I used to use Camel snus which is the only brand available in Maine but it gave me hicups like friggin crazy so I switched back to Kodiak. Love the vids hoping to try some European snus in the future.
You were getting too much nicotine, try a lower dose or take it out before the hiccups start.
Don't wait to swallow when your mouth has a ton of spit. Swallow way before then or spit. The large amount of the flavoring is aggravating the back of your tongue. Changing flavors can also help
There's something about the way that it's released. I think it's more likely to activate the hiccough reflex compared to regular snus with much higher nicotine. I'll hiccough with skoal snus, but siberia will NEVER make me hiccough.
Only tried the tropical one once but it was near the end of its shelf life and had all sort of congealed together in a messy blob.

Secondly, i live in the uk and had the luxury of walking into a brick and mortar tobacconist to buy it (along with my nasal snuffs).
I will say that no, it is not just more anise. Taste wise, it was pleasurable. Baring in mind this was the first and only oliver twist bits I've tried, i found it to have a sweetness that countered the bitterness of the tobacco well, which did eventually transpire to a fruitful and, well, tropical note. Definitely worth the try, and I would again if it was fresher, but sadly we were within one month of expiry, and it all turned into a congealed blob which wasnt much fun to use at all.

Have you ever tried knox Xtra Stark (strong)? It's my favorite snus cause it's 19 mg/gram, it's fairly cheap considering that snus prices have skyrocketed in recent years in Sweden. it's about 300 kr per stock (10 cans). And the flavour is pretty great.
