On my G the copper crush washers on the AT drain plug are the same as the one on the oil drain plug, I order a 20 pack and replace them each time I drain and it helps get proper torque and a good seal. Once the washer is fully crushed it is tight enough and no worries of stripping out the pans

I liked the video. Is it also recommended to change the drain plug gasket or washer?

How did the transmission do couple weeks or months after you drained and filled? Any good notices?

My 2010 FX35 doesnt have a dipstick... dealer said my trans oild is supposed to be LIFE long (Life of the transmission).... its been 177K miles and i have not had my transmission services, but i think i should take it in. I dont have any issues at the moment but wondering it i should go and spend 500.00

Isn’t the atf drain bolt reachable without taking off the splash guard for g35s ?

Thanks for the super helpful video. Cant believe my mechanic want over $350 for this simple work lol....I am just curious why you didnt check the dipstick level prior to draining. I know you measured the quantity etc., just thought the dipstick is a good estimate of the volume

Appreciate the video. I have a 2007 g35x auto, having trouble reading the dipstick. I know to check the fluid warmed up and running but the dipstick itself is confusing. Any idea where the level should be when hot (in between the notches or in the hash marked area)? Not much info online.

The pan only holds about 5 quarts. The transmission actually holds about 11 quarts.

Thank you for the video! Can I ask something about my 08 g35? The car I bought was 87k 6 months ago now it’s 90k. I didn’t find any records that previous owner did the transmission fluid change. I really want to do it but Should I? Will the gears slide if I do that?

  • @dee3953

Can I change I got that car. But people saying if I change it will brake
