sick asf 😩🥵❤️🤞
It’s always the flute or trumpets getting the melody 😢😢
We played this at a basketball game and out of nowhere every one shouts eye eye eye! And we never practiced it that way lol. It was so amazing
no one:
literally no one:
all four of our saxes in unison: *casually blasting the sax solo*
Yes I play tenor sax and it is so fun
Yesss
For our pep band we say "I, I, I" in the 2nd measure and "Wooooooo" in the 4th measure
REliGioN
same!!!
It’s just so necessary!
Am I the only one who immediately listens for the cadence after the playing is complete from marching?
I have to play the Cadence and it’s hard to do the cadence before and after because I’m worried about the other song 😂
What is the cadence called
One time at a football game, my marching band was playing 1:36 while one of our players ran down nearly the entire field and got a touchdown, absolutely magical
I played this for my concert and the audiences loved so much that they actually wanted us to play it again!
Thanks crazy train
I play the mellophone and that rip at the beginning is so fun to play
I'm with you there 😁
That trill is so high but really fun to play
I wish we played this arrangement we have a shorty of this
As a trombone player we always try to blast it as loud as we can put of spite of our instructor saying “not enough energy” it’s a habit I haven’t broken to this day.

the person who screams "ALL ABOOAAAAARD HAHAHAHAHA!" does it so amazingly like the way the person does the laugh is so spot on
Me: oh shoot, I forgot to take the repeat on crazy train, I bet nobody has ever made that mistake
Literally the people who made the music: Observe
LMAO
Crazy train was a part of our marching show this year fittingly called “off the rails”
We are playing this next year for marching band! Can't wait to find if I'm playing baritone, tuba, or trumpet! :D
how do you not know?????????????????????????????
Literally I’m so confused
whatd you end up playing
I’m trumpet!
Not that this comment was 9 years ago 😭
I had played this in jazz band 2024 8th grade and we went to the capital of Nebraska to play this song, our teacher had us do the AYE AYE AYE too.
This is probably one of my favorite pep songs to play
Any tuba, alto, Bari, tenor sax,Tubax, Trumpet in Bb,euphonium/baritone players out there? or is it just me

I am alto saxophone.
Tenor Sax and Baritone here man
THE MAJESTIC NEON DIAMOND I am a baritone sax player
THE MAJESTIC NEON DIAMOND only alto 😔
Tuba
I think that this is the only band arrangement on TH-cam with over 1 million views.
Like if this is your favorite song to play in marching band!
we do this for pep band but yes, it is amazing
Cole Stecher I’m in middle school so we don’t have a pep band. But i am sorry I didn’t mention the pep band people! 😅😅
@@sayornis I should have considered that. sorry. 😅
Cole Stecher no problem! 🙂
7 nation army has like 7 mil
I played this at my concert a couple days ago it was so fun
"ALL ABOARD!"
*music start*
"I I I"
"Tsssssss"
"Choo Choo!"
Bro I can't believe it's been this long
1:36 always gives me goosebumps whenever I play it, I don't know why tho
OH MY GOSH YESS
Okay but I always LOVE busting out that quad part at 1:22 whenever we play this. Easily my favorite part of the song
We played this rendition, it was pretty cool. I loved my flute parts
Tip for every nonflute out there, never underestimate the flutes. That little spiky ridge, it can cut deep enough to leave scars
This is one of my favorite songs to play for pep band.
We would play this at football games and parades all the time. Flute Gang, where you at?
Flute gang checking in ✅
I have arrived
Aww yis!!!
we played this song in marching and loved it!!

HAPPY FIESTA!!!!
Filipino Marching Bands Play This Every Fiestas
no playing the intro with a vibra slap is pretty much as bad as not starting it with an "ALL ABOARD", "HA HA HA"
lol when we played it we started with an ALL ABOARD
we have a kid who starts the song off with the "ALL ABOARD HA HA HA HA HA!"
it's awesome and probably my fav part of pep band honestly.
exactly haha
I play the vibra slap sksk
Played this in 7th grade and loved it.

Me encanta en trombón. Exquisita...
This is my favorite pep band song to play!
our band does the sound effects to this song!
I remember this song from some where
Anyone do two instruments in band? I do Clarinet and Alto Sax, I know there has to be a couple of my fellow wood wind duos ;)
SilentNight 258 me flute and clarinet
SilentNight 258 so do i!!!!
my girlfriend play alto saxophone and the tenor sax
Tuba and trombone (its not woodwinds but theyre two instruments)
I play clarinet and baritone (I know they aren’t two wood winds but still)
I just played this it was so good I just had to listen to it again
WHERE WAS THE “I! I! I!”
Were playing this for my high school and we start at the beginning to 13 but the woodwinds don't play until 47 and I love it. 47 is the best part of the song I think. But I play clarinet.
Just played this for the first time in band as a freshman (they play it every year) and I was very confused playing the tambourine.
1st trumpet as a 7th grader is awesome
Played this today, for the 5th graders, four times. >:( During the trumpets section song, this song, we all scream “I, I, I!”. I don’t know what it even means. 😂
They do that in the actual song
My friend type in crazy train lyrics
Ughhh this is literally my favorite song to play.....as a Trumpet player ofc!
Trumpet on top
Nah bro imagine playing trumpet trombones carry the low bass 😎

0:02 - 0:09 my high school repeats for the basketball game
Putting it at x1.25 speed makes it sound so much more cheerful, somehow.
I accidentally put it at x0.25 speed instead of x1.25 and it felt like the audio equivalent of a cursed image
Just played a version of crazy train at a school concert and the conductor said “ALL ABOARD” at the beginning and everyone yelled “aye aye aye” very cool
música linda 😍😍😍 música da minha banda 😍😍😍😍 B.M.P.H.B

Any Euphoniums out there because we have the fun part

I switched to tuba like the day before we got this piece and I regret it deeply
+Dataint Falco lol I play tuba and baritone
Ha Dataint
+Dataint Falco What you don't is that your band director planned that.
Playing this at 2x speed and hearing the low brass at the beginning is insane
Sax and Drummer right here lol!!! but I'm from South-Africa and we don't do awesome things like this....... 😭
*The Klopse would like to know your location*
JK they've gone a bit bad in recent years...
My band plays this when our team loses 🫥 It’s still fun though
Question, what program do you guys use as audio samples to go along with the visuals?
These aren't samples. They are recorded in a studio with live musicians.
That would explain why all your recordings sound so amazing
