I was on 2 flights a few weeks back and the wifi was perfect and free everytime. This just makes me appreciate how non shitty our domestic airlines are. Hearing about americans talk about airplanes makes me genuinly fear for my life

Quantas and jetstar are owned by the same company, quantas has free wifi that works just fine all flight, and I've only ever seen jetstar wifi cost $5 AUD for a whole trip. (Which is less in USD) Virgin I'm pretty sure doesn't do wifi but the overall quality is still better then what I heard about spirit Airlines etc.

Virgin airlines Australia was pretty good with their wifi. honestly, it was very good. It was free, no ads while connecting and a smooth connection process in general, I was able to watch an entire stream vod at 1080p with hardly any buffering. Really nice experience overall 9/10
Years of flying on planes has taught me to always download movies/ music before I get on the flight, or be unblievably tired before I get on so I sleep through it
I feel the same way about traveling internationally and trying to use your phone. Everything is entirely arbitrary. We have come so far technologically yet the companies that control this shit still want you disconnected from the rest of the world. You gotta step on eggshells if you don’t want to end up charged outrageously.
This is why you download music and videos before the flight so that you can watch/listen to it the whole time. Although, I understand that some people need to use "The Internet" or Insta/Twitter. Thats why I hate the entire flight system. it sucks, its always too hot or too cold, there's always a toddler crying two rows back or someone kicking your chair, and every time you try to fall asleep your head falls forward and wakes you up. Also, even if you do fall asleep by the time you wake up your covered in sweat, drool and your confused to where you even are for a good 10 seconds.

jetBlue seems to be the only airline with passable WiFi; I flew to the UK from NY this past week, and although it dropped a fair amount, I was still able to use streaming services like HBO Max without too much issue. I feel your pain here with every other airline though.

the reason why the free version could load what time you had left is likely cause it gets stored on the network you're on; the plane's network. basically: your phone get identified on a website that isn't hosted on its own and the site tells you how much time you have left. it can load it just fine since thr resources are RIGHT THERE

AA really needs to get their shit together. People lose their jobs over this stuff and assignments don’t get turned in over these war crimes.

Flew about 4 times a year since 2018. So true. Like This stuff is inconsistent, and if you want your money back? You need to call them or go to customer support. How am I supposed to do that with no Wi-Fi? I've had some good experiences with the Wi-Fi, don't get me wrong. But it just really doesn't work half the time. My advice: Try and see if you can download a movie on your mobile device with your home Wi-Fi (Airport Wi-Fi kinda sucks too) before you get on the flight.
This is why I save a shit ton of videos on my phone. So that if I’m ever stuck on a flight, I will have plenty of music and videos to watch while I am there. Now my main concern is just not letting a die on the flight-

Hi Schlatt!, Hi Everyone!, it was a stressful hour for me, my family and the people in my neighborhood. There was a fire and it gotten so big. Luckily the fire department arrived. They put out the fire and no one was hurt. So far I’m keeping awake, watching your video. I keep watch if there may be a fire incase another may start. I’m grateful for the right opportunity you posted your video. It comforted me and made me at ease. Thank you Schlatt!
Update: The fire has been putted out. Sadly, one family don’t have a house anymore. Me and my family are trying to help in anyway we can and they starting to rebuild their house.

Flew about 4 times a year since 2018. So true. Like This stuff is inconsistent, and if you want your money back? You need to call them or go to customer support. How am I supposed to do that with no Wi-Fi? I've had some good experiences with the Wi-Fi, don't get me wrong. But it just really doesn't work half the time. My advice: Try and see if you can download a movie on your mobile device with your home Wi-Fi (Airport Wi-Fi kinda sucks too) before you get on the flight.
