I love that you do so much walking around and leave yourselves lots of free time to explore. When my fiancé and I travel, we tend to be on a budget, so we do a lot of wandering rather than tourist attractions, and just see what we might come across. We've found so many interesting things that way :)
We love just walking and being open to wherever the path takes us! That’s way more fun and adventurous, regardless of budget! So you’re doing the right thing gin my opinion. And seeing churches and cathedrals is awesome - even if there is a nominal cost. So much beauty and history.
@@JeannieBASMR Absolutely! Love some architecture. Also, if you do come to Ireland, I'm afraid I'll be all over your comments with recommendations! Seeing a video like this about my home would be such a joy.

Jeannie I have never commented on a video before in my life but this video is crazy good you had me sat absolutely rapt watching for all one hour and twenty one minutes no distractions wondering what you were going to get up to next. Thank you for this amazing special video I am so glad you loved Britain😢🌟💖
Wow! Your comment totally made my day! Thank you so much for this! Funny - I never really know how a video will turn out. I sit down and start blah blah blahing and wonder, “Is this good enough?!” So thank you for your lovely and affirming words. ♥️
Me too! I put Jeannie on at the end of my “chef day” when I’m putting in my orders and working on the next day’s prep lists AKA my least favorite part of the job. I finished up about halfway through and realized I was just watching with my chin in my hand and a little bit of a smile. This was so so so perfect and charming. Thank you, Jeannie!! xo from Texas! ❤
Thank you for showing so much of our beautiful country. You really have seen some of the best bits on this trip! I can’t wait to visit the US next year! ☺️
This is probably the best video of Americans visiting our lovely country. Thank you for visiting and showing the world what a wonderful country we have. Please come back again soon.
You have such a wonderful calming whispery voice and I’m glad that you had good weather and the trip lived up to expectations. Obviously like all other countries the UK has some rough areas and people but your experiences here were a joy to watch plus your husband doing so well with the driving especially on the single track roads !!!
I lived in York for 5 years, my youngest was born there. Now we are back in Chile, and I miss York and Yorkshire every day. Your video made me cry a bit, thank you for finding beautiful words to describe how you felt there, I feel like that about Yorkshire too.
I used to live in York. I remember going for a late night walk with my ex-girlfriend and it was snowing. The chimes of the Minster and the snow scene was probably the most beautiful urban landscape I've ever seen.
This summer I have driven around quite a lot of England for work and I realised how much of a beautiful country I live in . We gone on about the weather but i love the variation of having 4 seasons.
Oh Jeannie ❤ Thank you so much for this video. I live in Yorkshire and, I’m sorry to say, I forget just how lovely a place it is and take living here for granted. Thank you for helping me to rediscover the beauty of Yorkshire (and England more widely) through your eyes. I’m so glad you had a great visit; please hurry back to England soon; England is better for having you and your husband here!
You are so welcome! And yes, it’s easy for us to take things for granted after being around it so much. I hope you see your area with new appreciation! ♥️
I love seeing your husband get into taking pictures of stuff. He’s a great blogger hubby lol. You guys are lovely to watch. Thank you for this video. As someone who doesn’t always have the means to travel, it’s great to at least see some of the world through this way. Every place you went to was beyond beautiful. Thanks Jeannie 💖
Hi Jeannie, so lovely to see you enjoying our beautiful country!! A Yorkshire girlie here and if you come back I would highly recommend the Peak District! Some beautiful villages, scenery and walks!!
Well I never expected to see my childhood home on your channel! I grew up in Arncliffe, went to school in the grounds of Bolton Abbey, and still return to Grassington regularly. Since then I’ve lived all over the world, but you’re right, there is something about North Yorkshire, and now I’m back just outside York (down the road from Castle Howard!) 💕 the heart knows where home is 💚 I’m glad you loved it as much as I do every day 😊
Thanks for the video which was REALLY very good. I'm from a North Yorkshire village which is usually peaceful (maybe not tonight which is November 5th and therefore Bonfire Night with fireworks etc) and pleasant. I was at Cambridge University half a lifetime ago and think if you had been able to go around some of the Colleges (as well as punting down the Cam), if you'd been able to visit the Botanical Gardens, Great St Mary's Church and some of the pubs (like The Eagle in the city centre where WW2 British & American airmen left their names on the ceiling using the flames from their cigarette lighters, and which was a favourite den of some of the team of DNA discovering scientists), you'd have had enough for a day or two. Beautiful architecture including Kings College Chapel which is like it's own cathedral, and history. York is excellent though. And if you return to the UK, look up and/or visit: Whitby, Ripon & Fountains Abbey, North Yorks Moors & its steam heritage railway. The Yorkshire Dales and Haworth (of the Brontë sisters fame). If you go to Scotland everyone will tell you about the architecture & history of Edinburgh but don't overlook Stirling (and its castle which many prefer to Edinburgh) and the cultural scene in Glasgow, but the Highlands, particularly the North West Highlands, are STUNNING. Orkney off the North Coast is crammed full of archaeological wonders including some stone circles started before Stonehenge - visit the Ring of Brodgar, the Standing Stones of Stenness, the Bronze Age village of Skara Brae (best in Europe) unearthed by a storm from the covering sand dunes which had lain over it, and the wonder of Maes Howe. Just look them up online if you are interested but a visit will not disappoint. Northumberland is s full of castles, market towns and, surprisingly, some wonderful sandy beaches and more fish+chips than anyone could need. Best of luck and thanks again for the video.
@@JeannieBASMR , now you can understand why Yorkshire people call it Gods home but then they never have been to Cumberland and the Lake District 😂😂 There are videos about dry stone walling you'll like them , also there are some about sheep trailing were they use Boarder Collies to move a small amount of sheep from one end of a field to the other and through a small course , Don't worry the sheep are only used once because they remember the course and just go straight to the pen 😂 , so they use fresh sheep each time Excellent video especially around oxford and the libraries and colleges .
I’ve been watching this video for over a week now and I’m finally at the end! I’m usually unable to stay awake for more than 10 minutes after listening to how soothing your voice is Jeannie🥰thank you for another amazing video, this brought me back so much nostalgia from growing up and visiting family in the English countryside.. love from Ireland 🇮🇪 xx
How special that you got to properly go into Duke Humfreys library at the Bodleian, most people don’t get to go past the gates! I spent so much time studying in there, it’s definitely my favourite of all the libraries!

