I just don't believe that Tech is actually dead, especially the way Hemlocke had the goggles. I'm sure they found the rest of him and are going to use him for experiments as well. Hemlocke only used the goggles to make Hunter surrender and feel bad!
1) you don’t survive that fall. BUT, perhaps an imperial ship swooped in and caught him. 2) Phee may have been there and caught him. Maybe she followed them in secret
I loved the "twist" with Emerie at the end, mostly cuz I called it like the second episode she appeared in. At first I was like "oh cool, pretty doctor lady" and then I listened to her speak again and recognized the accent, plus a couple of other details lined up.
A lot of people think tech may survived but I don’t see it. The whole episode is called plan 99 which means sacrificing yourself to save your brothers. And just the whole emotional moments with omega, wrecker, and hunter makes it feel like he really is. RIP Tech. Yet another one of the saddest Star Wars deaths
For what it's worth I agree. When Echo left it didn't seem like that big a deal because there's so much overlap between Echo and Tech's skill sets. Echo could easily step into Tech's shoes. And if Crosshair comes back you're still going to have the same number of Batchers as always.
@@stephenderry9488 Yeah Echo and Tech's skillset have always been pretty similar, plus they had the stuff with Tech showing Omega how to fly the ship so wouldn't surprise me if she takes over as their main pilot at some point. Crosshair is definitely joining back up with them now though i'd imagine. Echo will probably stay with Hunter and Wrecker until they recover Omega.
Tech is most likely alive. A golden rule, especially in Star Wars, is that no one is dead unless you see the body. He either got saved by the empire to experiment on or he had some sort of way of lightening the fall.
There is no way of "lightening the impact" of falling down few thousand meters. And do you seriously want yet another fake-out death? This fanbase is really hopeless

How is crosshair setting a trap he's been branded a traitor and now is being tortured and experimented on not to mention the fact that he sent a warning to let them know that there being hunted

