The Nexus 6P is still a better buy - QuadHD Display, Front Facing Speakers, Fast updates, Beautiful Design and basically the same price. No flagship killer here, what happened One Plus?
When you get technical, the dash charge system is the best from a battery care stand point. Many LiPos can be charged at 2C which is double the capacity of the battery and results in a 30min charge time. They love high current but hate high voltage, which is what the other comps have been using.

i have tap credit card,it is easy enough, and the tap single can pass the pocket, no need take out the credit card from wallet. wont do record any payment on cellphone...too have hackers on Android phone. not safe. apple pay could be trust, but not Android
you do realize ALL the phones that were hacked in the big celebrity scandel were APPLE. Google is so far ahead of apple when it comes to security (they have had 2 step verification FOREVER). As usual the sheep that buy iPhones don't know any better and assume what you assume which is laughable.
It has been clarified that it wasn't a hack, but an elaborate phishing scam. That basically means Apple's security wasn't at fault... It also wasn't a phone thing, but Apple's iCloud storage.
Jeroenimous HD how is not offering a simple 2 step verification till years after Google and the rest of the industry did so NOT an Apple Security fault end of story.
+ExtremeTalker2000 lol, deal with an error he made, mate. Ofc he knows exactly how much phones they release, he is pretty involved with OP, getting phones to release pre sale, being in the documentary and so on.
i still am too. My only complaints after 4 years is it being slow on large apps. and battery life is reduced but thats still not a big deal with the fast charging. Other than that its solid in every way
@@MrSamsam911 wow. Another 5 years. That's impressive. Shows that it pays to buy flagship specs. I also guessed it'll be good for another 3-4 years. Maybe for another 5 years one will have to change battery and install custom ROM.

+Arjun Lathi thanks bud. I was thinking of maybe going for something smaller, like the Sony Xperia z5 compact but it's still a little expensive. The oneplus 3 is probably the one I will get though. Any issues with it running warm?
Bought this phone when it was newly launched and had it for four years. I remember buying it after seeing this very same video. Out of the blue, TH-cam recommended this video back again in 2024, and feels like a walk down the memory lane. Nostalgic. 😊
And here I am in mid 2020 still using my original OnePlus 3!!! Still very usable. Some lags here and there start happening though. Now I just want it to hold until the Thanksgiving sale of the OnePlus 8 pro.
he bought it today, so he hasn't received it yet. But I think you'll definitely like the phone. I had the OnePlus One and was one of the best phones I had.

Youness TAGHZOUT OP3 only because of price...gs7 has wireless charging..better camera..fast charging on wire and wireless ..waterproof...sd card...better to same battery...and the exynos version is better than the sd820..
I did a doubletake when he said "They didn't remove the headphone jack or anything" this was made in June and Apple announced this new feature for iPhone 7 in September. I laughed, this guy can predict the future.
Marques was calling out thin phones with camera bumps in 2014/2015/2016. Here we are in 2021 with the thinnest phones and the biggest camera bumps. Could you imagine if the Note 20 Ultra filled out that monster camera bump with battery?
Higher refresh-rate on phones is certainly a visible and bigger jump in technology, when we compare his reviews of older devices with those of newer ones. Warp Charge and the increase in refresh rate, are the best things that has happened to OnePlus till date.
***** Couldn't agree more because what you said is completely true. I just found iPhone 7 to be kind of off-topic at first, but later realized what you meant. Apple's really good at stealing wallets XD Everyone should make their phone thicker to make room for a bigger battery and as a + the camera hump is gone!
It's 2022 and i'm still using a oneplus 3 as my primary phone . Battery is holding up great. Been using gcam application for camera and honestly surprises some iphone users for the quality of pictures it clicks. Charges up fast No lags or hanging up, nothing. Still Looking for an upgrade but as we know oneplus is totally messed up as a brand now. Want to switch to an iPhone...but still not convinced to switch to a different OS.
Should I upgrade from my Moto X2 to this or should I opt for a higher-end phone? My eyes are currently on the Nexus 6P and the LG G5 but I don't want to break the bank if I don't have to.
You will not find a higher-end phone, since the OnePlus 3 is the fastest phone on the market currently. You'd only find some phones with better cameras. Why is everone thinking that a 400€ phone can't be high-end?
We got our op3 fixed like 2 days ago, and, its beautiful. apart from the heating, and the rapid battery loss, this is an amazing device. the software is soo good. i really hate how oxygen os is just the same as color os and realme's skin, but it was so good back then....
I've been using this still, it's 2020 and obviously it's my secondary phone now but it's still working so well. I don't feel like throwing away at all, little did we know this phone under 30K would last for so many years.
***** Oww, i understand. If i could i would try to beat Apple too ahahha. I really hope they can work on this design in the future and do a world wide shipping instead of only China, the concept is amazing and i really haven't seen any phone like that yet. I understand that people are craving for this phone, the design , the concept everything. I think that Xiaomi made the first step, so other companies will also make this first step. We are going closer and closer to the future (Me as Christian the end almost lol) But for real, it's 2016 almost 2017 I don't want to wait till 2030 or 2040 till they make a phone full HD the best camera (camera from a real camera lens full HD). Different sizes 5.0 inch, up too 6.5 inch. I'm just happy that 1 of the 1000000 companies made the first step to actully make a phone of the future. And Xiaomi get's my heart because they just started out like 2015 or 2014 and they made SO much progress then any other phone in a few years. (Correct me if i'm wrong, my spelling is on Dutch lol)