An absolute treat! Thank you for taking us along, dear Jeannie. You put so much thought into the details of making your “travel documentary” and I enjoyed watching you and Zane soak it all in.
Ahh, Jeannie!! I adore this video. I used to be an English professor (Victorian studies/literature), so I've spent a good amount of time doing research in England. When I'm there, I always feel like I must have lived there in another life. Anyway, you were right about that dress. LOVE it!! ✨🍸 And I absolutely understand about the carryon space issue. I ALWAYS go to Europe now with an Away larger carryon and a Fjallraven Kanken backpack. That's it. So much easier to maneuver, get around on public transport, carry up steps (!!!)--no waiting on baggage claim or worrying about lost luggage. I'll never go back to a full-sized suitcase. Thank you for thinking of me. 🥰
Thank you for taking us on your trip with you! I was going to just listen to the blah, blah, blah to sleep, and then come back and watch the video the next day, but was so fascinated, I stayed up and watched the whole thing.😊
Ahhhh I'm so glad you came up to Yorkshire! I love where I'm from and love seeing others come here to enjoy the beauty of the scenery. Fantastic video Jeanie!! Glad to know you both enjoyed your British vacation.
You know, as someone who lives in an ancient stone town in England you forget how beautiful it is when you are here every day. Thanks for the refreshing insight and great vlog :) I'll definitely admire my country more than I do. Also sorry about the algorithm. But there is something extra special about seeing someone else experiencing it. It brings about a new level of gratitude. This has been an incredibly beautiful watch, and im so glad you both had a great time here 🙏🏻❤️
Cant wait to come back to this later tonight and so glad to see you enjoying the uk. Im originally from the very north of England but lived in Scotland since childhood. I hope in the future you might be able to see a bit of Scotland :). It definitely had a different type of charm than the south of England but its very beautiful too i think, especially the west coast and the Hebrides (I say with some bias). Would also be a good start point if you wanted to venture back down to England to see the lake district (my favourite part of England, and probably the bit most like rural scotland haha).
I've never been so overwhelmed with things to say, but I'm gonna do my best to keep it short: I always imagined England as being grey, rainy and cloudy. Maybe other parts are more like that, but I was not prepared for the breathtaking imagery, greenery and sunshine. I so wished that you guys could've explored more of the Ghost Store. I would love to go there! Watching this and hearing you talk about how you felt being there almost made me a bit emotional. I thought to myself that it seems like the kind of place one could lose themselves in and never want to leave. Watching this also made me feel like I need to watch more travel/vacation videos so I can get some ideas of what places I'd like to visit. Thank you so much for sharing this captivating experience with us.❤
Aw, what a great comment! Thank you! Yes, I was blown away by the beauty, the lushness, the green landscapes, the blue skies (although yes, they had a couple cloudy days!) And never wanting to leave is exactly how I felt! x