How good were these two episodes! Bad batch has stepped up its game in a big way! Gutted for tech! Omega really starting to shine. Tarkin and Krennic was fantastic!!!!! Saw Gurerra was an unexpected suprise with dire consequences!
@@file_boi020 when the imperials had them at gunpoint, if I had been Hunter, I would have said "don't fire when I do this. I'm not aiming at you and I will go willingly" and I would have shot Cid in the face. The imperial would have just laughed and picked up his money. He didn't care about her.
"a clone commando drops..." mh... i honestly think Scorch will play a major role in season 3 cause there wouldn't be no other reason to give him so much screen time. I hope to see the whole delta squad back.
I feel like in the episode when Hunter said "he made a sacrifice, and we're not going to waste it" it was the writers subtly saying that they're taking his death serious, and that we'll see the effects of that sacrifice on the squad going forward. Especially if s3 explores the relationship between Crosshair and Omega
I really want to believe Tech is dead, because that would mean his sacrifice to allow his brothers and Omega to escape was a very good send off to his character. But knowing Disney, they always cop out on characters deaths and that becomes a really big problem.
@@Avalanchetdeloki2 by repeating the same exact storyline used for Echo? Let the character rest instead of destroying any semblance of consequence in the show.
@@Avalanchetdeloki2 I would. I love Tech, he was the best character this season for sure, and I think his sacrifice is a great ending for his character.
Tech "died" the same way that Bucky Barnes does in Captain America. He will probably come back, but maybe brainwashed into a Winter Solider type of opponent.
Good point about Tech's goggles, if Hemlocke got ahold of those then he definitely came across Tech's body so I would hang on to the fact that Tech is still around. Pretty good finale to the season, making it an exciting cliff hanger to S3
I really hate Gerrera after this finale. RIP Tech. 6:00 Uhh, that’s not how it happened. He died in Season 3 Episode 2 “Arc Troopers”. As the droids were attacking on Kamino, 99 died trying to get more grenades for Rex and Cody.
There's a kind of link to Andor here and a Guerrera arc. In Bad Batch younger Saw is unwilling to cancel a mission to gather intelligence, he just wants to kill the high ranking officers. In Andor, older Saw actually agrees to send assets to their deaths rather than risk exposing useful intelligence. There isn't much overlap between BB and Andor (though you could say Krennic is an Andor-adjacent character) so it's nice when the different Star Wars writers join stuff together.
I don't think we'll ever see Cid again. If she even tries to contact the BB, Wrecker is going to want to skin Cid alive for what she did. So, she's pretty much done for and she's definitely a character I hate now. The new walker designs look awesome too. For something that looks like an early version of the AT-ST it looks great. It also hurt to see Scorch be the one to bring Omega down since he's my favorite Delta Squad member. Overall, a great season finale and the next season has a lot of hype going for it. Hopefully, it lives up to it.
@@coruscant100 I think they had one too, but the AT-PT appeared in the N64 game Rogue Squadron. It's a smaller walker, a bit more crude and squared than the AT-ST. Bad Batch showed this walker as being curved which is where I become.. hesitant with my answer, but the AT-PT was the predecessor to the AT-ST and the successor to the AT-RT so from a canonical point, it fits.
That second to last episode was quite emotional for me... That episode with 99 was my first ever Clone Wars (and Star Wars) episode back when I was like 9.
I like the theory that Tech will be one of the first Dark Troopers. Definitely the right era, you've got the human-kaminoan scientists with secret labs just like how Pershing knew (and probably helped create) the Dark Troopers in Mando s2. Dark Troopers were created with the brains of talented clone troopers; it would be a very dramatic outcome for TBB to fight their brother turned droid.
I personally think he might be alive. When doctor Hemlock showed his shattered goggles, I right away thought that they might have his body somewhere safe. "It is also possible Hemlock is lying, given he is using decommissioned clones for his own research."
After seeing the googles i immediately knew that they were hinting at his return. I honestly think this would be a mistake, while Tech’s arc was rushed, it would really diminish the weight of his death if they revived him. Not only is it better story telling, it teaches a more important lesson to younger viewers.
Why is it that Saw always talks about sacrifice and fight, yet is ALWAYS the problem and never sacrifices his mission?? Never hated him more than this episode. Didn’t even try to come back and help them after he left.
I think this episode was inspired by the 1968 classic WW2 movie ‘Where Eagles Dare’ starring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. Especially with the cable car infiltration of Nazi castle Schlob Adler. Tech’s tragic demise was actually similar to that of one of the double agents. If you haven’t seen it, it’s an absolute classic.
Thought same thing! Even felt I heard some similar musical tones when they were trying to get to the railcars to escape. Like they merged the Bad Batch theme and Where Eagles Dare soundtracks. Loved it!
