Is it just me or is the miyoo mini screen just slightly smaller than the rg35xx. I know they are both supposed to be 3.5in but the Mini screen looks smaller. Out of the box I definitely give it to the Miyoo. The Anbernics is a bit too stiff for my liking. Over time, when the rubber pads get worn out, this might be a different story though.
@@jeffp.6349 for me, it was just the fact that r36s has a more powerful chip as well as analog sticks that allow for n64, dreamcast and psp emulation (not all games run smooth by default, tinkering needed). i also dont care about wifi or bluetooth on my device, since i only play a little bit in the evening or on the bus/train.

looking for something pocketable and cheap was looking at the rg-35xx-h but its got snapping problems hence a dpad only device being pretty much the same, i like the fact the rg-35xx plus has dreamcast support. but prefer the size of the miyoo mini. haven't seen either in person though portability is big to me otherwise would probably wait and get a retroid. so miyoo mini plus or rg? or should i even wait and get the sp version which i love the look of but not the price. sorry for the essay aha
Honestly the Dreamcast support (PSP as well) is very flaky. Some games work, most don't. Of portability is important I'd go with the MM+. I don't have the SP version, but from what I've seen it's quite a bit thicker (like 50%) than an og SP. But hardware wise both are fine. And if you wait a bit I'm sure the RG35xxSP will come down in price.

For the Miyoo exiting the game at 4%, you can change that in the settings. Nice comparison!

The r36s doesn't have wifi though so you can't run Pico-8 natively. Also, I heard the buttons are either loud or very stiff.