Can you come organize my life?! 😊
@@JeannieBASMR😅😅
@@zedskidoodleI’m counting on that! 😊 ☘️
This is a gem of a video to find and even though I'm from the UK, really interesting and informative. Just such a great video. Very peaceful, perfect to fall to sleep to.
Glad you enjoyed it! And glad it helped lull you to sleep! We truly loved England. So beautiful!
40:18 The vertical 'copestones' were just a deterrent to animals to try and climb over. In other parts of Britain without sedimentary stone that easily split, they just made the walls taller/wider
Oh! Thank you so much for this!!
What an enjoyable video. Thank you for sharing your lovely trip 🇬🇧 ❤
@@wanderlustfulableAw…this made my morning!😊
Exactly this ❤
Thank you for showing so much of our beautiful country. You really have seen some of the best bits on this trip! I can’t wait to visit the US next year! ☺️
She only saw the tip of the iceberg of the UK. She also didn't visit Wales which is next level.
Found by accident and watched it all, it was fantastic. Jeannie you remind me of an English lady . That was a compliment. Thank you.
This comment made my day! Thank you so much!😊
This is probably the best video of Americans visiting our lovely country. Thank you for visiting and showing the world what a wonderful country we have. Please come back again soon.
Thank you so much! I’m truly an amateurish videographer but I’m glad you were able to see my true love for England!
Thank you Jeannie for sharing your England trip
You have such a wonderful calming whispery voice and I’m glad that you had good weather and the trip lived up to expectations.
Obviously like all other countries the UK has some rough areas and people but your experiences here were a joy to watch plus your husband doing so well with the driving especially on the single track roads !!!
Thank you so much! And of course, no place is 100% perfect! But wow - we loved England!
@ 👍👍
I lived in York for 5 years, my youngest was born there. Now we are back in Chile, and I miss York and Yorkshire every day. Your video made me cry a bit, thank you for finding beautiful words to describe how you felt there, I feel like that about Yorkshire too.
It really is a special place! 😊
Aww shame you had to go back😢
I used to live in York. I remember going for a late night walk with my ex-girlfriend and it was snowing. The chimes of the Minster and the snow scene was probably the most beautiful urban landscape I've ever seen.
Yorkshire is known as God's County just so you know lol 😂
My mother lives in bath and I regularly visit her and so lovely to see someone enjoying all bath has to offer!
This summer I have driven around quite a lot of England for work and I realised how much of a beautiful country I live in . We gone on about the weather but i love the variation of having 4 seasons.
I’m so glad you see it through my eyes! Beautiful!
I like the atmosphere of rain. Being 30oC all the time like in southern Europe, would be too much.
😊 thank you! We’re very grateful to be able to travel as we do. Glad you enjoy the videos!
Hi Jeannie, so lovely to see you enjoying our beautiful country!! A Yorkshire girlie here and if you come back I would highly recommend the Peak District! Some beautiful villages, scenery and walks!!
Thanks for the tips!
Well I never expected to see my childhood home on your channel! I grew up in Arncliffe, went to school in the grounds of Bolton Abbey, and still return to Grassington regularly. Since then I’ve lived all over the world, but you’re right, there is something about North Yorkshire, and now I’m back just outside York (down the road from Castle Howard!) 💕 the heart knows where home is 💚 I’m glad you loved it as much as I do every day 😊
Wow! You are truly blessed to have these lands as your home!
And if you return to the UK, look up and/or visit:
Whitby,
Ripon & Fountains Abbey,
North Yorks Moors & its steam heritage railway.
@@JeannieBASMR , now you can understand why Yorkshire people call it Gods home but then they never have been to Cumberland and the Lake District 😂😂
There are videos about dry stone walling you'll like them , also there are some about sheep trailing were they use Boarder Collies to move a small amount of sheep from one end of a field to the other and through a small course ,
Don't worry the sheep are only used once because they remember the course and just go straight to the pen 😂 , so they use fresh sheep each time
Excellent video especially around oxford and the libraries and colleges .
You're the best! Thanks for this! (And we absolutely want to come visit Ireland!)
How special that you got to properly go into Duke Humfreys library at the Bodleian, most people don’t get to go past the gates! I spent so much time studying in there, it’s definitely my favourite of all the libraries!
Lucky you! It was one of the most beautiful libraries ever!
York is my absolute favourite city ever! i’m from scotland and i love it here but if i had to live anywhere else it would be york! such a beautiful, historic city where i’ve made many happy memories - i’m glad you enjoyed your trip!
Couldn't agree more!
I lived in York for three years. Only place I've ever had my car broken into.
Oh, that's rotten. I'm sorry!
Old English Hotels have been renovated and extended so many times they feel like walking around an esher painting. It's part of their charm. 😊
That’s so funny! I said the same thing! 😃
What an amazing documentary film! I‘m really happy for you!❤️
Thank you so much!
You’re just so relaxing. I love your vintage magazine look throughs. You do such a great job. I’m gonna relax and watch this because I always wanted to visit England so this will definitely be cool. 💚

