Can I use a vitamin c moisturiser after applying this exfoliant?
Remember it takes months for salicylic acid,as well as other actives, to even start working within your skin,so don't give up after a few weeks only
After i used a week now my face was too dry and peel off so should i still continue ?
@@suilen8878 when you start you should only use it once a week and increase until your skin tolerates it. Based on what you said, I'm assuming you used it quite a bit more often straight away ?

Ima put y'all on to game. If this causes you irritation. Apply a moisturizer before hand. Then put a few drops ove this over it. I can use this with no irritation at all and this helped my sensitive skin to the max
no your supposed to apply products based on smallest molecule size to biggest, this exfoliator wont absorb properly if you use it after. use moisturizer AFTER you apply this!

my routine is pc cleanser, pc bha, 10% azelaic acid, c5 super boost moisturizer then sumcreen. its my 3rd day using it. am I doing it correctly? also I will try to alternate with 8% aha gel exfoliant in the other days.

I use CeraVe SA smoothing cleanser every evening, can I also use Paula’s choice every evening after CeraVe? Or leave a day in between or less?

I have oily skin! I could paint an oil painting onto my bedroom wall; that’s how oily my face gets! I’ve been using YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE cleanser, St. Ive’s Blackhead scrub in morning and Kiehl’s Non-Oil Moisturizer little blue jar! I use this Paula’s Choice Exfoliant at night only maybe twice a week! I finally found some products that work for me! 🥰✨

I have dry skin can I use it
I applied Paula's Choice BHA exfoliant 10 minutes ago and my face feels very itchy. It's not a tingling sensation but itchiness and slight irritation. This is the reason I include it in my routine. Instead I use my AHA salicylic acid and glycolic acid facewash in my routine with a vitamin E moisturizer.

I use this product every night for my acne, i put 1 drop on 1 cheek each, 1 on my front, and 1 for my chin. Do you think it's more efficient to have more drops, especially on the buttons zone?
And what application method do you think is the most efficient ? Like when I apply/spread the product, if I rub it for more minutes, is it better, or just apply/spread the product on my face ?

I use benzoyl peroxide cleanser and start to use paul’s choice , you said that they cancel each other , so can I use one of them in a day and the other on another day? In the same period but not together cause l have active acne and I don’t think that paul choice is sufficient alone ?
Yes, don’t use it together. This product at the beginning you use 2x maximum 3x a week.
How can I use the PC BHA and Sunday Riley’s Good Genes? I realize they’re both actives. Do I alternate days?
Yes since good genes is a lactic acid leave on treatment you don’t want to mix more acids with the paula’s choice bha. I would use seperately on alternate days. But just remember you don’t need to exfoliate every day x

So I have this Paulla’s Choice, should I pair it with Topicals Brightening & Clearing Serum? Also are there any recommendations for sunscreen?
Use separately as recommended by Topicals. They mention not to use at the same time as bha’s/aha’s or retinol.
Sunscreen there are so many great ones but finding one for your skin type is important. I prefer to use a natural spf with zinc oxide, currently using ASAP hydrating defence 50+ works well for my oily skin.

Can i use la roche posay moisturizer with this? It has niacinamide in it.
Yes a moisturiser is fine x if you notice any issues then just switch out the moisturiser when you use the bha lotion
i started using this twice a week, i have combination skin (everything dry but only t zone) in the past couple days i’ve noticed that my forehead started getting really bad closed comedones alone with my jaw line. should i stop using it or give it a couple weeks? i stared using it 2-3 weeks ago
It’s up to you but I would give it a few more weeks, you may be experiencing purging which is normal when using a new active product.

Right before moisturizer! Make sure not to wash the bha off and let it soak in to your skin by patting it

My current routine MORNING cleanser vitamin c moisturiser and sunscreen NIGHT cleanser retinol and moisturiser (all cerave) i just bought paulas exfoliate … can u suggest me when should i use this
Rotate your retinol with the bha liquid exfoliant :) in the evenings. Since you are using retinol already, incorporate the bha twice a week. It also might be good to have 1 night break from both retinol + bha. See how your skin goes

hOW IS IT GOING SO FAR?
Been using it with the cerave face cleanser. Use it once at night 3xs a week and deff can notice my pores closing up , a lot of my black marks are going down, and I have been getting compliments about my skin looking more clear at work.
I started using mine together with cerave cleanser and skin success day and night fade cream and I feel my hyperpigmentation is worsening, should I continue using it? It’s only been three weeks.

not an expert but it sounds like that would be too harsh on the skin since shaving is comparable to physical exfoliation. freshly shaved skin tend to be more sensitive in my experience
Can you use it in your skincare routine everyday at night as the first step after cleansing(then 3%pha, bha etc etc. toner, niacinamide, vitamin c, moisturizer)
Do you still need to apply sunscreen even if you are indoors everyday and go out maybe for a couple time as it's skin regeneration properties make your skin extra sensitive to the uv rays?
You should always use sunscreen when is day, unless where you are there's no windows so the sunlight doesn't go through them.
Would I be able to use this on my chest area to help with the acne I have on there?

