I like that you're experimenting with different types of videos; definitely a good thing to do to show you all without having it directly relate to autism, not that it's a bad thing, but good to get different content as well. Please keep this up!

@Cooker Jefferson It’s a lifelong neurological condition that changes the way the brain works. You cannot change the hard wiring of the brain.

@Cooker Jefferson I don’t believe you, because it’s physically impossible. Chances are you’ve forced him to act neurotypical, or he never was autistic. Please just be a good parent and accept and love your autistic kiddo. He’s not less.

First of all, thank you guys so much for what you do. The first video I watched of yours was the 6 stages of meltdown where I saw a calm and loving reaction and intuitive response to a meltdown I'm familiar with in my child and am fairly sure I've also experienced myself as I suspect I am myself autistic. I'm not on Facebook right now (taking an extended break) so I want to comment here, but it's not going to be a Pixar-related comment, it's to be related to a closed comment video. I am a mother of an almost 4 year old with autism and I just watched the funeral video. First of all I'm so sorry for your loss Brittany. (hope I'm spelling that right) even though I know it's been a year or so, I definitely cried during that video for so many reasons.
Since my husband and I had my daughter we've resonated with so much of what you said during that video and your raw honesty made me feel so much less alone.
We were had no other choice but to force our poor autistic daughter through an airport, we had to take some rows of seats and create a wall for her against the airport window while waiting for her flight, she would not wear a mask and her overstimulated screaming filled the entire airport for hours, there was nothing we could do to soothe her, everyone was staring at us and I'll admit I did not have a shred of grace lol. I was not carrying a card, I told them it was rude to stare and if looks could kill I'd have not spared a soul in the whole crowd.
It is so beautiful to see how well you and your husband work together. My husband and I seperated at one point and almost divorced at how difficult it has been. You can definitely tell in these videos how much you love each other and your kids.
At the end of the video when you said it's important to vent, you are so wise. My friend Shelby who was pregnant at the same time as I was had an older autistic girl who no longer has a mommy. Her stress and PPD got ignored and she didn't have a supportive husband. People were constantly telling her she was selfish and to not make it about herself. Parenting an autistic child is hard, no matter how much you love your kids. I hope your marriage stays strong. You are so beautiful, and all your sons ♡

I know I’m very late to this (I just started watching your channel), but I thought this was really cool. I’m on the high-functioning side of autism and one of my big, unique passions is watching movies and taking time to understand complex themes from them. For most of my life (I’m 21) I’ve had a great difficulty in understanding the world around me, let alone finding ways to get along with it. In recent years, I discovered the MCU, and I’m deeply invested into it to the point where I can just talk and talk about it and not get bored. Many of the stories and characters have helped me understand my own emotions and understand where a lot of people can come from. Even just as a young adult, I’m already beginning to discover who I am and who I could become. Seeing the Avengers and the issues they struggle with brings me great comfort in that even people with special abilities can have hardships or go through hard things. I have great abilities too, but I also deal with specific things that many neurotypical people don’t go through. In a way, I’m becoming my own hero.

I am trying to be more comfortable stimming without worrying about people's opinions but it's difficult. Do you have any advice? Also hi to Ian and Connor. I must say Connor is who I relate to the most as for the severity of the autism and the general personality. Although I have a lot of anxiety and I am very active, like Ian. Hi there, just discovered your channel. My partner and her children have autism, just wanted to say that Functional MDs and Naturopaths have been so much more helpful than regular MDs. Regular MDs aren’t usually going to look for chemical toxicities, impaired genetic ability to detox, food allergies, gut dysbiosis. We even went to a Functional MD in Taiwan, she said that she frequently sees egg allergy, fungal overgrowth and clostridium bacteria in the gut in her autistic patients. I’m sure a lot of you already know, but I just wanted to share in case it helps someone. Very important to get these kids to Drs that can actually help with the root cause of the gut problems, anxiety, etc. Glutathione IVs have been very helpful for us as well. I don’t have autism but they really helped my migraines and chronic headaches. Much love to everyone out there doing their best in these challenging times. You have a beautiful family ❤️

We tried it out for a good couple of months and while I think it helped a little with his anxiety it wasn't big enough for us to warrant the extra cost. His meds make far more difference. Other people may report a much larger change. It's really a case-by-case basis I think.

My favorite movies are wall-e. I like to make robot noises whenever the movie plays and my other favorite Pixar movies are the Cars films. because I like race cars, trains, buses, airplanes, tow trucks, suvs, ambulances, monster trucks, fire trucks, police cruisers, minivans, army jeeps, really anything on wheels. I always have to have my trucks with me wherever I go. Usually whenever we go on trips those two movies are usually downloaded on my tablet and that lasts me about 4 hours maybe five hours before I throw a fit because the tablet died.

I cried, just... I couldn’t handle my thoughts and it’s just... (musician talk, so, if you don’t understand it’s ok lol) Concert F Major is a pretty sad key, especially when it’s in a ballad/chorale/slow song setting

Quite honestly we've avoided taking the kids in planes. Right now they are just not ready for it. Maybe a 2 hour flight max, but Ian has serious issues around people, so for the time being we rent a van and travel that way. Sorry I can't give you better news, but other families have done it and they usually call the airlines in advance to notify them of an autistic passenger. ;)
