Yea man!! It’s solid! I’m still playing with distances and where I’ll sit it. But I can c-clamp this on a tripod too when in the room doing talking heads

This mic has been solid since purchasing! Still no fix for that should when multiple cables plugged in. But overall I’ve enjoyed it. Remember to charge it if you’re considering it

Comica was my favorite brand I discovered organically. I was looking at wireless setups and bought a bunch of different brands; RODE, ZOOM, and Comica. Also they just have interesting and weird mics like the Trax mic.
Amazing mic, and I think on this idea for years, do not why other brands don't do it earlier... great move for Comica!
Right!!! I’m so surprised RODE doesn’t have a version of this! They’re perfectly setup to launch a similar product with all of the products they have already adjacent

@@CoZChristopher You can go one step further and have two of these bad boys hard wired into a zoom F3 32-bit float recorder and then keep the transmitters on the same camera and use a left/right splitter to record a two person interview. So many possibilities.

Thank you! It’s solid!! I thought it would have a little better sound isolation in case I take it to CES, NAB, etc. but that could be the way I have the audio setup on my Sony and the mic itself. I’ll play with that and see how well I can dial that in.

How can it be possible to use a single transmitter to listen to you from the camera and the person in charge of the microphone someone to explain to me.
2023 technology is a cornerstone we will always remember. A wireless shotgun mic seems so simple, so it's crazy it's never existed before at an affordable pricepoint!
I do agree with you!! Shotgun mics, especially good ones have been kind of up there in price and more on the pro side. They’re starting to make their way more to the ProSumer side for content creators and we should see more innovation going forward. I hope this blows up to increase value and lower price in this area!!
When you were testing the gain settings was it with the standard settings or did you put on any hertz, safety mode or normal?
This was the standard recording being tested. The only variable was the difference in distance :)
Man this would be sweet if they let you buy to of these and you could use the BOOM D X receiver. That way you could use the two boom set up for a podcast.

are those sound raw or have you edited before you uploaded to youtube?
Those are raw. I don’t even the sound out during the sound tests. I don’t add treatments outside of the sound tests either. I only normalize audio to -23 for vocal track. But all sound test samples are raw and untreated.
OH WOW if you attach this to like a Zoom F3 you could get the 32bit float.
Yep!!! And that’s when the magic starts happening hahaha!! Lots of possibilities for this!!