When a “death” is as ambiguous as Tech’s, they are definitely leaving things open for his return. The fact that Hemlock went through the trouble to even find him says something. I think we will see Tech, again!
Yeah, it gave me Empire strikes back vibes too. However Luke and Leia weren't depressed at the end as much as Hunter, Echo and Wrecker, which makes this finale even more sadder.
I like how the Commando to catch omega was Scortch and how he come up from behind her, he is such a badass every time he shows up because he gives the Bad Batch a run for their money, the bad batch can handle other clone commandos but Scortch is a bit more difficult, shows how powerful and cunning Delta Squad is.
Not to mention when they are escorting omega to the ship I'm pretty sure we got a quick glimpse at Fixer following shortly behind Scortch leaving the question where is boss at the moment but cool to see dave giving us a glimpse into the original concept of imperial commandos which would have been one of the concepts for republic commandos 2 before it was shelved and later canceled
If either Saw or Bad Batch got to do their plan it would of changed ALOT. The way they both interfere with eachother on the mission ruining them both and saving the empire was a cool story.
No if Saw had some common sense and a little patience he could've used his resources in a better way to fight the Empire. His balls to the walls approach has gotten many innocents killed
Man this season went by so fast. It seemed like only a couple weeks ago when I was just waiting and waiting for Season 2 to start with much anticipation and now all of a sudden, it’s over. I honestly don’t know what to say. This was an amazing season, the ending had my grown man ass tearing up, but with everyone saying Tech might not be dead, I really hope that’s the case, even though that would be yet again another case of “conveniently reviving the dead in Star Wars”
Im honestly glad that the show is taking chances by "killing" off the characters. Obviously, Tech isn't dead but it'll be interesting where they're going to go with it
I think the Emperor has more in mind for the cloning program than just a "new host"; he obviously wants to Hemlock to understand and replicate the Zillo beast's scales as armor, but he may also want them as a way to deal with rebellious planets. The previous episode with the Zillo beast showed that it could potentially be dropped onto a planet and while drawing energy off power grids could grow to full adulthood which would make it nearly invincible. I imagine that in the future were going to see the start of the Dark Trooper program, possibly a program to produce completely loyal inquisitors, and also completely loyal Force-sensitives that can use their powers to influence populations, provide additional precognitive capabilities and perhaps assassins.
I remember hearing you talk about Tech dying as a possibility but I woke up this morning to a push notification to watch a video titled "Tech's Death Scene" before I had seen the episode. So that was rather unfortunate I must say
I think Tech is gonna be one of the first if not the first Death Trooper. I feel like Hemlock did find the rest of his body, but I don’t think he found him alive. This is where his messed up side really shows. He… sorta… brings Tech back but in a kinda zombie-like state to where all he can do is what he’s told, the closest a human can get to being a droid without actually being a droid. This would lead to the Bad Batch having to put him down. I honestly hope I’m wrong. As hard as Tech’s death hit me, it hit me because I think he’s actually dead. Bringing him back would ruin that
I agree with most on this regarding Tech. He’s still alive. These 2 episodes where top notch. Drama, surprises, action and loss. Now we have to wait a whole year for season 3.
I feel that from all the problems with s1 and s2, this season left it so open ended with obviously no Pabu in sight and with Cid betraying them, there is pretty much no going back to her unless she redeems herself in a big way. So honestly... I am actually way more excited for s3 of this show because it seems set up to be full of good stuff!
Tech's last words... I felt them so much. Also I think Tech isn't death, or at least he has still some role to play in the Bad Batch. The doctor spend too much time on his gougles. Hunter and Wrecker knew already that Tech was death. They lost already. No matter how good Hunter is, alone he couldn't do anything and Wrecker was captured. So why put more salt in the wound unless its a message for us the viewer? Keep your eyes out
Hunter still had a gun, he needed to get him to back off. He threw the goggles to show Hunter that he'll lose another member of his squad (Wrecker) if he doesn't surrender.
When you were talking about 99 saying he sacrifices himself to raise the alarm, that was heavy, 99 attempts to get more grenades in season 3 episode 2 and is killed by b1 droids
I really liked that some of the generals/admirals(?) at the table with grand mof tarkin stood up to the clones a little bit when they talked about how they would deal with them if they rebel
Tech defo isn't dead imo, the goggles seemed like a decoy and also the dialogue they gave Hunter when talking to Omega, he only ever says "Tech is gone", never "Tech is dead". I think that is a hint from the writers