Hey mkbhd. Thanks man. That's it.
Lmfao
lol
not the 3rd phone from OnePlus, lol
You forgot about the OnePlus X.
Oneplus3 = 4 this is their 4th phone
3rd flagship
I was thinking the same thing, I think he means 3rd flagship
+Carlton Simmons Jr.
oneplus 1
oneplus 2
oneplus X
and now the 4th is
oneplus 3
+Job Van GENT x wasn't a flagship
it's the 4th one.
.you forgot the one plus x
third flagship
He meant flagships maybe
The Oneplus X isn't a flagship though.
+LennyBenny still good tho ..
- Typed From my OPX
+alexdiezg Yea we know that, but it's still the 4th phone made by Oneplus
Here we were, debating about the 1080p screen in 2016 while Apple just ripped off a 828p iPhone Xr in 2018 for fckin $750 !!
the future is a weird place
@@antoniorodrigo310 So true!
utkarsh bharti and it hella sucks
You know nothing about displays
The same screen in 2019. Greetings!
OnePlus is all up in my sub box. Anyone else?
Yeah same 😂
u wot m8
how do u get to test phones abd etc.
yep
yeah
That home button tactile or touch sensitive? I assume the latter. Also great to see the LED notification is still there :)
Yes it's capacitive, not an actual button.
NooT Thanks. Prefer a clicky button, but any off screen buttons will do! :)
as a OP2 user capacitive button so useful.
i always use navbar but oneplus newer use physical buttons
So it's ugly for no reason? Tragic
Wow.. Did he say 6 gb of ram..?
Yep, it's a beast
Bernard Thomas Also the founder said that oneplus 4 is coming in 2017 with 8GB ram. 8GB! ram believe that
Bernard Thomas
Pratham Prabhu really that's awesome, maybe I'll wait but I'm hoping it's not expensive, thanks
mark lim it launched 5 months before at price range og of 400$
Bought this phone an year back after watching your review. Congrats on the 5M. Just revisiting your old videos.
Remember when OnePlus said people don't use NFC much? Well...
i have tap credit card,it is easy enough, and the tap single can pass the pocket, no need take out the credit card from wallet. wont do record any payment on cellphone...too have hackers on Android phone. not safe. apple pay could be trust, but not Android
you do realize ALL the phones that were hacked in the big celebrity scandel were APPLE.
+Jerry Milton THE TRUTH
Jeroenimous HD how is not offering a simple 2 step verification till years after Google and the rest of the industry did so NOT an Apple Security fault end of story.
Watching this in 2018 on my Oneplus 3. Still going strong! 💪
it's not the third phone. They had the One Plus X, too.
its the third flagship
+Joy Fud yes. Nevertheless, he said phone.
+Echtvergoldet well flagship is what he meant so deal with it
+ExtremeTalker2000 lol, deal with an error he made, mate. Ofc he knows exactly how much phones they release, he is pretty involved with OP, getting phones to release pre sale, being in the documentary and so on.
+Echtvergoldet great, you are sooooo cool
being using this phone for 4years + until now.... still fast as when i first used it... very satisfied by it quality..
