after reading some of the comments I shake my head. Cilla is in a whole new world now.. She was a proud Liverpudlian which had nothing to do with politics. Cilla was a down to earth real person. We were lucky to have known her. RIP Cilla xoxox
+Kevin Davies if she had a face for the fans, no one would know the face for the"world at large'' besides she was a tv star only for Britain not the world.
+Jean Lunt Eh? "nothing to do with politics" - a "proud scouser" who praised Thatcher is a disgrace! Still by the 1980's she had made her money, lived in the home counties and so cared less of her roots even though she milked them to death (something which the working classes do for reasons unknown to me)
The long and winding road was my partners mam funeral song ,as we said farewell to her we both teared up when this song came on . Rest in peace cilla ♥️
I loved Cilla in the 60s as I do now.I lost all touch with most of British artists over the past 42 years when we emigrated to the States. However Cilla lingers in my mind and heart always.God bless her and her beloved family and friends.
i had the honour of meeting her outside the Liverpool Empire in 2008 after the panto and my scouts parted the crowd and gave her a guard of honour so she could get through to her car quickly and safely (as asked by her driver), got her autograph which i will forever treasure. reunited with her bobby and her daughter. rest in peace cilla, daughter of our amazing city of Liverpool
I remember heading out for a business trip on the first Sunday following Cilla's death (pretty sure it was before the funeral though - can't quite remember), and listening to Paul O'Grady's Radio 2 show in the car when I was driving. He dedicated the show to her and he was clearly absolutely devastated. They were great friends, she clearly meant so much to him and it was all very moving.
Lot of slating on here , and I don't know why, so I feel the need to tell this story from a man who had wrote in to the television show This Morning , he wrote that he was a bin man for years for Cilla Black , and quite often he would take not only her rubbish ( of course ) but also empty bottles of champagne , one Christmas time when doing the usual collection , outside Cilla's home was a crate of champagne with a little note which read. " ta for dealing with the empties love Cilla x" Need I say anymore about this woman absolute diamond , R.I.P chuck
+Martina Murray I have seen this rush of negativity when other well known people passed away too,the negativity is really about pretending to be better than other people.
Thursday 20th August 2015. Mam and I watched the full coverage of Cilla Blacks funeral at St Mary's church in Liverpool on Sky news 1pm. I loved Cliff Richard singing Faithful one, so beautiful, I kept telling myself not to cry, but mam found it quite moving. Paul O Grady made me laugh.
I'm a soloist honey and we do sing without the words when singing a lot. WE memorise the songs long before singing them. Most choirs use folders to see the words. A solist that sings from the heart, sings like dear Cilla did; - from the depths of their heart and soul; meaning every word; - and people sure can tell; - it's a God given gift. I live in Canada and when 13, heard Cilla for the first time as well as watched her on a TV special from Britain with the Beatles! I LOVED HER INSTANTLY! I was thrilled, and recorded that BBC show on my dad's reel to reel tape recorder! THE Beatles & Cilla at the same time becoming most famous; as we here in Canada were still under the BRitish Commonwealth! WE were all so proud with our BRit backgrounds I tell ya! I wish I could go back in time at times! Music has never had the same impact it did when the Beatles hit the scene then what was called THE BRITISH INVASION groups and singers ! I sit here on Sunday, JUne 5th 2016 watching lots of CILLA videos and still can't believe she's gone! Then again, ... I can't believe I turned 65 in January! Have a lovely day Katie.
+James O'Farrell I didn't notice that but yes it is disrespectful. I know many people can't leave their mobile phone alone for 2 mins but at a funeral? It's today's society I'm afraid. They should be banned from Church's,although respect and common sense should be enough to tell them not to use.
😢 Beautiful service for a beautiful lady .❤ Condolences to her family and friends 😢. She was very funny and had great scene of humour. 🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏👍👍
I cant sit here any longer. And the funeral hasnt even started. Is it necessary to do an hours video of mourners chatting and the finishing preparations the church is doing. Why did they have to be there so early anyway. I have given up on actually seeing Cillas funeral service.
Sir Cliff obviously found his song very difficult to complete, but he did his duty very well. Her son spoke very well, and I think his words about how she treated people as she found them discredits the arguments of those who say she was a ruthless user.
This appears to be one of the Sky camera feeds from inside the church at the back. We only see the images from that camera and not the others, so that's why we don't see the faces of the mourners, which we did on the actual broadcast I watched on the Sky News channel, because we saw the feeds from the other cameras as well. As for the operator on this camera, I'm sure the BBC would have done a far better job without all the jerky movements and fast zooming in and out. Notwithstanding this, it was a lovely service and they gave Cilla a really good send off.
Just looking at poor paul we've lost him now as well i adored him the two of them will be causing havoc up there now can u imagine if there is a god up there hes in stiches at this moment in time
Bleeding Norah, already 36:29 & not a word said at Cilla's Funeral service. If Cilla could she would walk out, people walking about. back a forth such disrespect to be shown, As Cilla would say.. Ta rah I'm outer here.

Kevin Davies Is anyone?
+Kevin Davies if she had a face for the fans, no one would know the face for the"world at large'' besides she was a tv star only for Britain not the world.
+Kevin Davies no kevin anyone who has a working class father or mother from Liverpool is not unlucky...

Wow how fabulous was Cliff Richard! Singing without words and just music! Lovely! Shame the cameraman is rubbish!!!!!!!

1:13:18 there is a woman texting on her phone ,,, unbelievable
+Tracey Williams I think mobiles should be banned from funerals!
+James O'Farrell I didn't notice that but yes it is disrespectful. I know many people can't leave their mobile phone alone for 2 mins but at a funeral? It's today's society I'm afraid. They should be banned from Church's,although respect and common sense should be enough to tell them not to use.

I love this video of the funeral. Carol Wilson
It's such a shame about the rowdy congregation , a church is a place of solice and peace.
