My mum is buried in this cemetery not far from where Cilla has been laid to rest. It has a lovely layout and I appreciate how simplistic her grave is. Not over the top, just simple and respectful. RIP to my mum who died far too young and my condolences to everyone who has lost someone close to them.
I’m so pleased you have been to see Cilla Black’s grave. Sir Ken Dodd’s grave isn’t far from Cilla and also Julia Lennon’s grave is close by too, who is John Lennon’s Mum. She was tragically killed as she was crossing the road called Menlove Avenue after visiting Aunt Mimi’s house which is near to Allerton Cemetery. Also Rhys Jones aged 12 years is also buried here who was sadly murdered after he had played a game of football in 2007. Oliver King aged 12 years who died after a cardiac arrest whilst he was swimming and could have been saved if there had been a defibrillator available. His Dad Mark has campaigned ever since for defibrillators to be made more accessible. The two boys are buried near my ancestors in Allerton. It’s great that you have made the journey to Merseyside Paul 👍🏼
My wife passed away last June and when I heard this song (You Are My World) it is the perfect song for me. I play it every time I visit her at the grave it reminds me every time how much she meant to me and still does! ❤ Thank you for doing this.
I saw Cilla Black in the 80s. At Twin Towns in Australia where she was performing her shows. Cilla was amazing. She was so funny and a great entertainer. I remember when she sang John Lennon's song IMAGINE, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. R. I. P. Cilla, and Thank You for all the great moments.

I live 10 minutes, from where Cilla lived in Denham. She was often seen in the village there doing her shopping in the local bakers and butchers. I visited her grave 2 years ago whilst on a trip to Liverpool. A lovely cemetery, and nice local people who showed us where she was buried. Thanks for the video Paul. Well narrated, as always. 👍

What an absolutely beautiful headstone & resting place for the lovely Cilla. When you read out the inscribed words, it brought me to tears, absolutely beautiful. ❤️

Cilla, buried opposite my parents where all white headstones, always watch your show Paul, very good 👍
Paul O’Grady spoke at her funeral. It was so moving. She was so loved, a treasured friend to him.
And now we have lost Paul also 😢 RIP Paul OGrady 🌹
Cilla was an absolutely beautiful woman, loved her in Blind date, she was so natural and funny. She had an amazing singing voice. Rip Cilla xxx
Such a shame she was alone at the end...Thank you for the video Paul..
Loved watching Cilla lovely person xx
Oh Paul l loved Cilla. Thank you once again. What a beautiful grave. Well deserved. A working class girl done good. God Bless you Cilla Love. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My Grandmother was a fan of hers. I remember her from the 1990s as a TV presenter on Blind Date
and Surprise Surprise. There was so much warmth and friendliness about her personality.
@RAGNAR I'm from the U.S. When people said Cilla Black was also a 'presenter' does that mean host, or in her case, hostess?
@RAGNAR TY. Even if it's true about her personality, that takes nothing from her beautiful voice and memorable song from '64.TY
@RAGNAR I only know her for 'You're My World' which is the only song of hers played in America. I heard it was the biggest seller by a female artist in the UK so I guess I'm not alone.
I loved Cilla Black she had a fantastic voice, I used to watch all of her programmes. My father got me into Cilla as he loved Your My World. He bought me the record so I could put it on repeat all the time. The neighbours were fed-up of my father and Cilla ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoy watching your videos. It's nice to see were some of the famous people have been laid to rest.thank you for sharing this with everyone.
Love the fact that lyrics from her greatest hits are inscribed on her headstone Step Inside Love, Alfie, You're my world..nice touch!
Who didn’t love cilla black Saturday night tv with.cilla so warming funny and so lovely such a sad loss miss her so much thankyou Paul 😊💕
I love your videos, and this is another great one. 👍 Feel a little sorry for the family with a relation in the plot next to Cilla though - judging by the sign, they’ve obviously had some previous problems. 😔 Visiting notable people’s graves to pay respects is a really nice thing to do, but it’s always important to be considerate to others in the vicinity.
Yeah I saw the notice about not standing on their family's grave...then he goes and stands on it 🙈🙈
Agree, the grass has been worn back, such a shame.
Cilla's parents are buried to the left but one of her.
I’ll always remember her catchphrase. Surprise surprise!!!!
I watched her as a child on game shows like blind date
It's not until I watched these videos, you realise how much joy people gave me,and I loved Cilla.Thankyou for your time filming these videos of there final resting place.RIP.x
I was on holiday in Great Yarmouth with my parents in the mid 80’s and we see her coming out of a theatre and she spoke to us. lovely lady really down to earth. Thanks paul for bringing back memories.
Yes I remember her with the Beatles and it brings back good memories
