Does this fish use the same 9 tooth gears to fix the head as normal Billy Basses? I MIGHT be getting one - a friend of mine said that they had a singing fish that had a bunch of phrases and was a bass, and this was the most common one I could think of out of all the basses with phrases, they didn't know if it worked.
Yes, it does use the same pieces, it's just a lot harder to fix since you have to cut around the gills to open him up.

Hello Henry. My Boogie Bass is making this whining sound. I can't tell if it's from the speaker or from the motrs. I forgot to tell you during our last conversation. It happens with or without tape on him. If his head doesn't go up all the way, he begins to whine, until I gently finish putting up his head
The motors are smooth....either that or this is HQ audio
A bit of both! I recorded the audio with the mic positioned right outside the speaker, thus reducing the amount of motor noise heard from the front.

I'm thinking of transfering the electronics of my Boogie Bass into my Billy Bass because the Boogie Bass Skin is on its way out and I want to preserve his audio
How is the skin not even starting to fall apart.
This fish was closed up tightly in a special cardboard box until I bought it. I think the box was part of the original packaging, and the fish was never removed since the year it was manufactured.
It also came with some "bonus features" inside, such as an offer for a free Boogie Bass brass stand and a Boogie Bass music CD.

I have has this on my wall for a long time. Do you know when this was made? Mine still works perfectly. How much do you think this is worth & how rare are they in working condition?
Hello! I'm not very active on my channel anymore, so forgive the delay. Boogie Bass and most other fish like this were made back in 2000. It is rare to find one in as good a condition as this. Most often the skin begins to crack and fall apart - It isn't the same material as most other fish. A fully functional Boogie Bass is also difficult to come by due to the plastic gears wearing out, but it is possible to repair. To some collectors, a Boogie Bass in good shape complete with its original box can fetch anywhere from $50 - $100 online. A somewhat worn out bass could go for $30 +. Hope that helped!

How rare is he?
The actual fish, Boogie Bass, isn't all that hard to find, but it takes patience and lots of searching. I've found two at thrift shops, but that was over a span of 13 years collecting. You'll see them pop up on eBay every so often.
The CD, though, is a different story. Until I found this copy, no one in the fish community was aware of it. My video and photos are the only proof of its existence right now (at least online).
The Honmeister your opinion on Croc O Rock and Larry Lobster? (I heard they are very rare, but wanted an experienced opinion)
@@ssj99lucario You can find those two for sale online almost all the time, mostly eBay. I've found two Larrys and three or so Croc-O-Rocks at thrift shops over the last 6 years. You have to know what you're looking for, but they are not hard to find online at all.
The Honmeister if looking for either of them you also have to check there phrases. the original releases were pulled from production, and maybe recalled, because of the song “Under the Water” where the phrase was “Everybody tells me that it’s too damn hot” and were rereleased with it change to “Everybody tells me that it’s way too hot”
