I'm a 38 year old male and have TN. I wish there were doctors in my mid Atlantic state that were educated on TN. It's such a horrible experience causing fear and limitations. The medication so far helps so far so I'm hopeful. Even in worse flare ups i try to keep humor and positivity. We can all prevail through this!

Hang in there. U can make it thru this. If u can get to Houston Texas consider an MVD surgery. It's amazing and so worth it.

I feel your pain litterally lol i was 23 when diagnosed and im 33 now, i dont suggest only dealing with your family doctor or emergency room doctors, i was on tegritol for a year and it helped for the sorta dull pain but not the extremely sharp pain that comes on fast, now i take Gabapentin everyday and it works 90% of the time, your not alone with this pain, good luck friend

@@curtissarnoski7012 hello, I have atypical tn, nonstop tooth gum pain. Relentless n severe. Curious if yours was constant pain. Gabapentin didn’t work, dr said I need very high doses. How much gaba do you take to relieve your pain? Happy to hear you are doing well, what a blessing. Thanks so much.

I had an mri recently after being told I have tn . I started taking tegretol. Ended up with pain behind my left eye. The mri shows I have a cyst in my left sinus. Are these connected? My doctor told me everything is fine. How is everything fine when I dont feel fine.

If the doctor is saying the pain is not there all the time then there is more to my pain because, the pain I have is every second, minute hour, 365 days if the yr. I The problem now is I can't differentiate between migraine and the trigeminal when it's happening at the same time. My only luck is the pain is there all the time but i can endure some some are REALLY REALLY BAD!!!!. This is just indescribable. I am so scared now I don't know what to do! I was recommended Ubrelvy for the bad migraine and it's making it worse! I really need help. Someone please help. The medications are making me forgetful now too! Oh Lord😭😭😭😭😥😥😥

Mine hits my teeth. Upper and lower. Just like tooth ache. Cold water helps calm the pain down until the pain builds up again. I also take Tegtetol but that can space you out so little as possible

@@LarkinHealthSystem all good at the moment. I tend to get flare up of it. When I feel it starting I go on the Tegtelol tablets for a few days.
I've since had the top tooth root filled after my dentist messed up a crown. It's now just flattened off because I'm not keen on having it taken out. But now when I get TN it only hurts in the lower tooth. I guess that's because the top tooth has no nerve to it.
