This gentleman is my pastor and i remember about 11years ago joining GIC surulere then, i came to church for the first time and boom on the podium playing the keyboard humble before man and God, ID cabasa, i was amazed seeing someone i adored in my generation musically working for God, i wanted to know more, he actually influenced my still being a member of the church without him knowing 😅, when you see grace, its like a prism and its illuminates, thank God we are under the same grace @ the goodland, we are blessed to be a blessing❤
ID Cabasa is the timberland of Nigerian music.
People say they stay because of their children but I stayed because of my wife..... WORD
So, I watched the full interview on Channels today and my wife and I agreed that it was one of the best interviews we have watched in recent time. Cabasa was deeper than we had always thought.
You should listen to his session at THE NEW'S Next Conference 2022. He's very insightful, spiritual and profound. Everytime I listen to him speak, it's a blessing.

Hmmm, "You were Don Jazzy before Don Jazzy" you got that right Chude.
I think what Chude was referencing with that statement is the fact that Don Jazzy didn't use to talk when he first joined the industry. He only use to talk through the mouth of D'banj.
This is such a vulnerable session. Very spirit filled. You don't get his kind everyday, he is a rare spiritual being.

The Nigerian system sometimes demand you do that,that usually is a saving grace.
He is so self-aware, and it's so wholesome to watch. The journey to being our truest self never stops because we keep learning and unlearning. If you look deeply, we were kinda domesticated aka Home training😅, you can't just switch. Just be patient with yourself. ID, you're doing well, thank you, Chude. You're doing a good job.

What a humble man.
When he spoke on the 'pride' thing, it touched me becuz my boss a few days ago told me i was proud and have ego. This really crushed me because I've moved from experiencing bullying and being told I would not amount to anything to a woman who is vocal, committed and hardworking and honest. I know I'm flawed but for me to feel this way again sent me back to those traumas. I'm still trying to find where the pride is coming from and I can't seem to find it.😢
Hey… don’t feel bad. The fact that you feel crushed, speaks to the fact that you seek to be the best YOU. Don’t let what your boss said crush you. You clearly aren’t proud. Flawed, we all are… allow yourself go through the journey of self actualization and mastery.

Sometimes people just define us based on their limited use of vocabulary and the judgemental behaviour synonymous with the average Nigerian on a good day.
But all the same,in a bid to be opinionated and self confident,we sometimes blur the thin line and come across as egotistical.
So this means,you MUST ask The Holy Spirit to help you stay truly humble but growing in the corporate world.
He may even be threatened by what you carry,who knows?

Hey Queen, don’t feel bad, however we sometimes express our unhealed traumas as excessive confidence. Confidence is great but being overly vocal can sometimes mean we’re trying to prove that we’re worth it. Your boss might not be entirely correct but she might not be entirely wrong. Just be more mindful of how you show and express yourself and you may find areas you need to be more tactful especially in the way you express yourself. Don’t limit yourself but don’t try to prove anything to anyone either. You’re enough and you’re worth it! No extras required❤ sending love and light your way🥂

This exactly has been my problem for the most part of my life, as a creative person, I know I can definitely get famous if I start putting myself and everything I do out there but then am scared of being judged by family, friends and people that don’t even know me, it’s crazy, especially in a generation where attention is currency.
I understand but don’t think about judgements do your think because it’s always you against you

What a powerful session. Great job @ID Cabasa & @chude. It's so cool you found yourself & you found purpose, money will always follow. More grace in all you do brother. It's obvious our parents, siblings, culture/environment play a major role in our belief system while growing up & they also tend to form part of our insecurities.

A man that says he is still on the journey to becoming himself amongst other things, is a very deep thinker.
If it's any comfort to him though, I have never heard of him and never seen him before today.
He needs to write all this thoughts for the world to get as wise. ID Cabasa has embodied a lot of character that supercedes his fame, history needs to herald and respect his craft and wisdom.