You can try a serum with both Aha and Bha in it so it targets all of your concerns.
Also looking at what serums you are using also to target your concerns of uneven skin tone

A few times a week until it runs out xx then replenish or you can use a different exfoliant x
On the Paula’s Choice website it says you don’t have to wait to apply more products after applying the exfoliant but this video says to wait a few minutes..which is it?
I would apply as soon as it’s absorbed, for some people this will be straight away, for others it can take a min or so - depending on whether you apply with a cotton pad, with your hands as well as how much product you apply xx

Yes you should always wear moisturiser to hydrate and to protect your skin. Spf during the day as exfoliating acids cause sun sensitivity. So yes both
AHAs and BHAs known to increase the skins sensitivity to sun. Applying SPF is compulsory
No it not compulsory unless you wear it during the day
If you apply only at night you don't need a sunscreen

is it overly stripping to use this at night with a Bakuchiol serum? and what about a snail mucin toner? (it says it lightly exfoliates)
Use the bha exfoliating lotion and bakuchiol separately on different nights :)
Otherwise yes it can be too much for the skin. Over exfoliating is one of the main reasons to an impaired skin barrier that leads to additional skin conditions.
Nice clear explanation. But I still don't know if you use the AHA or BHA. Maybe I should go back to Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta wipes instead.
If you have more dry dehydrated skin - go with AHA
If you have more oily skin - go with the BHA

Hey , my current skin care routine is:- Cetaphil cleanser - derma co vitamin c serum which already have 5% niacinamide in it- minimalist moisturizer - minimalist sunscreen. Now i wonder when should i use this exfoliate.!

It’s a leave on product :) so you don’t need to wash it off!

@@rmorton8281 For larger pores, I'd recommend Paula's Choice Invisible Finish Moisturizing Gel, that specific product is great for combination/oily skin. It doesn't leave skin feeling greasy, and won't make your skin look oily and weirdly shiny either, which many moisturizers will. It's worked really well for me, my large pores are way less noticeable now. If you need to exfoliate, I'd probably just use an exfoliating cleanser 2-3x/week instead of a leave-on exfoliant, because it sounds like your skin is reacting poorly
@@rmorton8281you might be using too much. 4-5 drops and then pat it into your skin. it should dry after a few minutes and then you’ll be able to moisturise

- I like to use the exfoliant after shaving, and I would get slight burning on where I shave, is that a normal occurrence? (It stops after a couple of minutes)
- I have hyaluronic acid toner (alcohol denat, hydrolysis sodium hyluronate, rose water, and sorbic acid as the main ingredients) and the ordinary niacinamide with 1% zinc, so could I combine those together? If so, in what order and wait time?
Another question: I’m planning to switch the toner to cosrx bha/aha toner, would that be fine on the skin if use with the salicylic acid or should I separate them?
P.S I have combination skin and currently use the exfoliant and mentioned products at night with cetaphil cream to foam cleanser
Omg im so sorry but u are ruining your skin😭 first of all I apologise for my bad english. U shouldn’t exfoliate right after u shave. It will ruin your skin barrier and many problems will occur. I suggest u exfoliate twice a a week but make sure u dont use it on the same day as u shave. And also i would recommend u to exfoliate at night. niacinamide shouldn’t be in the same routine when shave or exfoliate. And also cosrx bha toner and paula’s choice are basically using quite the same ingredients so not a good idea to combine those two in the same routine also. @@fatihahismail9236 ah thank you so much, i actually stop using salicylic acid and use some by mi retinol instead. My current routine is only using the retinol once a week with no toner or niacinamide on the same day, but i still use the same hyaluronic acid toner and niacinamide other days

Hi. I’ve been using a cleanser, BHA 2%, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and a moisturizer. My dark spots have gotten darker and more dry. Any reason why?

I will have to admit that I did wash with this Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant and it did NOTHING for me! Even when I left it on, I didn't see any improvement! However, when I washed with CeraVe 2% Salicylic acid wash, that did help me! It seems to have cleared my left cheek, which is the only area where I need it!
That’s great to hear about the CeraVe cleanser. This paula’s choice liquid extoliant is not a face wash though, it’s a leave on exfoliant. You use it like a toner (it needs to stay on your skin) not removed xx

I found the way to use them It doesn't matter who is applied to the skin first
But favourite way first apply the salicylic on dry skin if ur skin is not sensitive Wait until the salicylic is absorbed by the skin about 10 to 15 minutes then use niacinamide. If the skin is sensitive wait about 30 minutes ,last thing use moisturizer after niacinamide is absorbed

Depending on the exfoliant, you have wash off exfoliants where you would leave on for 5-10mins and rinse off then finish your routine.
Or you use a leave on exfoliant, like this one x

How much is a small amount of
Apply a few drops to a cotton pad or to your hands and apply to your skin. If you feel you need more, apply a few more drops. :)
Pls Can I use this with d clay and go vitamin C serum?
It will depend on the brands vitamin c, some brands do not recommend to use exfoliating acids at the same time as some active ingredients. You can contact the brand to be safe x

I first cleanse my skin with Cetaphil Cleanser. After patting or drying my skin I apply about 5 drops of the exfoliant. After waiting for it to dry I apply my moisturizer which is also from Cetaphil. Is this okay? I haven't experienced any purging yet. ( I only exfoliate once a week )

Yes
I purged on my first month, probably due to other stuffs i used with it (cerave moisturizer and PC Toner). I stopped for a month for my skin to recover on purging.
Then i used it back again. It worked!
But this time only the PC BHA (2x a week at night time) and very thin ghee (purified butter) as moisturizer. Sunscreen is applied when i have to be outdoor.

I don't use toners or serums with PC BHA either . I apply it 5 minutes after cleansing and follow with very thin layer of PC clear moisturizer . And that's it . I don't exfoliate during the day , only at night . And I dont purge and it gives immediate results .

Don't use them together. It could irritate your skin. Instead, use them in seperate times. For example, you can use niacinamide in the morning and BHA in the evening. Or, you can use niacinamide in one night and BHA in the other night.

@@nafizanowrin7771 Yes sure, Paula's choice Hydrating gel to cream cleanser. It doesn't strip the skin but removes makeup/sunscreen effectively and perfect for oily skin. It is my current fave cleanser.