An absolute treat! Thank you for taking us along, dear Jeannie. You put so much thought into the details of making your “travel documentary” and I enjoyed watching you and Zane soak it all in.
Thank you so much!😊

What a BEAUTIFUL video. So peaceful and relaxing! Thank you, Jeanie. You are such a gift x
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your kind comment!
The Cotswolds were my favorite part of England! Unmatched beauty and charm!
Unmatched beauty is perfectly said! 😊♥️
Yes, I’ve been waiting for it😍 Honestly, I frequently rewatch your another Germany travel video. Thank you🤍 This is so wonderful!
Yay! Thank you!
Yup! Best way to travel - LIGHT! ;)
Thank you for taking us on your trip with you! I was going to just listen to the blah, blah, blah to sleep, and then come back and watch the video the next day, but was so fascinated, I stayed up and watched the whole thing.😊
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you so much!
I found it as I was about to go to bed and loved it so much, I stayed up to after 2 am to finish it! 😲
Thank you for sharing, I’ve been feeling terribly homesick recently and this has made me feel so comforted seeing my home ❤
Oh you chose very well!!! Great UK locations, and York is one of my favourite cities! You're welcome back anytime!! xoxo

Oh i am very jealous of you for visiting England! It looks like so much fun😍😍
You know, as someone who lives in an ancient stone town in England you forget how beautiful it is when you are here every day. Thanks for the refreshing insight and great vlog :) I'll definitely admire my country more than I do. Also sorry about the algorithm. I will admit I've missed several videos from several channels because of it.
Please do appreciate your beautiful area! 🥰

That’s the greatest compliment!
I've been following your channel around two years now (or something like that). For some reason I can only fall asleep to your videos. This particular one I didn't use for sleeping but watched it all the way through 🙂 very interesting trip and love the sights and sounds from England you provide here!
Wow, thank you!😊
I’m in a very stressful school program and your videos are keeping me sane. Love you Jeannie ❤
Hang in there, sweets!! You’ve got this !

I am so glad you enjoyed your trip but I do wish you visit Scotland soon! I have to say you look so beautiful and graceful I felt like I was watching a movie. Thank you for such an interesting, wholesome and relaxing video 🫶

I can’t wait to visit Scotland! 🏴
So many more places i wish you could have visited, great video none the less!

Derbyshire and the lake district are beautiful. Hope you come back and see us again. 😊
We will! Most definitely!
You’re spot on. I’m lucky enough to live in Derbyshire after being brought up in Nottinghamshire. Both counties are amazing!
I've never been so overwhelmed with things to say, but I'm gonna do my best to keep it short:
I always imagined England as being grey, rainy and cloudy.
Thank you! Yes, I was blown away by the beauty, the lushness, the green landscapes, the blue skies (although yes, they had a couple cloudy days!) And never wanting to leave is exactly how I felt! x
