I think it is unreasonable to expect from Ukraine to liberate any territories by force if Ukrainians don't want to sign up for military service. The defense should be the sole priority.
Mobilisation. You need to get it RIGHT. It’s working fine in Ukraine. Most people are not going to volunteer to go to war. That takes an exceptional type of person. People in Ukraine do recognise they are going to be called up (mobilised) so are making the best of the time they can with their loved ones. The bit that didn’t go right was that Zelensky left it a bit late, but better late than never. Regards people leaving the country. We’re talking about thousands, (a drop in the ocean). The pool to choose recruits from inside Ukraine right now is in the millions. If your’e going to come on social media and spout this tripe, maybe you should not do it on Times Radio (respect to Times Radio for broadcasting it as it is, thank you)

Why is Putin in such desperate need for land in other countries, isn't Russia large enough?
It isn't a war for territory.
It is a war for hearts and minds. If UA becomes a successful Western country (like PL) then it would be the first of the major Slavic states to throw off the dead wood of the RU Empire. This is an existential threat to the kleptocracy of VVP, Lukashenko and the other dictators out that way. VVP doesn't want or need the territory at all - as you rightly note. What he wants and has striven for since 2004 (Orange Revolution) is a pliant and compromised UA regime in Kiev that is beholden to Moscow. Like Minsk.

Nobody was ever going to cut their noses off to spite their faces, so everyone looks at the situation through their fingers. The deficit of oil will have to be offset by other means, for example getting the South American oil production up and running.

Amazing - the world order created and dominated by the USA comes under attack, and the USA says "don't count on us, when the going gets tough, we desert our allies and run away". The Europeans have stepped up and are giving more than the US, but the US has weapons and capabilities in quantities we just don't have.
