  • Wallaroo is located on the western side of the Yorke Peninsula just over two hours from Adelaide South Australia. There are two Caravan Parks in Wallaroo, for this trip we elected to stop at the Wallaroo Holiday Park. After reading some of the Wiki Camps Reviews for this Park, I wasn’t too sure if we had chosen the best Park to stop at. After arriving, setting up and looking around, we then knew that we were in a great Park.
    Wallaroo has a great beach being North Beach which allows vehicle down on to the beach area. As well as this there is the wharf which allows people to fish from even when there is a ship in loading. To allow this they close only the outer most part of the wharf to the public.
    Check out Wallaroo here.

    Oh! My Home Town! never seen such a Wonderful video of it! You guys just made me so homesick! Well done with the Drone. They were so smooth & the editing was awesome. All in all 10/10 Mick & Sally.. Although we didn't get to see Sally! By the way, I just sent it to a friend in Canada. Thanks for showcasing my very loved Hometown so I can share it with my friends all over the world! Cheers Debbie

      You are very welcome Debbie, just so pleased that you enjoyed it. You will never see much of Sally and I as we want our videos to be about the location and not so much about ourselves.

    Thank you for saying that some people have said a negative review. Some people are never happy.I’ve got the top of the line caravan, best towing vehicle with 15 to 29 megonuetons of towing capacity, dodge rams, Silverado’s, jet skis, but I want to free camp.

    G'day fella & Sally. Glad you knew how to swim outa them flood waters.
    Anyways, Wallaroo is an often visited spot for me and my lady. Do so enjoy the close proximity to home, and my lady loves the shallow warm waters to splash about in.
    The Park is fabulous, but have never seen it so full as per your video..Wow. But when school is back then is usually heaps of room to spread ones wings, or just lounge around...
    Keep them travels coming in between Darwin mate....Always enjoy the viewing, Thanks & Cheers

      Thanks Dennis, glad you liked watching the video. I was almost blown away when I saw the crowd at the Caravan Park when we drove in, very bust for sure.

    I took the maiden ferry ride back a few years with the Ronald McDonald House Ride for Sick Kids support team heading for Pt Lincoln. The ride was 1,000 kms in 7 days back to Adelaide. I sat next to a chap who had travelled from the east coast just to take the ferry ride. He intends to experience all ferries in Australia. Each to his own...some hold a passion for other interests....I've heard caravanning is one of yours LOL. Appreciated the Wallaroo experience.

      It would be a honor to ride shotgun with you while you in the truck I drove truck for 35yr and gave up trucking due to all the ridiculous regs in the US and the quality of the new drivers.
      Is that a problem in Australia as well?

    • @justcruisinwithmicksally837
      @justcruisinwithmicksally837  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnkauffman8126 yes John, we have the same problems in the transport industry here in Australia.

    I wouldn’t call this comment a bad day ok I would call it a legit issue and well said about the place as I have lived in wallaroo for 19 years and I know full well how unhappy the residents are and how unfriendly they can be. Here it is. Have been coming here for about 15 years. We love the place. Didn’t come the last couple of years. The beachfront unit we stayed in was not clean, one toilet roll for our two night stay with 5 people. Lucky I brought my own, found nail clippings on the sofa bed and there were no proper kitchen items to use. Very disappointed with amenities and then the young girl at the desk doesn’t smile. Wasn’t smiling when we checked in and didn’t smile when we left. We did checkout late which was our fault but I still expect service with a smile. Customer service is of utmost importance. If you have no customers you have no job young lady! Ps. anywhere that has dirty toilets and unkept toilets and unkept units and broken barbecues does not deserve to have people staying there if they can’t up keep the place