he had a grapple with him. I’m sure it will be revealed he grappled into something nearby like a branch in a mountainy area and he was left to hang and the sudden jerk is what made him lose his goggles which they found. Tech being dead just doesn’t make sense for Disney. He’s a fan favorite. They’re going to keep him around for 🤑
@@Samuel2oh9 despite the fact that the sheer force of being swung around like that it just having the direction of his mass being reversed like that would shatter his bones and pop his organs.
No body, no death. Plus, the bad guy handing over a character's iconic item to "prove" they died is a cliche. Tech is smart. He'd figure out a way to survive.
Even if he fell into a body of water, that car was gonna crush him. I mean it would be great, but they already pulled this with Echo. I can’t see it happening again.
I think Tech is alive because the writers know that without him, the show ain’t the same. If Crosshairs returns to the team, we’re all gonna feel the same way as the batch, we’ll be happy at first, but then realise they’re still a man down, it won’t be satisfying without tech
Bruh not at all. The instant that character was introduced I knew that she was a female clone like omega. It was so obvious. They look the exact same, and there were many other doctors that look the exact same, so she HAD to be a clone. She and omega had the exact same accent (and as I said earlier they also looked identical), so it was so obvious from the start.
I had wondered why all of the nurses- or doctors- or whatever they technically are -looked the same and when she said that I was like, ohhh, that makes sense.
It's sad that they had to kill off Tech just to make Echo a useful member of the team (that is if they really killed him at all.) Which sucks, because Tech is my favorite of the Bad Batch.
Having autism myself, Tech really resonated with me this season. He showed how people with a different mind perceive the world around them differently. Him bonding with a heartbroken Omega back in the cavern was so honest and warm. And it really is how I feel about the world and relationships. Absolutely outstanding writing and character development. Tech will forever have a special place in my heart
I don't know its kinda Sus that they would search for hours or even days for techs body just to retrieve his glasses. I think that hemlock is trying to destroy hunters morale by showing him them. And everyone knows that in star wars if you don't see there death on screen they are usually still alive. But who knows I could be totally wrong and if so it's absolutely tragic 😢
he had a grapple with him. I’m sure it will be revealed he grappled into something nearby like a branch in a mountainy area and he was left to hang and the sudden jerk is what made him lose his goggles which is the only thing they found.
I wish almost everyone in the so-called Rebellion would just get the HELL OUT OF SAW’s WAY He is keyed in to every Empire move, whether it’s a secret satellite station, transporting kyber crystals and Death Star scientists, building the Death Star on Geonosis, or a top secret meeting of Imperial officers. Saw isn’t likable but he is effective. It wouldn’t have taken 25 years to topple the Empire if other rebels stopped getting in Saw’s way. He’s all over the galaxy from Kashyyyk to Jedha as the Empire’s Most Wanted fugitive and he came super close to taking out Tarkin, Krennic, and Dr. Hemlock all in one
Despite the highs and lows of the show I can’t wait to see S3 of the Bad Batch after that rather dark ending to S2 (I definitely expected something different but I still think it’s a great finale). Tech saving the crew hit harder than I thought it would and I’m hoping to see the Bad Batch reunite again with Crosshair at some point and see how they further explore the cloning and genetic research aspect as well, along with seeing the growth of the Empire and the rebel activity around it during this era/time period.
When Nala Se tells the Doc that what the Emperor wants is impossible - I think what Palps wants is a force-sensitive clone. The Force itself is resisting his efforts.
@@repticare101 Season 2 was great. I agree with the OP. I think season 3 should be able to match this level of quality unless Disney decides to heavily interfere, which I dont think they will.
This show is bringing out just how much is really against the clones! They face enemies on both sides: First there’s the empire but now there’s the rebels too.. they will basically do anything to stop the empire even if it means harming the clones along the way. I wonder what might have happened if the rebel attack had not been led by Saw, maybe they would have tried to work together with the bad batch instead of being selfish and continuing the plan
I agree with your theory that Tek is not dead because firstly he is one of the main characters and has plot armor, secondly if the only thing the doctor found was his goggles, than that means he found no body, which then means that Tek is still alive somewhere on the planet, also if he did have rocket boosters on his backpack then he could have glided down to safety. He most likely left his goggles there to lead the empire to think that he died when he fell but while he actually survived and is roaming the planet, somewhere probably trying to find his squamates, or trying to survive.

