    He's going to need years of therapy to overcome his childhood trauma. As a survivor (myself) of parental neglect and subsequent abuse by predators who took advantage of my vulnerability, it has taken me years to stabilize. My heart goes out to him - he is showing classic signs of PTSD. Chude, please if you are reading this, assure Ifan that it is a sign of strength NOT weakness to seek professional help. If he doesn't deal with his foundation now, his 'success' might be short-lived. I've been there; my successes kept crashing until I stepped aside to revisit my past trauma.

    Thank you Chude. This is one of a program that will help both young men and women who were sexually abuse in their tenage age to come out and speak up. Because many of them are living in pains. Myself am one . Was sexually molested by my Uncle and even at 37yrs, I still feel that pain. And I intend to open a radio station in my Country and be the voice for many of those that couldn't speak up for themselves.

    In my career life, I have been opportune to work with a lot of young people in the sex work and gay community and I can say categorically that poverty, parental neglect and abuse more often drives young people into being continuously sexually abused. It's a sad reality but unfortunately it will get bigger in our society.
    What I struggle to understand is the extent of inhumanity, hypocrisy and callousness of adults in our society. Why can't people just help children for the sake of helping?

    My own is, that wicked & evil uncle Obi needs to be arrested; that's if he's still alive, hopefully not preying on anyone... I noticed he dodged the question about him, maybe somewhat still protecting him, somewhat expected & understandable. I also know he said he's over it but we all saw how he broke down and I get it, we always have to respect people's boundaries. He has to come to that decision of seeking professional help himself. I pray he finds peace. Shalom

If he had helped this young man by giving him a decent life/future wouldn’t he be proud of the man IFAN has become today! He would be mentioned in his success story. Wow?!.. This is our Nigeria where there are so many creatives yet so many damaged & broken souls but, our society teaches us to get on with it, move on, keep hustling and gain "accolades" without a "safe space" to share and without judgment.
    Chude, you are truly a gift to this generation and beyond. You gave Ifan his first "therapy session" without him realising. .. Sometimes therapy for our community comes in the form of friends, family, mentors and even strangers. The most important things are being able to share, not bottling it all up and not letting the trauma define us.

    • @GraceGodsRoyalDiadem
      @GraceGodsRoyalDiadem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It seems you did not listen to the story correctly. Nigeria moved from the days of phone booths and it was much later everyone could afford phones. He never mentioned that he owned a phone but clearly mentioned that the marketer's phone was switched off. Please try and show more empathy to someone who has come on air to say 'his truths'. I am also a molestation(no sex) survivor and could only speak up about it to family after 14years(2021). The person denied it but my cousin also went through same in the house. I wish I had spoken up earlier as it would have helped saved sibling and mother rivalry/strife now . But there was no evidence and it would just have been brushed off as 'can't your brother-in-law be caring again' especially for a quiet person like me. I am just saying let's be sensitive with our comments. Thank you.

    The guy is full of emotions. This is a sign that he is yet to heal from those traumatic experiences he went through. He needs a therapist because he hasn't moved on as he made said. Because of his emotions, Chude wasn't totally in control of the interview. Yes he wanted to hear him out but the guest ended up repeating himself over and over again. He messed up the interview with his frequent emotional outbursts.
    So many questions begging for answers here. His parents separated and he wasn't able to follow either of them, why? Why did he run away from home? After OPC guys, what happened? How many years did you stay with Bros Obi the Barber? At what point in your life did you meet Chude that gave you a rare opportunity to showcase yourself? Where are your parents now? That's why his marriage fell apart. So much garbage/ unhealed wounds in his past.
    Unfortunately, this is the issue with most broken homes!!!

    I hope the guy overcomes the trauma..he should reconcile with God to find total.peace and eliminate that feeling of guilt he is still having..most people that are abused are damaged psychologically and either become gay/lesbians due to the trauma..Wicked people including child molesters will never go unpunished

    This guy clearly was not really ready for this yet. He should have been fully briefed that you are more interested in his childhood trauma than in his present success and given him a choice of which one he prefers to talk about on camera.
    He wanted to talk more about his achievements and he clearly bottled up a lot inside. To be honest, I felt he was Ill-prepared and he should have been shielded from the toxic Shame he felt.
    Secondly, I think due to the abuse, his lifestyle is somewhat distorted. He doesn’t feel much of a sense of guilt because he has normalised the situation as something to be expected from the life of a hustler.
    Through no fault of his, he might still be indulging in that type of lifestyle as it’s addictive, hence, talking about it made him feel extremely uncomfortable.
    In actual fact Chude should have picked this up and stopped completely. It’s very much unlike other free-flowing interviews because the others seem to have dealt with their trauma and were prepared to use it to help others. They have been able to heal, detach themselves from it and seen the perpetrators as the villains but he sees his abusers as helpers. That speaks volumes.
    I just pray that he sees this for what it was and gets help. Also for him not to think it’s okay to carry on in that path as a means of success and a quick-door opener to fame.
    Saying “he has gone past that” for him can be interpreted as he has adapted to such lifestyle not necessarily that he has left that lifestyle behind
    I truly hope he finds all the help that he needs. Especially divine help for total deliverance and liberation.
    He has done so well for himself though and clearly a very gifted and talented. Clearly being watched over by God who needs him and his life story to help others. I pray that through his full story, closure and total healing with come to him and everyone who reads/hears his story. Let’s carry on praying for him pls

      @TOOO951 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah he wasn't ready. And I feel chude was pushing him too much. He has a sense of respect for Chude so I guess he had to keep going. He's probably going to get home and cry more from the past he just opened forcefully.

    • @msjoy431
      @msjoy431 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly as difficult as it was for him to relive that childhood trauma that has been bottled up for so long.
      He wanted to talk about it and that's why he did. Chudi stopped twice and I'm sure there must have been conversations behind the scene to check on his ability to continue with the disclosure. What he did right there isn't shame, it is called release, he finally could release all the pain he has bottled up. It was a difficult session but it os the beginning of his healing, with the right help and with tiime he will speak with no more tears, he will be able to straighten his distorted view of why the abuse occurred. I pray his journey to recovery is not long. I pray he continues to do well in life and forgive all who took advantage of him. His ability to speak this publicly is grace that will give hope to others. He was only a child, I pray the perpetrators also see this interview and see the pain they've caused others.
      Thank you Ifan for the courage to speak your pain and share that part of your life, I belive you are healed spirit, soul and body in Jesus name.

    Rather unfortunate, men go through all this and hardly talk about it. They suffer in silence and turn it on other women because they didn’t receive any psychological treatment to deal with the void created. As a result, they end up liking sex but hating women. It’s time to get the abused men to also speak 🗣 out.