i still am too. My only complaints after 4 years is it being slow on large apps. and battery life is reduced but thats still not a big deal with the fast charging. Other than that its solid in every way
@@MrSamsam911 How long do you guess it will last? As in being usable. (Except gaming)
@@N0Xa880iUL i think another 5 years as "usable". ill probably look into changing it after the pandemic cuz a nicer camera would also be nice
@@MrSamsam911 wow. Another 5 years. That's impressive. Shows that it pays to buy flagship specs. I also guessed it'll be good for another 3-4 years. Maybe for another 5 years one will have to change battery and install custom ROM.
the OnePlus 3, "We couldn't really think of a n original design so we just took the front and bottom of an iPhone 6S and the back of an HTC One."
Shit, just ordered a Motorola X Pure edition. I'll have to cancel/return and get this instead right?
do it!
yea I returned my pure for a one plus 3 and no regrets whatsoever
+Arjun Lathi I'm finding the pure gets quite warm when I use it. Just browsing chrome and Facebook and it gets to about 107f. My hand holding it tends to get uncomfortably warm.
+Paul Valakelis yea extremely warm, playing clash royale for about 10 minutes raises it to 45 Celsius. I highly recommend to return it for something else, the only things about it that impressed me were the screen and speakers.
+Arjun Lathi thanks bud. I was thinking of maybe going for something smaller, like the Sony Xperia z5 compact but it's still a little expensive. The oneplus 3 is probably the one I will get though. Any issues with it running warm?
When OnePlus was great and loved by everyone :')
Into the 8th year of OnePlus 3 😊. No issues at all. Got free battery replacement and boy battery is also very healthy
0:11 *The 4th phone
One Plus X is the 3rd
agree
noticed the same
was about to comment that
lol yep
yup!
thumbs up if you're watching this review again after watching OnePlus 3T review
One Plus 3 was the most beautiful phone by One Plus.
I feel that too.. no graphite color rears for all new oneplus models
I know! It also felt so good in the hand and the design was so clean
Fuck. I am still using this in 2020, and it works better than most mid-ranged phones imo. It's 4+ years old now..
How long you plan on using it.
@@N0Xa880iUL changed it a couple of months ago, the hardware started going haywire. Got OP 7T Pro.
My Dad still uses the OnePlus 3.......😌😌 (3 years now)
It works perfectly... till date
still going strong!!
Bought this phone when it was newly launched and had it for four years. I remember buying it after seeing this very same video. Out of the blue, TH-cam recommended this video back again in 2024, and feels like a walk down the memory lane. Nostalgic. 😊
1:33 omg you predicted the future😂
"I hope it lasts"
OnePlus 3, launched with 6 GB and Android 6 early in 2016, is flying still in 2021 on Android 9, lol.
Are your apps always refreshing? It has 6gb ram but mine keep dumping apps
@@wahahah I have a 12 GB OP8 Pro, so ... no. But a friend with a OP6 6 GB on Android 10 has no issues whatsoever with apps refreshing
@@raresmacovei8382 Ah. I have a oneplus 3 still :{