I just don't believe that Tech is actually dead, especially the way Hemlocke had the goggles. I'm sure they found the rest of him and are going to use him for experiments as well. Hemlocke only used the goggles to make Hunter surrender and feel bad!
Yess thats what i think also
1) you don’t survive that fall.

@@stephenderry9488 yep. I think all of us knew it was either gonna be echo or tech because of those reasons
Agreed it makes no sense in the plot for him to survive given the build up and development of Tech over this and last season.
What about Tech n Phees budding romance!? 😢
Tech is most likely alive. A golden rule, especially in Star Wars, is that no one is dead unless you see the body. He either got saved by the empire to experiment on or he had some sort of way of lightening the fall.
I really hope not. Star Wars is making death into a joke.
There is no way of "lightening the impact" of falling down few thousand meters. And do you seriously want yet another fake-out death? This fanbase is really hopeless

I disagree , I believe this would be a great twist and Cause a lot more emotion is s3

Tech "died" the same way that Bucky Barnes does in Captain America. He will probably come back, but maybe brainwashed into a Winter Solider type of opponent.
Watching all these stories from all different Star Wars films/shows tie together is glorious
Sal Guerrera was always a dick. He wasn't a part of the Rebel Alliance because he was too unpredictable
Don’t forget “Echo” was a part of that cadet class that 99 saved with Rex and Cody. Loved watching that group “echo, Heavy, 5’s and cutup
I believe the walkers here are the AT-PT.
It's not spot on but the AT-PT hasn't been canon for a while so perhaps it's been redesigned.
@@arkangelgaming35 aren't the AT-AP the Old Republic vehicles that had three legs?
@@coruscant100 I think they had one too, but the AT-PT appeared in the N64 game Rogue Squadron. It's a smaller walker, a bit more crude and squared than the AT-ST. Bad Batch showed this walker as being curved which is where I become.. hesitant with my answer, but the AT-PT was the predecessor to the AT-ST and the successor to the AT-RT so from a canonical point, it fits.
That second to last episode was quite emotional for me... That episode with 99 was my first ever Clone Wars (and Star Wars) episode back when I was like 9.
this episode was truly heartbreaking… but can’t wait for season 3
I like the theory that Tech will be one of the first Dark Troopers. Definitely the right era, you've got the human-kaminoan scientists with secret labs just like how Pershing knew (and probably helped create) the Dark Troopers in Mando s2. Dark Troopers were created with the brains of talented clone troopers; it would be a very dramatic outcome for TBB to fight their brother turned droid.
Tech doesn't have his chip anymore tho so he wouldn't follow order blindley
Perhaps use his DNA to make dark trooper but not Tech himself being one.
@@shadowspringtrap3122 I feel like it would make sense for Crosshair to be the template for the Dark Troopers
I really hope Tech is still alive, this is the perfect example of not knowing how much you love something until its gone..
I like how Season 2 foreshadows Andor by Saw Gerrera's quote "For the greater Good"
Plan 99 was heartbreaking 😢
@@bvraeqvete Dude... Clone Force 99 was specifically NAMED AFTER Janitor Clone 99. They said so in the Clone Wars episode they were introduced in.
Why is it that Saw always talks about sacrifice and fight, yet is ALWAYS the problem and never sacrifices his mission?? Never hated him more than this episode. Didn’t even try to come back and help them after he left.
one of the best episodes by far. RIP Tech
Between mando and BB I'm a little burnt out from the whole cloning plots
I think this episode was inspired by the 1968 classic WW2 movie ‘Where Eagles Dare’ starring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. Especially with the cable car infiltration of Nazi castle Schlob Adler. Tech’s tragic demise was actually similar to that of one of the double agents. If you haven’t seen it, it’s an absolute classic.
It crossed my mind too! Maybe they'll give Cid the same treatment the traitor got in the movie and drop her out of Marauder?
Thought same thing! Even felt I heard some similar musical tones when they were trying to get to the railcars to escape. Like they merged the Bad Batch theme and Where Eagles Dare soundtracks. Loved it!
When a “death” is as ambiguous as Tech’s, they are definitely leaving things open for his return. The fact that Hemlock went through the trouble to even find him says something. I think we will see Tech, again!
The character progression is through the roof. I adore this show, and I can’t wait for season 3.
There's a big typo in the thumbnail - "Breadkown" 😂
This finale felt so much like the end of Empire’s Strike Back. Amazing finale.
I didn't think Tech would die before seeing Crosshair 😢😢
I was really hoping Rex and Cody were going to show up to save the day. It would’ve been so fulfilling ❤
Tbh I didn't like bad batch season 1 much but the second half of season 2 made me fall in love with this show. So great
If either Saw or Bad Batch got to do their plan it would of changed ALOT. The way they both interfere with eachother on the mission ruining them both and saving the empire was a cool story.
No if Saw had some common sense and a little patience he could've used his resources in a better way to fight the Empire. His balls to the walls approach has gotten many innocents killed
RIP Tech what a finale really hope season 3 gets picked up
I really hope Tech isn't dead. That scene was so heart breaking.
And maybe this is paving the way for Starkiller?
I remember hearing you talk about Tech dying as a possibility but I woke up this morning to a push notification to watch a video titled "Tech's Death Scene" before I had seen the episode. So that was rather unfortunate I must say
I had the big cameo in Mandalorian spoiled for me. People really need to give a 24hr grace period on spoilers.
Bringing him back would ruin that
It’s a cHiLdReNs show lol
Yeah that's probably the closest I would actually don't mind to see happening to Tech.
I agree with most on this regarding Tech. He’s still alive. These 2 episodes where top notch. Drama, surprises, action and loss. Now we have to wait a whole year for season 3.
If Clones could fly, then Tech would've done it.
They fly now??
I feel that from all the problems with s1 and s2, this season left it so open ended with obviously no Pabu in sight and with Cid betraying them, there is pretty much no going back to her unless she redeems herself in a big way. So honestly... I am actually way more excited for s3 of this show because it seems set up to be full of good stuff!
Man... Tech's death really hit me
Don't stand under the Sky Train.

I mean we technically didn’t see him die
It's getting so good. Tech is my favorite. Very heart wrenching episode. Can't wait for the next season. Much love! 🧙♂️✌️
Tech is the next winter soldier
When you were talking about 99 saying he sacrifices himself to raise the alarm, that was heavy, 99 attempts to get more grenades in season 3 episode 2 and is killed by b1 droids
I really liked that some of the generals/admirals(?) at the table with grand mof tarkin stood up to the clones a little bit when they talked about how they would deal with them if they rebel
I can't believe Plee will never see Tech again. 😢
it wasn’t a “don’t cheat on me”. it was a “please come back”. and he didn’t. and now i want to cry again.

Omega having a sister was very mind-blowing 🤯
Seems to me, a certain doctor has to give her some answers very soon.
@@ethanweimer-kopf6907 Agreed I figured she was a clone from the start when she was torturing Crosshair
I had wondered why all of the nurses- or doctors- or whatever they technically are -looked the same and when she said that I was like, ohhh, that makes sense.
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!
It's sad that they had to kill off Tech just to make Echo a useful member of the team (that is if they really killed him at all.) Which sucks, because Tech is my favorite of the Bad Batch.

I wish almost everyone in the so-called Rebellion would just get the HELL OUT OF SAW’s WAY
He is keyed in to every Empire move, whether it’s a secret satellite station, transporting kyber crystals and Death Star scientists, building the Death Star on Geonosis, or a top secret meeting of Imperial officers.

I think The Bad Batch stopped to see Cid because Omega and Wrecker badly needed medical attention and that was the closest place to go.
