  • We've all been in situations where hitting someone seemed like the easy and best solution in the moment. But that's rarely, if ever, the right solution. Learn how to de-escalate a situation and walk away to preserve your time, reputation, money and eventual freedom.

Sometimes you can't. But yes, every fight avoided is a fight won

Or if you are a good fighter and hurt the other guy real bad you could get charged with attempted murder by a zealous DA. Ask me how I know

The time for molding your character out and learning what you're made of is well before you turn the drinking age of being in a bar and potentially and eventually finding yourself in a situation like this.
That's why responsible dads teach their sons to never start fights, but if a fight is being forced on you or somebody you should protect, learn how to effectively defend yourself...& knock somebody the f*ck out, if warranted.
Once you know how to handle yourself and have been forced and rapidly responded to demonstrating this... That self-confidence becomes an innate part of your presence.
It's what gives the people who just have an effortless aura of 'don't f*ck with me and we'll not have issues' carry around.
You can't buy it. You can try and fake it, but you'll eventually be called out by someone who doesn't play games.
So, the moral of the story: Learn how to handle yourself when you are an adolescent and get into a couple+ fights with bullies or guys asking for it when you're a teenager.
Then it just magically happens that you're rarely, if ever likely to be found to be put in that situation, to begin with...
Most of these people, I'll go ahead & use the 'we' parlance, are gentlemen who would never start a fight nor bully anyone, but will not hesitate to throw effective hands (first punches) to protect oneself and especially those unable to protect themselves.

About 90% are too prideful to heed your warning. I don't go to bars, because I don't drink anymore and people are so arrogant these days, they won't even offer an opting out of a fight.