Same here!
same here

SAME!
Did it too.
And here I am in mid 2020 still using my original OnePlus 3!!! Still very usable. Some lags here and there start happening though. Now I just want it to hold until the Thanksgiving sale of the OnePlus 8 pro.
It's official. This phone is more powerful than my Pc.
I have now had the OP3 for 2.5 years. Still going strong!
Me too
I think I am going to upgrade from my iPhone 5s to this
I have a 5S and I have bought an OnePlus 3.
How are you liking it
The same here i have the 5s but its boring so i am thinking to top it with oneplus 3 and leave the 5s for training and workout as an iPod !
congrats man just tell us your thoughts on it
when you play with it for while !
he bought it today, so he hasn't received it yet. But I think you'll definitely like the phone. I had the OnePlus One and was one of the best phones I had.
Your phone reviews are impeccable. I guess that's why your channel is so big now. Congrats on all the success!
Be honest: s7 edge or oneplus 3? (Choose without looking at the price)
One plus 3 without loking the price
s7 edge obviously op3 with price though
+Ankit Sharma. No specs bild quality good look phone the best fast charge in the world
Biggg. Specs with low price a good caméra. This is complete package one plus 3 is really a beast
Youness TAGHZOUT OP3 only because of price...gs7 has wireless charging..better camera..fast charging on wire and wireless ..waterproof...sd card...better to same battery...and the exynos version is better than the sd820..
S7 > OnePlus 3 > S7 edge without looking at price.
OnePlus 3 > S7 > S7 edge with looking at price
I honestly dislike super thin phones, I have an LG G3 right now (switching to HTC 10 next month), I really prefer a heftier phone
I'm just saying they should have stuck with a thicker design and had more battery
+Chris Paul 😁
^^
+DarkLordLink I'm with you on that
I loved the LG V10 in my hands, imagine!
hello! Now I am using this phone and I am come from China
😂😂
Wtf
I did a doubletake when he said "They didn't remove the headphone jack or anything" this was made in June and Apple announced this new feature for iPhone 7 in September. I laughed, this guy can predict the future.
He made a video about the removal of the jack way before this one. iPhone 7 with no Headphone Jack?! 8 months ago. It was basically confirmed then.
How amazed he was about the 6 GB of RAM😂💚
(Galaxy Note 10 plus has 12)
its not the third phone from the manufacturer , its fourth
Don’t forget the X!
@@movonen That's why he said that!
@@RealTimeFun And I was agreeing with the comment
Never Settle is finally settled in 2021 // 2022.
Warp Charge and the increase in refresh rate, are the best things that has happened to OnePlus till date.
camera bumps are really terrible =(
get a case
***** What have iPhone 7 have to do with this now?
***** Couldn't agree more because what you said is completely true. I just found iPhone 7 to be kind of off-topic at first, but later realized what you meant. Apple's really good at stealing wallets XD
Everyone should make their phone thicker to make room for a bigger battery and as a + the camera hump is gone!
***** well, i have a instagram account
***** not interested, sorry
I am getting the 3T :)
It's 2022 and i'm still using a oneplus 3 as my primary phone .
Battery is holding up great.
Been using gcam application for camera and honestly surprises some iphone users for the quality of pictures it clicks.
Charges up fast
No lags or hanging up, nothing.
Still Looking for an upgrade but as we know oneplus is totally messed up as a brand now.

Watching your throw backs on the one plus 7T man one plus has come a long way
Who's watching this on there oneplus 3 in 2018

Made me reappreciate my phone :))
No sandstone? Why OnePlus?!! WHY!!!
just buy the vsandstone back
+akshay verma that basicly destroys the design...
You can still have a sandstone back.
there is a sandstone case
wow who gives a fuck
Should I upgrade from my Moto X2 to this or should I opt for a higher-end phone? My eyes are currently on the Nexus 6P and the LG G5 but I don't want to break the bank if I don't have to.
If you don't want to break the bank, buy the OnePlus 3
You will not find a higher-end phone, since the OnePlus 3 is the fastest phone on the market currently. You'd only find some phones with better cameras. Why is everone thinking that a 400€ phone can't be high-end?
I say u should get this phone it's awesome and is like 200$ - 300$ less in price compared to others
get this phone
+Roshe.EXE that's a great phone
We got our op3 fixed like 2 days ago, and, its beautiful. apart from the heating, and the rapid battery loss, this is an amazing device. the software is soo good. i really hate how oxygen os is just the same as color os and realme's skin, but it was so good back then....
Still using op 3 today.🤟😎
Anyone in 2019 !
1:03, I thought you almost dropped it
I've been using this still, it's 2020 and obviously it's my secondary phone now but it's still working so well. I don't feel like throwing away at all, little did we know this phone under 30K would last for so many years.
Should I buy one plus 3, at this point
Look at the review for the Xiaomi mi Mix now decide!
I like the xiaomi but if I import it can I use it here in the untied states?
But it's a pure gamble
justin singleton Yes you can there is English also you can downlaod Google Store apk.
