It's nice to see.even published writers suffer from worldbuilding disease. I think you're like the first i've heard admit it instead of just talking about it like a moral failing that lesser writers have. ❤
I've built things that are so ridiculously detailed, no one is ever going to see them, and I know it! The key lesson is to catch yourself when you start going to down the rabbit hole and stop before you've completely vanished haha.
Thank you so much for going through and explaining the different stages from telling to showing. I think I suffer from pretty prose but my work is far from complete. After 83+ pages of world building I've finally convinced myself that's enough and I need to focus on the actual story 😅I always find value in your videos! Looking forward to more of these!
You're very welcome. Just remember not to get trapped in world builder's disease. It's very easy to just keep building and never write. Rather write, even if it is a little incomplete around the edges.
