I like how this entire scene is being used by The Doctor as a means of escape. He uses his moment of singing as a way to get the ball rolling, then having Ruby takeover so he can formulate a plan, and then coming back in to subtly tell Ruby his plan while ending the song. …or maybe The Doctor decided he wanted to show the Master and the Toymaker weren’t just the only ones who could do spontaneous song and dance.
I love the Doctors quick thinking. Its like in the empty child when he tells the boy to go to his room, its such a doctor moment to think of a way out so quickly

I think this is a good moment for the 15th Doctor. He plays along with the enemy of the day, keeps focus on the way to get out of danger, and the companion survives.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the 2023 specials. Just the fact that the Doctor crashed the party and just started singing himself and that the singing is just a distraction is just amazing. And the singing voices. THE SINGING VOICES!

People are butt hurt that the dark, brooding, melodrama of Moffat's era is finally gone. We got rid of the lens flares and cinematic lighting, we got rid of The Doctor always looking sad and grumpy. We got the fun back!! Wahoo!!
See now I really thought that I was gonna hate this episode because I haven’t been a big fan of what RTD has done since he’s been back. Sat down to watch this on Christmas Day and genuinely enjoyed every single moment of the episode. It actually surprised me how much fun I was having.

I did not like his character in Sex Ed so I was pretty apprehensive when he was chosen as the Doctor. He’s great though. He’s already established as the Doctor in my mind. I’m getting 11 vibes from him but without the heavy weight of the years 11 had.

Although I did notice that while the character was as curious and eager for life as ever he was more thoughtful about things. I chalked it up to human and character growth but I suppose the other role he was involved in had some influence.

As much as I hate the whole storyline of goblins eating babies, I love how this shows what a great companion Ruby is. Just jumps in and starts singing, manages to rhyme, and is successful at the goal to distract the goblins.
This is one of my favourite scenes in the Christmas episode. Ncuti and Miller have really good voices. The song is so catchy. I can't stop thinking about it. But I thought Spice up your life in the Giggle was better. The Toymaker only mimes and dances to it but it's become an earworm just like rasputin in power of the Doctor.
Can they stop choosing Doctors who are so overpoweringly, distractingly, borderline criminally attractive? It's a mix of The Doctor's confidance and the actor's beauty. But it looks like Capaldi will continue to be the only Nu Who Doctor I've not had a crush on. And tbh, even Capaldi I wouldn't have said no to.
If that's really Millie Ginson singing and not her being overdubbed by another person, I must say she has a really pretty voice. I'm not really a fan of the new Doctor, but I really came to love Ruby.

It's a mix of The Doctor's confidance and the actor's beauty. But it looks like Capaldi will continue to be the only Nu Who Doctor I've not had a crush on.
